1Also, thou sonבֶן־ven-H1121of manאָדָ֔ם'a.DamH120,prophesyהִנָּבֵ֖אhi.na.Ve'H5012unto the mountainsהָרֵ֣יha.ReiH2022of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and sayוְאָ֣מַרְתָּ֔ve.'A.mar.taH559,Ye mountainsהָרֵי֙ha.ReiH2022of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,hearשִׁמְע֖וּshim.'UH8085the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068:

2Thus saithאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069;Because the enemyהָאוֹיֵ֛בha.'o.YevH341hath saidאָמַ֧ר'a.MarH559against you, Ahaהֶאָ֑חhe.'AchH1889,even the ancientעוֹלָ֔םo.LamH5769high placesוּבָמ֣וֹתu.va.MotH1116are ours in possessionלְמֽוֹרָשָׁ֖הle.mo.ra.ShahH4181:

3Therefore prophesyהִנָּבֵ֣אhi.na.Ve'H5012and sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֔ve.'a.mar.TaH559,Thus saithאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִ֑הYah.wehH3069; Because they have made youdesolateשַׁמּוֹת֩sha.mOtH8074,and swallowed you upוְשָׁאֹ֨ףve.sha.'OfH7602on every sideמִסָּבִ֗יבmi.sa.VivH5439,that ye might be a possessionמֽוֹרָשָׁה֙mo.ra.ShahH4181unto the residueלִשְׁאֵרִ֣יתlish.'e.RitH7611of the heathenהַגּוֹיִ֔םha.go.YimH1471,and ye are taken upוַתֵּֽעֲל֛וּva.te.'a.LuH5927in the lipsשְׂפַ֥תse.FatH8193of talkersלָשׁ֖וֹןla.ShonH3956, and arean infamyוְדִבַּת־ve.di.bat-H1681of the peopleעָֽם׃'AmH5971:

4Therefore, ye mountainsהָרֵ֣יha.ReiH2022of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,hearשִׁמְע֖וּshim.'UH8085the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִ֑הYah.wehH3069;Thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְ֠הוִהYah.wehH3069to the mountainsלֶהָרִ֨יםle.ha.RimH2022,and to the hillsוְלַגְּבָע֜וֹתve.la.ge.va.'otH1389,to the riversלָאֲפִיקִ֣יםla.'a.fi.KimH650,and to the valleysוְלַגֵּאָי֗וֹתve.la.ge.'a.YotH1516,to the desolateH8074wastesוְלֶחֳרָב֤וֹתve.le.cho.ra.VotH2723,and to the citiesוְלֶעָרִ֣יםve.le.'a.RimH5892that are forsakenהַנֶּעֱזָב֔וֹתha.ne.'e.za.VotH5800,which became a preyלְבַז֙le.VazH957and derisionוּלְלַ֔עַגu.le.La.'agH3933to the residueלִשְׁאֵרִ֥יתlish.'e.RitH7611of the heathenהַגּוֹיִ֖םha.go.YimH1471that areround aboutמִסָּבִֽיב׃ סmi.sa.VivH5439;

5Therefore thus saithאָמַר֮'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִה֒Yah.wehH3069;Surely in the fireבְּאֵ֨שׁbe.'EshH784of my jealousyקִנְאָתִ֥יkin.'a.TiH7068have I spokenדִבַּ֛רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696against the residueשְׁאֵרִ֥יתshe.'e.RitH7611of the heathenהַגּוֹיִ֖םha.go.YimH1471,and against all Idumeaאֱד֣וֹם'e.DomH123,which have appointedנָתְנֽוּ־na.te.nu-H5414my landאַרְצִ֣י׀'ar.TziH776into their possessionלְמ֨וֹרָשָׁ֜הle.Mo.ra.ShahH4181with the joyבְּשִׂמְחַ֤תbe.sim.ChatH8057of all theirheartלֵבָב֙le.VavH3824,with despitefulבִּשְׁאָ֣טbish.'AtH7589mindsנֶ֔פֶשׁNe.feshH5315,to cast it outמִגְרָשָׁ֖הּmig.ra.ShahH4054for a preyלָבַֽז׃la.VazH957.

