2 Kings 16:5-20
5ThenH227 1RezinH7526 kingH4428 of AramH758 and PekahH6492 sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425, kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, cameH5927 up to JerusalemH3389 to wage warH4421; and they besiegedH6696H5921 AhazH271, 2but couldH3201 not 3overcomeH3898 him. 6At that timeH6256 RezinH7526 kingH4428 of AramH758 recoveredH7725 4ElathH365 for AramH758, and clearedH5394 the JudeansH3064 out of 5ElathH359 entirely; and the 6ArameansH130 cameH935 to ElathH365 and have livedH3427 thereH8033 to thisH2088 dayH3117.
77So AhazH271 sentH7971 messengersH4397 to 8Tiglath-pileserH8407 kingH4428 of AssyriaH804, sayingH559, “I am your servantH5650 and your sonH1121; comeH5927 up and deliverH3467 me from the 9handH3709 of the kingH4428 of AramH758 and from the 10handH3709 of the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, who are risingH6965 up againstH5921 me.” 811AhazH271 tookH3947 the silverH3701 and goldH2091 that was foundH4672 in the houseH1004 of the LordH3068 and in the treasuriesH214 of the king’sH4428 houseH1004, and sentH7971 a presentH7810 to the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804. 912So the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804 listenedH8085 to him; and the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804 wentH5927 up againstH413 DamascusH1834 and 13capturedH8610 it, and carriedH1540 the people of it awayH1540 into exileH1540 to 14KirH7024, and putH4191 RezinH7526 to deathH4191.
10Now KingH4428 AhazH271 wentH1980 to DamascusH1834 to meetH7122 15Tiglath-pileserH8407 kingH4428 of AssyriaH804, and sawH7200 the altarH4196 whichH834 was at DamascusH1834; and KingH4428 AhazH271 sentH7971 to 16UrijahH223 the priestH3548 the 17patternH1823 of the altarH4196 and its modelH8403, according to allH3605 its workmanshipH4639. 11So UrijahH223 the priestH3548 builtH1129 an altarH4196; according to allH3605 that KingH4428 AhazH271 had sentH7971 from DamascusH1834, thusH3651 UrijahH223 the priestH3548 madeH6213 it, 18beforeH5704 the comingH935 of KingH4428 AhazH271 from DamascusH1834. 12When the kingH4428 cameH935 from DamascusH1834, the kingH4428 sawH7200 the altarH4196; then 19the kingH4428 approachedH7126 the altarH4196 and 20wentH5927 up to it, 13and 21burnedH6999 his burntH5930 offeringH5930 and his mealH4503 offeringH4503, and pouredH5258 his drinkH5262 offeringH5262 and sprinkledH2236 the bloodH1818 of his peaceH8002 offeringsH8002 on the altarH4196. 1422The bronzeH5178 altarH4196, whichH834 was beforeH6440 the LordH3068, 23he broughtH7126 from the frontH6440 of the houseH1004, from betweenH996 24his altarH4196 and the houseH1004 of the LordH3068, and he putH5414 it on the northH6828 sideH3409 of his altarH4196. 15Then KingH4428 AhazH271 25commandedH6680 UrijahH223 the priestH3548, sayingH559, “Upon the greatH1419 altarH4196 26burnH6999 27the morningH1242 burntH5930 offeringH5930 and the eveningH6153 mealH4503 offeringH4503 and the king’sH4428 burntH5930 offeringH5930 and his mealH4503 offeringH4503, with the burntH5930 offeringH5930 of allH3605 the peopleH5971 of the landH776 and their mealH4503 offeringH4503 and their drinkH5262 offeringsH5262; and sprinkleH2236 on it allH3605 the bloodH1818 of the burntH5930 offeringH5930 and allH3605 the bloodH1818 of the sacrificeH2077. But 28the bronzeH5178 altarH4196 shall be for me to inquireH1239 by.” 16So UrijahH223 the priestH3548 didH6213 according to allH3605 that KingH4428 AhazH271 commandedH6680.
17Then KingH4428 AhazH271 29cutH7112 offH7112 the bordersH4526 of the standsH4350, and removedH5493 the laverH3595 from them; he also 30tookH3381 downH3381 the seaH3220 from the bronzeH5178 oxenH1241 whichH834 were underH8478 it and putH5414 it on a pavementH4837 of stoneH68. 18The coveredH4146 wayH4146 for the sabbathH7676 whichH834 they had builtH1129 in the houseH1004, and the outerH2435 entryH3996 of the kingH4428, he removedH5437 from the houseH1004 of the LordH3068 becauseH4480H6440 of the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804. 19Now the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of AhazH271 whichH834 he didH6213, are they not writtenH3789 31in the BookH5612 of the ChroniclesH1697H3117 of the KingsH4428 of JudahH3063? 20So 32AhazH271 sleptH7901 with his fathersH1, and 33was buriedH6912 with his fathersH1 in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732; and his sonH1121 HezekiahH2396 reignedH4427 in his placeH8478.
