Thereבְּבֵ֣ית יְהוָ֔הbe.Veit Yah.wehH1004 H3068he madeוַיִּכְרֹת֩vai.yikh.RotH3772a covenantבְּרִ֜יתbe.RitH1285with themand put them under oathוַיַּשְׁבַּ֤ע אֹתָם֙vai.yash.Ba' 'o.TamH7650 H854.He showedוַיַּ֥רְאvai.Yar'H7200themאֹתָ֖ם'o.TamH853אֶת־'et-H853the king’sהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428sonבֶּן־ben-H1121

7the twoוּשְׁתֵּ֤יu.she.TeiH8147divisionsהַיָּדוֹת֙hai.ya.dOtH3027כֹּ֖לkolH3605that would go off dutyיֹצְאֵ֣יyo.tze.'EiH3318on the Sabbathהַשַּׁבָּ֑תha.sha.BatH7676are to guardוְשָֽׁמְר֛וּve.sha.me.RuH8104אֶת־'et-H853מִשְׁמֶ֥רֶתmish.Me.retH4931the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068forאֶל־'el-H413the kingהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428.

8You must surroundוְהִקַּפְתֶּ֨ם עַל־ve.hi.kaf.Tem 'al-H5362 H5921the kingהַמֶּ֜לֶךְ סָבִ֗יבha.Me.lekh sa.VivH4428 H5439with weaponsוְכֵלָ֣יוve.khe.LavH3627in handבְּיָד֔וֹbe.ya.DoH3027,and anyoneאִ֚ישׁ'ishH376who approachesוְהַבָּ֥א אֶל־ve.ha.Ba' 'el-H935 H413the ranksהַשְּׂדֵר֖וֹתha.se.de.RotH7713must be put to deathיוּמָ֑תyu.MatH4191.You must stayוִהְי֥וּvih.YuH1961closeאֶת־'et-H854to the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428wherever he goesבְּצֵאת֥וֹ וּבְבֹאֽוֹ׃be.tze.To u.ve.vo.'OH3318 H935.”

10Then the priestהַכֹּהֵ֜ןha.ko.HenH3548gaveוַיִּתֵּ֨ןvai.yi.TenH5414to the commandersלְשָׂרֵ֣יle.sa.ReiH8269of hundredsהַמֵּא֗וֹתha.me.yotH3967אֶֽת־'et-H853the spearsהַחֲנִית֙ha.cha.NitH2595andוְאֶת־ve.'EtH853shieldsהַשְּׁלָטִ֔יםha.she.la.TimH7982of Kingלַמֶּ֣לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428Davidדָּוִ֑דda.VidH1732אֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834fromאֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834the houseבְּבֵ֥יתbe.VeitH1004of the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

11And the guardsהָרָצִ֜ים אִ֣ישׁ׀ha.ra.Tzim 'ishH7323 H376stoodוַיַּעַמְד֨וּvai.ya.'am.DuH5975with weaponsוְכֵלָ֣יוve.khe.LavH3627in handבְּיָד֗וֹbe.ya.DoH3027surroundingעַל־ סָבִֽיב׃'al- sa.VivH5921 H5439the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428by the altarלַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַla.miz.Be.achH4196and the templeהַבַּ֤יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,from the southהַיְמָנִית֙hay.ma.NitH3233sideמִכֶּ֨תֶףmi.Ke.tefH3802הַבַּ֙יִת֙ha.Ba.yitH1004toעַד־'ad-H5704the northהַשְּׂמָאלִ֔יתha.se.ma.LitH8042sideכֶּ֤תֶףKe.tefH3802of the templeוְלַבָּ֑יִתve.la.Ba.yitH1004.

