6Now Josephוְיוֹסֵ֗ףve.yo.SefH3130wasה֚וּאhu'H1931the rulerהַשַּׁלִּ֣יטha.sha.LitH7989ofעַל־'al-H5921the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776; he was the onewhoה֥וּאhu'H1931sold grainהַמַּשְׁבִּ֖ירha.mash.BirH7666to allלְכָל־le.kholH3605itsהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776peopleעַ֣ם'amH5971.So whenיוֹסֵ֔ףyo.SefH3130hisbrothersאֲחֵ֣י'a.CheiH251arrivedוַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙vai.ya.Vo.'uH935,they bowed downוַיִּשְׁתַּֽחֲווּ־vai.yish.ta.cha.vu-H7812before himwith their facesאַפַּ֖יִם'a.Pa.yimH639to the groundאָֽרְצָה׃'A.re.tzahH776.

7And when Josephיוֹסֵ֛ףyo.SefH3130אֶת־'et-H853sawוַיַּ֥רְאvai.Yar'H7200his brothersאֶחָ֖יו'e.ChavH251,he recognized themוַיַּכִּרֵ֑םvai.ya.ki.RemH5234,but he treated them as strangersוַיִּתְנַכֵּ֨ר אֲלֵיהֶ֜םvai.yit.na.Ker 'a.lei.HemH5234 H413and spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֧רvay.da.BerH1696harshlyקָשׁ֗וֹתka.ShotH7186to themאִתָּ֣ם'i.TamH854. “Whereמֵאַ֣יִןme.'A.yinH370have you come fromבָּאתֶ֔םba.TemH935?”he askedוַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֲלֵהֶם֙vai.Yo.mer 'a.le.HemH559 H413. “From the landמֵאֶ֥רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Canaanכְּנַ֖עַןke.Na.'anH3667,”they repliedוַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּvai.Yo.me.RuH559. “We are hereto buyלִשְׁבָּר־lish.bor-H7666foodאֹֽכֶל׃'O.khelH400.”

9Josephיוֹסֵ֔ףyo.SefH3130אֵ֚ת'etH853rememberedוַיִּזְכֹּ֣רvai.yiz.KorH2142his dreamsהַחֲלֹמ֔וֹתha.cha.lo.MotH2472אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834חָלַ֖םcha.LamH2492about themand saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֲלֵהֶם֙vai.Yo.mer 'a.le.HemH559 H413, “Youאַתֶּ֔ם'a.TemH859are spiesמְרַגְּלִ֣יםme.ra.ge.LimH7270!You have comeבָּאתֶֽם׃ba.TemH935to seeלִרְא֛וֹתlir.'otH7200אֶת־'et-H853if our landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776isvulnerableעֶרְוַ֥ת'er.VatH6172.”

10“Not soלֹ֣אlo'H3808,my lordאֲדֹנִ֑י'a.do.NiH113,”they repliedוַיֹּאמְר֥וּ אֵלָ֖יוvai.yo.me.Ru 'e.LavH559 H413. “Your servantsוַעֲבָדֶ֥יךָva.'a.va.Dei.khaH5650have comeבָּ֖אוּBa.'uH935to buyלִשְׁבָּר־lish.bor-H7666foodאֹֽכֶל׃'O.khelH400.

11Weנָ֑חְנוּNa.che.nuH5168are allכֻּלָּ֕נוּku.La.nuH3605sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of oneאֶחָ֖ד'e.ChadH259manאִישׁ־'ish-H376.Your servantsאֲנַ֔חְנוּ עֲבָדֶ֖יךָ'a.Nach.nu 'a.va.Dei.khaH5650 H587areהָי֥וּha.YuH1961honestכֵּנִ֣יםke.NimH3651men,notלֹא־lo'-H3808spiesמְרַגְּלִֽים׃me.ra.ge.LimH7270.”

13But they answeredוַיֹּאמְר֗וּvai.yo.me.RuH559, “Your servantsעֲבָדֶ֨יךָ אֲנַ֛חְנוּ'a.va.Dei.kha 'a.Nach.nuH5650 H587are twelveשְׁנֵ֣ים עָשָׂר֩she.Neim 'a.SarH8147 H6240brothersאַחִ֧ים׀'a.ChimH251,the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of oneאֶחָ֖ד'e.ChadH259manאִישׁ־'ish-H376in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Canaanכְּנָ֑עַן וְהִנֵּ֨הke.Na.'an ve.hi.NehH3667 H2009.The youngestהַקָּטֹ֤ןha.ka.TonH6996is nowהַיּ֔וֹםhai.YomH3117withאֶת־'et-H854our fatherאָבִ֙ינוּ֙'a.Vi.nuH1,and oneוְהָאֶחָ֖דve.ha.'e.ChadH259is no moreאֵינֶֽנּוּ׃'ei.Ne.nuH369.”

14Then Josephיוֹסֵ֑ף ה֗וּאyo.Sef Hu'H3130 H1931אֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834declaredוַיֹּ֥אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֖םvai.Yo.mer 'a.le.HemH559 H413, “Just as I saidדִּבַּ֧רְתִּי אֲלֵכֶ֛ם לֵאמֹ֖רdi.Bar.ti 'a.le.Khem le.MorH1696 H413 H559,youאַתֶּֽם׃'a.TemH859are spiesמְרַגְּלִ֥יםme.ra.ge.LimH7270!
