1So Josephיוֹסֵף֮yo.SefH3130wentוַיָּבֹ֣אvai.ya.Vo'H935and toldוַיַּגֵּ֣דvai.ya.GedH5046Pharaohלְפַרְעֹה֒ וַיֹּ֗אמֶרle.far.'Oh vai.Yo.merH6547 H559: “My fatherאָבִ֨י'a.ViH1and my brothersוְאַחַ֜יve.'a.ChaiH251,with their flocksוְצֹאנָ֤םve.tzo.NamH6629and herdsוּבְקָרָם֙u.ve.ka.RamH1241and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605they ownאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834,have comeבָּ֖אוּBa.'uH935from the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Canaanכְּנָ֑עַןke.Na.'anH3667and are nowוְהִנָּ֖םve.hi.NamH2005in Goshenבְּאֶ֥רֶץ גֹּֽשֶׁן׃be.'E.retz Go.shenH776 H1657.”

2וּמִקְצֵ֣הu.mik.TzehH7097And he choseלָקַ֖חla.KachH3947fiveחֲמִשָּׁ֣הcha.mi.ShahH2568ofאֲנָשִׁ֑ים'a.na.ShimH582his brothersאֶחָ֔יו'e.ChavH251and presented themוַיַּצִּגֵ֖םvai.ya.tzi.GemH3322beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440Pharaohפַרְעֹֽה׃far.'OhH6547.

3“Whatמַה־mah-H4100is your occupationמַּעֲשֵׂיכֶ֑םma.'a.sei.KhemH4639?”Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֛הpar.'OhH6547askedוַיֹּ֧אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559Joseph’sbrothersאֶחָ֖יו'e.ChavH251. “Your servantsעֲבָדֶ֔יךָ'a.va.Dei.khaH5650are shepherdsרֹעֵ֥ה צֹאן֙ro.'Eh tzoNH7462 H6629,”they repliedוַיֹּאמְר֣וּ פַּרְעֹ֗הvai.yo.me.Ru par.'OhH559 H413 H6547, “bothגַּם־gam-H1571weאֲנַ֖חְנוּ'a.Nach.nuH587andגַּם־gam-H1571our fathersאֲבוֹתֵֽינוּ׃'a.vo.Tei.nuH1.”

4Then they saidוַיֹּאמְר֣וּvai.yo.me.RuH559toאֶל־'el-H413Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֗הpar.'OhH6547, “We have comeבָּאנוּ֒ba.NuH935to live in the landבָּאָרֶץ֮ba.'a.RetzH776for a timeלָג֣וּרla.GurH1481,becauseכִּי־ki-H3588there is noאֵ֣ין'einH369pastureמִרְעֶ֗הmir.'EhH4829for the flocksלַצֹּאן֙la.tzoNH6629of your servantsלַעֲבָדֶ֔יךָla.'a.va.Dei.khaH5650אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834,sinceכִּֽי־ki-H3588the famineהָרָעָ֖בha.ra.'AvH7458in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Canaanכְּנָ֑עַןke.Na.'anH3667has been severeכָבֵ֥דkha.VedH3515.So nowוְעַתָּ֛הve.'a.TahH6258,pleaseנָ֥אna'H4994allow your servantsעֲבָדֶ֖יךָ'a.va.Dei.khaH5650to settleיֵֽשְׁבוּ־ye.she.vu-H3427in the landבְּאֶ֥רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Goshenגֹּֽשֶׁן׃Go.shenH1657.”