6Prophesyהִנָּבֵ֖אhi.na.Ve'H5012therefore concerning the landאַדְמַ֣ת'ad.MatH127of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֡ve.'a.mar.TaH559unto the mountainsלֶהָרִ֣יםle.ha.RimH2022,and to the hillsוְ֠לַגְּבָעוֹתVe.la.ge.va.'otH1389,to the riversלָאֲפִיקִ֨יםla.'a.fi.KimH650,and to the valleysוְלַגֵּאָי֜וֹתve.la.ge.'a.YotH1516,Thus saithאָמַ֣ר׀'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִ֗הYah.wehH3069;Behold, I have spokenדִּבַּ֔רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696in my jealousyבְקִנְאָתִ֤יve.kin.'a.TiH7068and in my furyוּבַחֲמָתִי֙u.va.cha.ma.TiH2534,because ye have borneנְשָׂאתֶֽם׃ne.sa.TemH5375the shameכְּלִמַּ֥תke.li.MatH3639of the heathenגּוֹיִ֖םgo.YimH1471:

7Therefore thus saithאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069;I have lifted upנָשָׂ֣אתִיna.Sa.tiH5375mine handיָדִ֑יya.DiH3027,Surely the heathenהַגּוֹיִם֙ha.go.YimH1471that areaboutמִסָּבִ֔יבmi.sa.VivH5439you, they shall bearיִשָּֽׂאוּ׃yi.Sa.'uH5375their shameכְּלִמָּתָ֥םke.li.ma.TamH3639.

8But ye, O mountainsהָרֵ֤יha.ReiH2022of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478,ye shall shoot forthתִּתֵּ֔נוּti.Te.nuH5414your branchesעַנְפְּכֶ֣ם'an.pe.KhemH6057,and yieldתִּשְׂא֖וּtis.'UH5375your fruitוּפֶרְיְכֶ֥םu.fer.ye.KhemH6529to my peopleלְעַמִּ֣יle.'a.MiH5971of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478;for they are at handקֵרְב֖וּke.re.VuH7126to comeלָבֽוֹא׃la.Vo'H935.

9For, behold, I amfor you, and I will turnוּפָנִ֣יתִיu.fa.Ni.tiH6437unto you, and ye shall be tilledוְנֶעֱבַדְתֶּ֖םve.ne.'e.vad.TemH5647and sownוְנִזְרַעְתֶּֽם׃ve.niz.ra'.TemH2232:

10And I will multiplyוְהִרְבֵּיתִ֤יve.hir.bei.TiH7235menאָדָ֔ם'a.DamH120upon you, all the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478, evenall of it: and the citiesהֶֽעָרִ֔יםhe.'a.RimH5892shall be inhabitedוְנֹֽשְׁבוּ֙ve.no.she.VuH3427,and the wastesוְהֶחֳרָב֖וֹתve.he.cho.ra.VotH2723shall be buildedתִּבָּנֶֽינָה׃ti.ba.Nei.nahH1129:

11And I will multiplyוְהִרְבֵּיתִ֧יve.hir.bei.TiH7235upon you manאָדָ֥ם'a.DamH120and beastוּבְהֵמָ֖הu.ve.he.MahH929;and they shall increaseוְרָב֣וּve.ra.VuH7235and bring fruitוּפָר֑וּu.fa.RuH6509:and I will settleוְהוֹשַׁבְתִּ֨יve.ho.shav.TiH3427you after your old estatesכְּקַדְמֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗םke.kad.mo.tei.KhemH6927,and will do betterH2895unto youthan at your beginningsמֵרִאשֹׁ֣תֵיכֶ֔םme.ri.Sho.tei.KhemH7221:and ye shall knowוִֽידַעְתֶּ֖םvi.da'.TemH3045that I amthe Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

12Yea, I will cause menאָדָ֜ם'a.DamH120to walkH3212upon you, evenmy peopleעַמִּ֤י'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478;and they shall possessוִֽירֵשׁ֔וּךָvi.re.Shu.khaH3423thee, and thou shalt be their inheritanceלְנַחֲלָ֑הle.na.cha.LahH5159,and thou shalt no moreתוֹסִ֥ףto.SifH3254henceforth bereaveלְשַׁכְּלָֽם׃ סle.sha.ke.LamH7921them of men.

