Leviticus 10:6-20
6Then MosesH4872 saidH559 to AaronH175 and to his sonsH1121 EleazarH499 and IthamarH385, “1Do not 2uncoverH6544 your headsH7218 norH3808 tearH6533 your clothesH899, so that you will not dieH4191 and that He will not 3becomeH7107 wrathfulH7107 againstH5921 allH3605 the congregationH5712. But your 4kinsmenH251, the wholeH3605 houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, shall bewailH1058 the burningH8316 whichH834 the LordH3068 has 5broughtH8313 about. 7You shall not even goH3318 out from the doorwayH6607 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150, orH6435 you will dieH4191; for 6the Lord’sH3068 anointingH4888 oilH8081 is upon you.” So they didH6213 according to the wordH1697 of MosesH4872.
8The LordH3068 then spokeH1696 to AaronH175, sayingH559, 9“7Do not drinkH7941 wineH3196 or strongH7941 drinkH8354, neither you norH408 your sonsH1121 with you, when you comeH935 into the tentH168 of meetingH4150, so that you will not dieH4191--it is a perpetualH5769 statuteH2708 throughout your generationsH1755-- 10and 8so as to makeH914 a distinctionH914 betweenH996 the holyH6944 and the profaneH2455, and betweenH996 the uncleanH2931 and the cleanH2889, 11and 9so as to teachH3384 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 allH3605 the statutesH2706 whichH834 the LordH3068 has spokenH1696 to them throughH3027 MosesH4872.”
12Then MosesH4872 spokeH1696 to AaronH175, and to his survivingH3498 sonsH1121, 10EleazarH499 and IthamarH385, “11TakeH3947 the grain offeringH4503 that is leftH3498 overH3498 from the Lord’sH3068 offeringsH801 by fireH801 and eatH398 it unleavenedH4682 besideH681 the altarH4196, for it is mostH6944 holyH6944. 13You shall eatH398 it, moreover, in a holyH6918 placeH4725, becauseH3588 it is your dueH2706 and your sons’H1121 dueH2706 out of the Lord’sH3068 offeringsH801 by fireH801; for thusH3651 I have been commandedH6680. 1412The breastH2373 of the waveH8573 offeringH8573, however, and the thighH7785 of the offeringH8641 you may eatH398 in a cleanH2889 placeH4725, you and your sonsH1121 and your daughtersH1323 with you; for they have been givenH5414 as your dueH2706 and your sons’H1121 dueH2706 out of the sacrificesH2077 of the peaceH8002 offeringsH8002 of the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478. 1513The thighH7785 offeredH8641 by liftingH8641 up and the breastH2373 offeredH8573 by wavingH8573 they shall bringH935 alongH5921 with the offeringsH801 by fireH801 of the portionsH2459 of fatH2459, to presentH5130 as a waveH8573 offeringH8573 beforeH6440 the LordH3068; so it shall be a thingH2706 perpetuallyH5769 dueH2706 you and your sonsH1121 with you, justH3512 as the LordH3068 has commandedH6680.”
16But MosesH4872 searchedH1875 carefullyH1875 for the 14goatH5795 of the sinH2403 offeringH2403, and beholdH2009, it had been burnedH8313 up! So he was angryH7107 with Aaron’sH175 survivingH3498 sonsH1121 EleazarH499 and IthamarH385, sayingH559, 17“WhyH4069 15did you not eatH398 the sinH2403 offeringH2403 at the holyH6944 placeH4725? For it is mostH6944 holyH6944, and 16He gaveH5414 it to you to bearH5375 away 17the guiltH5771 of the congregationH5712, to makeH3722 atonementH3722 for them beforeH6440 the LordH3068. 18BeholdH2005, 18since its bloodH1818 had not been broughtH935 insideH6441, into the sanctuaryH6944, you should certainlyH398 have 19eatenH398 it in the sanctuaryH6944, justH3512 as I commandedH6680.” 19But AaronH175 spokeH1696 to MosesH4872, “BeholdH2005, this very dayH3117 they 20presentedH7126 their sinH2403 offeringH2403 and their burntH5930 offeringH5930 beforeH6440 the LordH3068. When things like theseH428 happenedH7122 to me, if I had eatenH398 a sinH2403 offeringH2403 todayH3117, would it have been goodH3190 in the sightH5869 of the LordH3068?” 20When MosesH4872 heardH8085 that, it seemedH3190 goodH3190 in his sightH5869.
