3to tellוַיֹּאמְר֣וּvai.yo.me.RuH559himאֵלָ֗יו'e.LavH413, “This is whatכֹּ֚הkohH3541Hezekiahחִזְקִיָּ֔הוּchiz.ki.Ya.huH2396saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559:Todayיוֹם־ הַזֶּ֑הyom- ha.ZehH3117 H2088is a dayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117of distressצָרָ֧הtza.RahH6869,rebukeוְתוֹכֵחָ֛הve.to.khe.ChahH8433,and disgraceוּנְאָצָ֖הu.ne.'a.TzahH5007;forכִּ֣יkiH3588childrenבָנִים֙va.NimH1121have comeבָ֤אוּVa.'uH935to the point ofעַד־'ad-H5704birthמַשְׁבֵּ֔רmash.BerH4866,but there is noאַ֖יִן'A.yinH369strengthוְכֹ֥חַve.Kho.achH3581to deliver themלְלֵדָֽה׃le.le.DahH3205.

5So the servantsעַבְדֵ֛י'av.DeiH5650of Kingהַמֶּ֥לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Hezekiahחִזְקִיָּ֖הוּchiz.ki.Ya.huH2396wentוַיָּבֹ֗אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935toאֶל־'el-H413Isaiahיְשַֽׁעַיָֽהוּ׃ye.Sha.'a.Ya.huH3470,

6whoיְשַֽׁעְיָ֔הוּye.sha'.Ya.huH3470repliedוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Tellתֹאמְר֖וּן אֶל־tom.Run 'el-H559 H413your masterכֹּ֥ה אֲדֹֽנֵיכֶ֑םkoh 'a.do.nei.KhemH113 H3541that this is whatכֹּ֣ה׀kohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: ‘Do notאַל־'al-H408be afraidתִּירָא֙ti.Ra'H3372ofמִפְּנֵ֤יmi.pe.NeiH6440the wordsהַדְּבָרִים֙ha.de.va.RimH1697אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834you have heardשָׁמַ֗עְתָּsha.Ma'.taH8085,with whichאֲשֶׁ֧ר'a.SherH834the servantsנַעֲרֵ֥יna.'a.ReiH5288of the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֖וּר'a.ShurH804have blasphemedגִּדְּפ֛וּgi.de.FuH1442Meאֹתִֽי׃'o.TiH853.

7Beholdהִנְנִ֨יhi.NiH2005,I will putנֹתֵ֥ןno.TenH5414a spiritר֔וּחַRu.achH7307in himso that he will hearוְשָׁמַ֥עve.sha.Ma'H8085a rumorשְׁמוּעָ֖הshe.mu.'AhH8052and returnוְשָׁ֣בve.ShavH7725to his own landלְאַרְצ֑וֹle.'ar.TzoH776,whereבְּאַרְצֽוֹ׃be.'ar.TzoH776I will cause him to fallוְהִפַּלְתִּ֥יוve.hi.pal.TivH5307by the swordבַּחֶ֖רֶבba.Che.revH2719.’”

8Whenכִּ֣יkiH3588the RabshakehH7262heardשָׁמַ֔עsha.Ma'H8085thatכִּ֥יkiH3588the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֔וּר'a.ShurH804had leftנָסַ֖עna.Sa'H5265Lachishמִלָּכִֽישׁ׃mi.la.KhishH3923,he withdrewוַיָּ֙שָׁב֙vai.Ya.shovH7725and foundוַיִּמְצָא֙vai.yim.Tza'H4672אֶת־'et-H853the kingfightingנִלְחָ֖םnil.ChamH3898againstעַל־'al-H5921Libnahלִבְנָ֑הliv.NahH3841.