13Thus saithאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069;Because they sayאֹמְרִ֣ים'o.me.RimH559unto you, Thou landdevourest upאֹכֶ֥לֶת'o.Khe.letH398menאָדָ֖ם'a.DamH120,and hast bereavedוּמְשַׁכֶּ֥לֶתu.me.sha.Ke.letH7921thy nationsגּוֹיַ֖יִךְgo.yekhH1471;

14Therefore thou shalt devourתֹ֣אכְלִיTokh.liH398menאָדָם֙'a.DamH120no more, neither bereaveתְשַׁכְּלִיte.kha.she.li-H3782 H7921thy nationsוְגוֹיַ֖יִךְve.go.yekhH1471any more, saithנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִֽה׃Yah.wehH3069.

15Neither will I cause mento hearאַשְׁמִ֨יעַ'ash.Mi.a'H8085in thee the shameכְּלִמַּ֣תke.li.MatH3639of the heathenהַגּוֹיִ֔םha.go.YimH1471any more, neither shalt thou bearתִשְׂאִי־tis.'i-H5375the reproachוְחֶרְפַּ֥תve.cher.PatH2781of the peopleעַמִּ֖ים'a.MimH5971any more, neither shalt thou cause thy nationsוְגוֹיַ֙יִךְ֙ve.go.yekhH1471to fallתַכְשִׁ֣לִיtakh.Shi.liH3782any more, saithנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִֽה׃ סYah.wehH3069.

16Moreover the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068came unto me, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

17Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֗ם'a.DamH120,when the houseבֵּ֤יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478dweltיֹשְׁבִ֣יםyo.she.VimH3427in their own landאַדְמָתָ֔ם'ad.ma.TamH127,they defiledוַיְטַמְּא֣וּvay.ta.me.'UH2930it by their own wayבְּדַרְכָּ֖םbe.dar.KamH1870and by their doingsוּבַעֲלִֽילוֹתָ֑םu.va.'a.li.lo.TamH5949:their wayדַרְכָּ֖םdar.KamH1870was beforeלְפָנָֽי׃le.fa.NaiH6440me as the uncleannessכְּטֻמְאַת֙ke.tum.'AtH2932of a removed womanהַנִּדָּ֔הha.ni.DahH5079.

18Wherefore I pouredוָאֶשְׁפֹּ֤ךְva.'esh.PokhH8210my furyחֲמָתִי֙cha.ma.TiH2534upon them for the bloodהַדָּ֖םha.DamH1818that they had shedשָׁפְכ֣וּsha.fe.KhuH8210upon the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and for their idolsוּבְגִלּוּלֵיהֶ֖םu.ve.gi.lu.lei.HemH1544wherewiththey had pollutedטִמְּאֽוּהָ׃ti.me.'U.haH2930it:

19And I scatteredוָאָפִ֤יץva.'a.FitzH6327them among the heathenבַּגּוֹיִ֔םba.go.YimH1471,and they were dispersedוַיִּזָּר֖וּvai.yi.za.RuH2219through the countriesבָּאֲרָצ֑וֹתba.'a.ra.TzotH776:according to their wayכְּדַרְכָּ֥םke.dar.KamH1870and according to their doingsוְכַעֲלִילוֹתָ֖םve.kha.'a.li.lo.TamH5949I judgedשְׁפַטְתִּֽים׃she.fa.TimH8199them.

20And when they enteredוַיָּב֗וֹאvai.ya.Vo'H935unto the heathenהַגּוֹיִם֙ha.go.YimH1471,whither they wentבָּ֣אוּBa.'uH935,they profanedוַֽיְחַלְּל֖וּvay.cha.le.LuH2490my holyקָדְשִׁ֑יkod.shiH6944nameשֵׁ֣םshemH8034,when they saidבֶּאֱמֹ֤רbe.'e.MorH559to them, These arethe peopleעַם־'am-H5971of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068,and are gone forthיָצָֽאוּ׃ya.Tza.'uH3318out of his landוּמֵאַרְצ֖וֹu.me.'ar.TzoH776.

21But I had pityוָאֶחְמֹ֖לva.'ech.MolH2550for mine holyקָדְשִׁ֑יkod.shiH6944nameשֵׁ֣םshemH8034,which the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478had profanedחִלְּל֙וּהוּ֙chi.le.Lu.huH2490among the heathenבַּגּוֹיִ֖םba.go.YimH1471,whither they wentבָּ֥אוּBa.'uH935.