12Then Jehoiada brought outוַיּוֹצִ֣אvai.yo.Tzi'H3318אֶת־'et-H853the king’sהַמֶּ֗לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428sonבֶּן־ben-H1121,putוַיִּתֵּ֤ןvai.yi.TenH5414the crownהַנֵּ֙זֶר֙ha.Ne.zerH5145אֶת־'et-H853on himעָלָיו֙'a.LavH5921וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853,presented him with the Testimonyהָ֣עֵד֔וּתha.'e.DutH5715,and proclaimed him kingוַיַּמְלִ֥כוּvai.yam.Li.khuH4427אֹת֖וֹ'o.ToH853.They anointed himוַיִּמְשָׁחֻ֑הוּvai.yim.sha.Chu.huH4886,and the people clappedוַיַּכּוּ־vai.ya.ku-H5221their handsכָ֔ףKhafH3709and declaredוַיֹּאמְר֖וּvai.yo.me.RuH559, “Long liveיְחִ֥יye.ChiH2421the kingהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ סha.Me.lekhH4428!”

13When Athaliahעֲתַלְיָ֔ה'a.tal.YahH6271אֶת־'et-H853heardוַתִּשְׁמַ֣עva.tish.Ma'H8085the noiseק֥וֹלKolH6963from the guardsהָֽרָצִ֖יןha.ra.TzinH7323andthe peopleהָעָ֑םha.'AmH5971,she went outוַתָּבֹ֥אva.ta.Vo'H935toאֶל־'el-H413the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971in the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

14And she looked outוַתֵּ֡רֶאva.Te.re'H7200and sawוְהִנֵּ֣הve.hi.NehH2009the kingהַמֶּלֶךְ֩ha.me.leKhH4428standingעֹמֵ֨ד'o.MedH5975byעַֽל־'al-H5921the pillarהָעַמּ֜וּדha.'a.MudH5982,according to the customכַּמִּשְׁפָּ֗טka.mish.PatH4941.The officersוְהַשָּׂרִ֤יםve.ha.sa.RimH8269and trumpetersוְהַחֲצֹֽצְרוֹת֙ve.ha.cha.tzo.tze.rOtH2689were besideאֶל־'el-H413the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the peopleעַ֤ם'amH5971of the landהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ha.'A.retzH776were rejoicingשָׂמֵ֔חַsa.Me.achH8056and blowingוְתֹקֵ֖עַve.to.Ke.a'H8628trumpetsבַּחֲצֹֽצְר֑וֹתba.cha.tzo.tze.RotH2689.Then Athaliahעֲתַלְיָה֙'a.tal.YahH6271אֶת־'et-H853toreוַתִּקְרַ֤עva.tik.Ra'H7167her clothesבְּגָדֶ֔יהָbe.ga.Dei.haH899and screamedוַתִּקְרָ֖אva.tik.Ra'H7121, “Treasonקֶ֥שֶׁרKe.sherH7195!Treasonקָֽשֶׁר׃ סKa.sherH7195!”

15And Jehoiadaיְהוֹיָדָ֨עye.ho.ya.Da'H3077the priestהַכֹּהֵ֜ןha.ko.HenH3548אֶת־'et-H853orderedוַיְצַו֩vay.TzavH6680the commandersשָׂרֵ֥יsa.ReiH8269of hundredsהַמֵּא֣וֹתha.mei.'otH3967in charge ofפְּקֻדֵ֣יpe.ku.DeiH6485the armyהַחַ֗יִלha.Cha.yilH2428וַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559אֲלֵיהֶם֙'a.lei.HemH413, “Bring her outהוֹצִ֤יאוּho.Tzi.'uH3318אֹתָהּ֙'o.TahH853אֶל־'el-H413מִבֵּ֣יתmi.BeitH1004between the ranksלַשְּׂדֵרֹ֔תla.se.de.RotH7713,and put toהָמֵ֣תha.MetH4191the swordבֶּחָ֑רֶבbe.Cha.revH2719anyone who followsוְהַבָּ֥אve.ha.Ba'H935herאַחֲרֶ֖יהָ'a.cha.Rei.haH310.”Forכִּ֚יkiH3588the priestהַכֹּהֵ֔ןha.ko.HenH3548had saidאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559, “She must notאַל־'al-H408be put to deathתּוּמַ֖תtu.MatH4191in the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.”
