1Now the sonsוּבְנֵ֨יu.ve.NeiH1121of Reubenרְאוּבֵ֥ןre.'u.VenH7205the firstbornבְּכֽוֹר־be.khor-H1060of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֮Yis.ra.'ElH3478, (for he wasthe firstbornהַבְּכוֹר֒ha.be.khOrH1060;but, forasmuch as he defiledוּֽבְחַלְּלוֹ֙u.ve.cha.le.LoH2490his father’sאָבִ֔יו'a.VivH1bedיְצוּעֵ֣יye.tzu.'EiH3326,his birthrightבְּכֹ֣רָת֔וֹbe.Kho.ra.ToH1062was givenנִתְּנָה֙ni.te.NahH5414unto the sonsלִבְנֵ֥יliv.NeiH1121of Josephיוֹסֵ֖ףyo.SefH3130the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478:and the genealogy is not to be reckonedלְהִתְיַחֵ֖שׂle.hit.ya.ChesH3187after the birthrightלַבְּכֹרָֽה׃la.be.kho.RahH1062.

2For Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063prevailedגָּבַ֣רga.VarH1396above his brethrenבְּאֶחָ֔יוbe.'e.ChavH251, and of him camethe chief rulerוּלְנָגִ֖ידu.le.na.GidH5057;but the birthrightוְהַבְּכֹרָ֖הve.ha.be.kho.RahH1062wasJoseph’sלְיוֹסֵֽף׃ סle.yo.SefH3130:)