22Therefore sayאֱמֹ֣ר'e.MorH559unto the houseלְבֵֽית־le.veit-H1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,Thus saithאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069;I doעֹשֶׂ֖ה'o.SehH6213not thisfor your sakes, O houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,but for mine holyקָדְשִׁי֙kod.shiH6944name’sלְשֵׁם־le.shem-H8034sake, which ye have profanedחִלַּלְתֶּ֔םchi.lal.TemH2490among the heathenבַּגּוֹיִ֖םba.go.YimH1471,whither ye wentבָּ֥אתֶםBa.temH935.

23And I will sanctifyוְקִדַּשְׁתִּ֞יve.ki.dash.TiH6942my greatהַגָּד֗וֹלha.ga.DolH1419nameשְׁמִ֣יshe.MiH8034,which was profanedהַֽמְחֻלָּל֙ham.chu.LalH2490among the heathenבַּגּוֹיִ֔םba.go.YimH1471,which ye have profanedחִלַּלְתֶּ֖םchi.lal.TemH2490in the midstבְּתוֹכָ֑םbe.to.KhamH8432of them; and the heathenהַגּוֹיִ֜םha.go.YimH1471shall knowוְיָדְע֨וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that I amthe Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,saithנְאֻם֙ne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069,when I shall be sanctifiedבְּהִקָּדְשִׁ֥יbe.hi.ka.de.ShiH6942in you before their eyesלְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃le.'ei.nei.HemH5869.

24For I will takeוְלָקַחְתִּ֤יve.la.kach.TiH3947you from amongמִן־min-H4480the heathenהַגּוֹיִ֔םha.go.YimH1471,and gatherוְקִבַּצְתִּ֥יve.ki.batz.TiH6908you out of all countriesהָאֲרָצ֑וֹתha.'a.ra.TzotH776,and will bringוְהֵבֵאתִ֥יve.he.ve.TiH935you into your own landאַדְמַתְכֶֽם׃'ad.mat.KhemH127.

25Then will I sprinkleוְזָרַקְתִּ֧יve.za.rak.TiH2236cleanטְהוֹרִ֖יםte.ho.RimH2889waterמַ֥יִםMa.yimH4325upon you, and ye shall be cleanוּטְהַרְתֶּ֑םu.te.har.TemH2891:from all your filthinessטֻמְאוֹתֵיכֶ֛םtum.'o.tei.KhemH2932,and from all your idolsגִּלּ֥וּלֵיכֶ֖םgi.Lu.lei.KhemH1544,will I cleanseאֲטַהֵ֥ר'a.ta.HerH2891you.

26A newחָדָ֔שׁcha.DashH2319heartלֵ֣בlevH3820also will I giveוְנָתַתִּ֤יve.na.ta.TiH5414you, and a newחֲדָשָׁ֖הcha.da.ShahH2319spiritוְר֥וּחַve.Ru.achH7307will I putאֶתֵּ֣ן'e.TenH5414withinבְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑םbe.kir.be.KhemH7130you: and I will take awayוַהֲסִ֨רֹתִ֜יva.ha.Si.ro.TiH5493the stonyהָאֶ֙בֶן֙ha.'E.venH68heartלֵ֤בlevH3820out of your fleshמִבְּשַׂרְכֶ֔םmi.be.sar.KhemH1320,and I will giveוְנָתַתִּ֥יve.na.ta.TiH5414you an heartלֵ֥בlevH3820of fleshבָּשָֽׂר׃ba.SarH1320.

27And I will putאֶתֵּ֣ן'e.TenH5414my spiritרוּחִ֖יru.ChiH7307withinבְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑םbe.kir.be.KhemH7130you, and causeוְעָשִׂ֗יתִיve.'a.Si.tiH6213you to walkH3212in my statutesבְּחֻקַּי֙be.chu.KaiH2706,and ye shall keepתִּשְׁמְר֖וּtish.me.RuH8104my judgmentsוּמִשְׁפָּטַ֥יu.mish.pa.TaiH4941,and doוַעֲשִׂיתֶֽם׃va.'a.si.TemH6213them.

28And ye shall dwellוִישַׁבְתֶּ֣םvi.shav.TemH3427in the landבָּאָ֔רֶץba.'A.retzH776that I gaveנָתַ֖תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414to your fathersלַאֲבֹֽתֵיכֶ֑םla.'a.vo.tei.KhemH1;and ye shall be my peopleלְעָ֔םle.'AmH5971,and I will be your Godלֵאלֹהִֽים׃le.lo.HimH430.

