1 Kings 9:1-9

11Now it cameH1961 about when SolomonH8010 had finishedH3615 buildingH1129 the houseH1004 of the LordH3068, and 2the king’sH4428 houseH1004, and 3allH3605 4that SolomonH8010 desiredH2837H2654 to doH6213, 2that 5the LordH3068 appearedH7200 to SolomonH8010 a secondH8145 timeH8145, as He had appearedH7200 to him at GibeonH1391. 3The LordH3068 saidH559 to him, “6I have heardH8085 your prayerH8605 and your supplicationH8467, whichH834 you have madeH2603 beforeH6440 Me; I have consecratedH6942 thisH2088 houseH1004 whichH834 you have builtH1129 7by puttingH7760 My nameH8034 thereH8033 foreverH5704H5769, and 8My eyesH5869 and My heartH3820 will be thereH8033 perpetuallyH3605H3117. 4As for you, 9ifH518 you will walkH1980 beforeH6440 Me as your fatherH1 DavidH1732 walkedH1980, in integrityH8537 of heartH3824 and uprightnessH3476, doingH6213 according to allH3605 that I have commandedH6680 you and will keepH8104 My statutesH2706 and My ordinancesH4941, 5then 10I will establishH6965 the throneH3678 of your kingdomH4467 overH5921 IsraelH3478 foreverH5769, justH3512 as I 11promisedH1696 to your fatherH1 DavidH1732, sayingH559, ‘12You shall not lackH3772 a manH376 on the throneH3678 of IsraelH3478.’

6“13But ifH518 you or your sonsH1121 indeedH7725 turnH7725 awayH7725 from followingH310 Me, and do not keepH8104 My commandmentsH4687 and My statutesH2708 whichH834 I have setH5414 beforeH6440 you, and goH1980 and serveH5647 otherH312 godsH430 and worshipH7812 them, 714then I will cutH3772 offH3772 IsraelH3478 from the landH127 whichH834 I have givenH5414 them, and 15the houseH1004 whichH834 I have consecratedH6942 for My nameH8034, I will 16castH7971 out of My sightH6440. So 17IsraelH3478 will becomeH1961 a proverbH4912 and a bywordH8148 among allH3605 peoplesH5971. 8And thisH2088 houseH1004 will becomeH1961 1819a heapH5945 of ruinsH5945; everyoneH3605 who passesH5674 by will be astonishedH8074 and hissH8319 and sayH559, ‘20WhyH5921H4100 has the LordH3068 doneH6213 thusH3602 to thisH2088 landH776 and to thisH2088 houseH1004?’ 9And they will sayH559, ‘21BecauseH5921H834 they forsookH5800 the LordH3068 their GodH430, whoH834 broughtH3318 their fathersH1 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and adoptedH2388 otherH312 godsH430 and worshipedH7812 them and servedH5647 them, thereforeH5921H3651 the LordH3068 has broughtH935 allH3605 thisH2088 adversityH7463 on them.’”