9Now Sennacherib had been warnedוַיִּשְׁמַ֗עvai.yish.Ma'H8085aboutאֶל־'el-H413Tirhakahתִּרְהָ֤קָהtir.Ha.kahH8640kingמֶֽלֶך־Me.lekh-H4428of Cushכּוּשׁ֙kushH3568לֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559: “Lookהִנֵּ֥הhi.NehH2009,he has set outיָצָ֖אya.Tza'H3318to fightלְהִלָּחֵ֣םle.hi.la.ChemH3898against youאִתָּ֑ךְ'i.TakhH854.”So Sennacherib againוַיָּ֙שָׁב֙vai.Ya.shovH7725sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֣חvai.yish.LachH7971messengersמַלְאָכִ֔יםmal.'a.KhimH4397toאֶל־'el-H413Hezekiahחִזְקִיָּ֖הוּchiz.ki.Ya.huH2396,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

10“Give this messageכֹּ֣ה תֹאמְר֗וּןkoh tom.RunH559 H3541toאֶל־'el-H413Hezekiahחִזְקִיָּ֤הוּchiz.ki.Ya.huH2396kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063לֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559: ‘Do notאַל־'al-H408let your Godאֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430,in whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834youאַתָּ֛ה'a.TahH859trustבֹּטֵ֥חַbo.Te.achH982,deceive youיַשִּׁאֲךָ֣ya.shi.'a.KhaH5377by sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559that Jerusalemיְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םye.Ru.sha.LimH3389will notלֹ֤אlo'H3808be deliveredתִנָּתֵן֙ti.na.TenH5414into the handבְּיַ֖דbe.YadH3027of the kingמֶ֥לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Assyriaאַשּֽׁוּר׃'a.ShurH804.

11Surelyהִנֵּ֣ה׀hi.NehH2009youאַתָּ֣ה'a.TahH859have heardשָׁמַ֗עְתָּsha.Ma'.taH8085אֵת֩'etH853whatאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834the kingsמַלְכֵ֥יmal.KheiH4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֛וּר'a.ShurH804have doneעָשׂ֜וּ'a.SuH6213to allלְכָל־le.kholH3605the othercountriesהָאֲרָצ֖וֹתha.'a.ra.TzotH776,devoting them to destructionלְהַֽחֲרִימָ֑םle.ha.cha.ri.MamH2763.Will you thenוְאַתָּ֖הve.'a.TahH859be sparedתִּנָּצֵֽל׃ti.na.TzelH5337?

12Did the godsאֱלֹהֵ֤י'e.lo.HeiH430of the nationsהַגּוֹיִם֙ha.go.YimH1471אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834destroyedשִׁחֲת֣וּshi.cha.TuH7843by my fathersאֲבוֹתַ֔י'a.vo.TaiH1אֹתָ֜ם'o.TamH853rescueהַהִצִּ֨ילוּha.hi.Tzi.luH5337those nations—the gods ofאֶת־'et-H853Gozanגּוֹזָ֖ןgo.ZanH1470וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853,Haranחָרָ֑ןcha.RanH2771,and Rezephוְרֶ֥צֶףve.Re.tzefH7530,and of the peopleוּבְנֵי־u.ve.nei-H1121of Edenעֶ֖דֶן'E.denH5729אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834in Telassarבִּתְלַאשָּֽׂר׃bit.la.SarH8515?

18They have castוְנָתְנ֥וּve.na.te.NuH5414אֶת־'et-H853their godsאֱלֹהֵיהֶ֖ם'e.lo.hei.HemH430into the fireבָּאֵ֑שׁba.'EshH784and destroyed themוַֽיְאַבְּדֽוּם׃Vay.'a.be.DumH6,forכִּי֩kiH3588theyהֵ֗מָּהHe.mahH1992were notלֹ֨אlo'H3808godsאֱלֹהִ֜ים'E.lo.HimH430,butכִּ֣יkiH3588onlyאִם־'im-H518woodעֵ֥ץ'etzH6086and stoneוָאֶ֖בֶןva.'E.venH68—the workמַעֲשֵׂ֧הma.'a.SehH4639of humanאָדָ֛ם'a.DamH120handsיְדֵֽי־ye.dei-H3027.