29I will also saveוְהוֹשַׁעְתִּ֣יve.ho.sha'.TiH3467you from all your uncleannessesטֻמְאֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑םtum.'o.tei.KhemH2932:and I will callוְקָרָ֤אתִיve.ka.Ra.tiH7121for the cornהַדָּגָן֙ha.da.GanH1715,and will increaseוְהִרְבֵּיתִ֣יve.hir.bei.TiH7235it, and layאֶתֵּ֥ן'e.TenH5414no famineרָעָֽב׃ra.'AvH7458upon you.

30And I will multiplyוְהִרְבֵּיתִי֙ve.hir.bei.TiH7235the fruitפְּרִ֣יpe.RiH6529of the treeהָעֵ֔ץha.'EtzH6086,and the increaseוּתְנוּבַ֖תu.te.nu.VatH8570of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֑הha.sa.DehH7704,that ye shall receiveתִקְח֥וּtik.ChuH3947no more reproachחֶרְפַּ֥תcher.PatH2781of famineרָעָ֖בra.'AvH7458among the heathenבַּגּוֹיִֽם׃ba.go.YimH1471.

31Then shall ye rememberוּזְכַרְתֶּם֙u.ze.khar.TemH2142your own evilהָרָעִ֔יםha.ra.'ImH7451waysדַּרְכֵיכֶ֣םdar.khei.KhemH1870,and your doingsוּמַעַלְלֵיכֶ֖םu.ma.'a.lei.KhemH4611that werenot goodטוֹבִ֑יםto.VimH2896,and shall lotheוּנְקֹֽטֹתֶם֙u.ne.ko.to.TemH6962yourselves in your own sightבִּפְנֵיכֶ֔םbif.nei.KhemH6440for your iniquitiesעֲוֹנֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם'a.vo.No.tei.KhemH5771and for your abominationsתּוֹעֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃to.'a.Vo.tei.KhemH8441.

32Not for your sakes doעֹשֶׂ֗ה'o.SehH6213I this,saithנְאֻם֙ne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069,be it knownיִוָּדַ֖עyi.va.Da'H3045unto you: be ashamedבּ֧וֹשׁוּBo.o.shuH954and confoundedוְהִכָּלְמ֛וּve.hi.kal.MuH3637for your own waysמִדַּרְכֵיכֶ֖םmi.dar.khei.KhemH1870,O houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ סYis.ra.'ElH3478.

33Thus saithאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069;In the dayבְּיוֹם֙be.yOmH3117that I shall have cleansedטַהֲרִ֣יta.ha.RiH2891you from all your iniquitiesעֲוֹנֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑םa.vo.no.tei.KhemH5771I will also cause youto dwellוְהֽוֹשַׁבְתִּי֙ve.ho.shav.TiH3427in the citiesהֶ֣עָרִ֔יםhe.'a.RimH5892,and the wastesהֶחֳרָבֽוֹת׃he.cho.ra.VotH2723shall be buildedוְנִבְנ֖וּve.niv.NuH1129.

34And the desolateהַנְּשַׁמָּ֖הha.ne.sha.MahH8074landוְהָאָ֥רֶץve.ha.'A.retzH776shall be tilledתֵּֽעָבֵ֑דte.'a.VedH5647,whereas it lay desolateשְׁמָמָ֔הshe.ma.MahH8077in the sightלְעֵינֵ֖יle.'ei.NeiH5869of all that passed byעוֹבֵֽר׃o.VerH5674.

35And they shall sayוְאָמְר֗וּve.'a.me.RuH559,Thisהַלֵּ֙זוּ֙ha.Le.zuH1977landהָאָ֤רֶץha.'A.retzH776that was desolateהַנְּשַׁמָּ֔הha.ne.sha.MahH8074is become like the gardenכְּגַן־ke.gan-H1588of Edenעֵ֑דֶן'E.denH5731;and the wasteהֶחֳרֵב֛וֹתhe.cho.re.VotH2720and desolateוְהַֽנְשַׁמּ֥וֹתve.han.sha.MotH8074and ruinedוְהַנֶּהֱרָס֖וֹתve.ha.ne.he.ra.SotH2040citiesוְהֶעָרִ֧יםve.he.'a.RimH5892are becomefencedבְּצוּר֥וֹתbe.tzu.RotH1219, andare inhabitedיָשָֽׁבוּ׃ya.Sha.vuH3427.
