5But afterוַיְהִ֖יvay.HiH1961the deathכְּמ֣וֹתke.MotH4194of Ahabאַחְאָ֑ב'ach.'AvH256,the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Moabמוֹאָ֖בmo.'AvH4124rebelledוַיִּפְשַׁ֥עvai.yif.Sha'H6586against the kingבְּמֶ֥לֶךְbe.Me.lekhH4428of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

6So at thatהַה֖וּאha.Hu'H1931timeבַּיּ֥וֹםbai.YomH3117Kingהַמֶּ֧לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Jehoramיְהוֹרָ֛םye.ho.RamH3088set outוַיֵּצֵ֞אvai.ye.Tze'H3318from Samariaמִשֹּׁמְר֑וֹןmi.sho.me.RonH8111and mobilizedוַיִּפְקֹ֖דvai.yif.KodH6485אֶת־'et-H853allכָּל־kol-H3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

7And he sentוַיֵּ֡לֶךְ וַיִּשְׁלַח֩vai.Ye.lekh vai.yish.LachH1980 H7971a message toאֶל־'el-H413Jehoshaphatיְהוֹשָׁפָ֨טye.ho.sha.FatH3092kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֜הye.hu.DahH3063לֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559: “The kingמֶ֤לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Moabמוֹאָב֙mo.'AvH4124has rebelledפָּשַׁ֣עpa.Sha'H6586against me.Will you goהֲתֵלֵ֥ךְha.te.LekhH1980with meאִתִּ֛י'i.TiH854to fightלַמִּלְחָמָ֑הla.mil.cha.MahH4421againstאֶל־'el-H413Moabמוֹאָ֖בmo.'AvH4124?” “I will goאֶעֱלֶ֔ה'e.'e.LehH5927,”replied Jehoshaphatוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559. “Iכָּמ֧וֹנִיka.Mo.niH3644amas youכָמ֛וֹךָkha.Mo.khaH3644are,my peopleכְּעַמִּ֥יke.'a.MiH5971areyour peopleכְעַמֶּ֖ךָkhe.'a.Me.khaH5971,and my horsesכְּסוּסַ֥יke.su.SaiH5483areyour horsesכְּסוּסֶֽיךָ׃ke.su.Sei.khaH5483.”

8Then he askedוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Whichאֵי־'ei-H335זֶ֥הzehH2088wayהַדֶּ֖רֶךְha.De.rekhH1870shall we go upנַעֲלֶ֑הna.'a.LehH5927?” “By wayדֶּ֖רֶךְDe.rekhH1870of the Desertמִדְבַּ֥רmid.BarH4057of Edomאֱדֽוֹם׃'e.DomH123,”replied Joramוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559.
