1 Kings 9:7-9
71then I will cutH3772 offH3772 IsraelH3478 from the landH127 whichH834 I have givenH5414 them, and 2the houseH1004 whichH834 I have consecratedH6942 for My nameH8034, I will 3castH7971 out of My sightH6440. So 4IsraelH3478 will becomeH1961 a proverbH4912 and a bywordH8148 among allH3605 peoplesH5971. 8And thisH2088 houseH1004 will becomeH1961 56a heapH5945 of ruinsH5945; everyoneH3605 who passesH5674 by will be astonishedH8074 and hissH8319 and sayH559, ‘7WhyH5921H4100 has the LordH3068 doneH6213 thusH3602 to thisH2088 landH776 and to thisH2088 houseH1004?’ 9And they will sayH559, ‘8BecauseH5921H834 they forsookH5800 the LordH3068 their GodH430, whoH834 broughtH3318 their fathersH1 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and adoptedH2388 otherH312 godsH430 and worshipedH7812 them and servedH5647 them, thereforeH5921H3651 the LordH3068 has broughtH935 allH3605 thisH2088 adversityH7463 on them.’”
