1These were the sonsוּבְנֵ֨יu.ve.NeiH1121of Reubenרְאוּבֵ֥ןre.'u.VenH7205the firstbornבְּכֽוֹר־be.khor-H1060of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֮ כִּ֣יYis.ra.'El kiH3478 H3588.Though heה֣וּאhu'H1931was the firstbornהַבְּכוֹר֒ha.be.khOrH1060,his birthrightבְּכֹ֣רָת֔וֹbe.Kho.ra.ToH1062was givenנִתְּנָה֙ni.te.NahH5414to the sonsלִבְנֵ֥יliv.NeiH1121of Josephיוֹסֵ֖ףyo.SefH3130sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,because Reuben defiledוּֽבְחַלְּלוֹ֙u.ve.cha.le.LoH2490his father’sאָבִ֔יו'a.VivH1bedיְצוּעֵ֣יye.tzu.'EiH3326.So he is notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808reckonedלְהִתְיַחֵ֖שׂle.hit.ya.ChesH3187according to birthrightלַבְּכֹרָֽה׃la.be.kho.RahH1062.

2And thoughכִּ֤יkiH3588Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063prevailedגָּבַ֣רga.VarH1396over his brothersבְּאֶחָ֔יוbe.'e.ChavH251and a rulerוּלְנָגִ֖ידu.le.na.GidH5057came from himמִמֶּ֑נּוּmi.Me.nuH4480,the birthrightוְהַבְּכֹרָ֖הve.ha.be.kho.RahH1062belonged to Josephלְיוֹסֵֽף׃ סle.yo.SefH3130.

3The sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Reubenרְאוּבֵ֖ןre.'u.VenH7205,the firstbornבְּכ֣וֹרbe.KhorH1060of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478:Hanochחֲנ֥וֹךְcha.NokhH2585,Palluוּפַלּ֖וּאu.fa.Lu'H6396,Hezronחֶצְר֥וֹןchetz.RonH2696,and Carmiוְכַרְמִֽי׃ve.khar.MiH3756.
