25Now Jacobיַעֲקֹ֑בya.'a.KoH3290had pitchedתָּקַ֤עta.Ka'H8628אֶֽת־'et-H853his tentאָהֳלוֹ֙'o.ho.LoH168in the hill countryבָּהָ֔רba.HarH2022of Gileadהַגִּלְעָֽד׃ha.gil.'AdH1568when Labanלָבָ֖ןla.VanH3837אֶֽת־'et-H853overtookוַיַּשֵּׂ֥גvai.ya.SegH5381himוְיַעֲקֹ֗בve.ya.'a.KoH3290,and Labanוְלָבָ֛ןve.la.VanH3837and his relativesאֶחָ֖יו'e.ChavH251campedתָּקַ֥ע אֶת־ta.Ka' 'et-H8628 H854there as wellבְּהַ֥רbe.HarH2022.

26Then Labanלָבָן֙la.VanH3837saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Jacobלְיַעֲקֹ֔בle.ya.'a.KoH3290, “Whatמֶ֣הmehH4100have you doneעָשִׂ֔יתָ'a.Si.taH6213?You have deceivedוַתִּגְנֹ֖בva.tig.NoH1589meאֶת־ לְבָבִ֑י'et- le.va.ViH853 H3824and carried off my daughtersוַתְּנַהֵג֙ בְּנֹתַ֔יva.te.na.Heg be.no.TaiH1323 H5090אֶת־'et-H853like captivesכִּשְׁבֻי֖וֹתkish.vu.YotH7617of warחָֽרֶב׃Cha.revH2719!

27Whyלָ֤מָּהLa.mahH4100did you run awayלִבְרֹ֔חַliv.Ro.achH1272secretlyנַחְבֵּ֙אתָ֙nach.Be.taH2244and deceiveוַתִּגְנֹ֖בva.tig.NoH1589meאֹתִ֑י'o.TiH853,without evenוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808tellingהִגַּ֣דְתָּhi.Gad.taH5046me?I would have sent you awayוָֽאֲשַׁלֵּחֲךָ֛va.'a.sha.le.cha.KhaH7971with joyבְּשִׂמְחָ֥הbe.sim.ChahH8057and singingוּבְשִׁרִ֖יםu.ve.shi.RimH7892,with tambourinesבְּתֹ֥ףbe.TofH8596and harpsוּבְכִנּֽוֹר׃u.ve.khi.NorH3658.

28But you did notוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808even let meנְטַשְׁתַּ֔נִיne.tash.Ta.niH5203kissלְנַשֵּׁ֥קle.na.ShekH5401my grandchildrenלְבָנַ֖יle.va.NaiH1121and my daughters goodbyeוְלִבְנֹתָ֑יve.liv.no.TaiH1323.Nowעַתָּ֖ה'a.TahH6258you have doneעֲשֽׂוֹ׃a.SoH6213a foolish thingהִסְכַּ֥לְתָּֽhis.Kal.taH5528.

29יֶשׁ־yesh-H3426I have power to doלְאֵ֣ל יָדִ֔י לַעֲשׂ֥וֹתle.'El ya.Di la.'a.SotH6213 H410 H3027youעִמָּכֶ֖ם'i.ma.KhemH5973great harmרָ֑עRa'H7451,but last nightאֶ֣מֶשׁ׀'E.meshH570the Godוֵֽאלֹהֵ֨יve.lo.HeiH430of your fatherאֲבִיכֶ֜ם'a.vi.KhemH1saidאָמַ֧ר'a.MarH559to meאֵלַ֣י לֵאמֹ֗ר'e.Lai le.MorH413 H559, ‘Be carefulהִשָּׁ֧מֶרhi.Sha.merH8104not to sayמִדַּבֵּ֥רmi.da.BerH1696anything toעִֽם־'im-H5973Jacobיַעֲקֹ֖בya.'a.KoH3290,either goodמִטּ֥וֹבmi.TovH2896orעַד־'ad-H5704badרָֽע׃Ra'H7451.’

30Nowוְעַתָּה֙ve.'a.TahH6258you have gone offH1980becauseכִּֽי־ki-H3588you longH3700for your father’sאָבִ֑יךָ'a.Vi.khaH1houseלְבֵ֣יתle.VeitH1004.But whyלָ֥מָּהLa.mahH4100have you stolenגָנַ֖בְתָּga.Nav.taH1589אֶת־'et-H853my godsאֱלֹהָֽי׃'e.lo.HaiH430?”

31“I was afraidכִּ֣י יָרֵ֔אתִיki ya.Re.tiH3588 H3372,”Jacobיַעֲקֹ֖בya.'a.KoH3290answeredוַיַּ֥עַןvai.Ya.'anH6030, “forוַיֹּ֣אמֶר כִּ֣י פֶּן־vai.Yo.mer ki pen-H3588 H559 H6435I thoughtאָמַ֔רְתִּי'a.Mar.tiH559youלְלָבָ֑ןle.la.VanH3837would take your daughtersבְּנוֹתֶ֖יךָbe.no.Tei.khaH1323from meמֵעִמִּֽי׃me.'i.MiH5973by forceתִּגְזֹ֥לtig.ZolH1497אֶת־'et-H853.

32If you findתִּמְצָ֣אtim.Tza'H4672אֶת־'et-H853your godsאֱלֹהֶיךָ֮'e.lo.hei.KhaH430withעִ֠ם'imH5973anyone hereאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834,he shall notלֹ֣אlo'H3808liveיִֽחְיֶה֒yich.YehH2421!In the presence ofנֶ֣גֶדNe.gedH5048our relativesאַחֵ֧ינוּ'a.Chei.nuH251,seeהַֽכֶּר־ha.ker-H5234for yourselfif anythingמָ֥הmahH4100is yoursעִמָּדִ֖י'i.ma.DiH5978,and takeוְקַֽח־ve.kach-H3947it back.”For Jacobיַעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290did notוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808knowיָדַ֣עya.Da'H3045thatכִּ֥יkiH3588Rachelרָחֵ֖לra.ChelH7354had stolenגְּנָבָֽתַם׃ge.na.Va.tamH1589the idols.
