2Thenאָ֚ז'azH227Davidדָּוִ֔ידda.VidH1732saidאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559, “Noלֹ֤אlo'H3808one butכִּ֖י אִם־ki 'im-H3588 H518the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֑םhal.vi.YimH3881may carryלָשֵׂאת֙la.seTH5375אֶת־'et-H853the arkאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727of Godהָֽאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430,becauseכִּי־ki-H3588the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068has chosen themבָּחַ֣רba.CharH977to carryלָשֵׂ֞אתla.SetH5375אֶת־'et-H853the arkאֲר֧וֹן'a.RonH727of the LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068and to ministerוּֽלְשָׁרְת֖וֹu.le.sha.re.ToH8334before Himעַד־'ad-H5704foreverעוֹלָֽם׃ סo.LamH5769.”

3And Davidדָּוִ֛ידda.VidH1732אֶת־'et-H853assembledוַיַּקְהֵ֥לvai.yak.HelH6950allכָּל־kol-H3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478inאֶל־'el-H413Jerusalemיְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑םye.ru.sha.LimH3389to bring upלְהַעֲלוֹת֙le.ha.'a.lOtH5927אֶת־'et-H853the arkאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727of the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068toאֶל־'el-H413the placeמְקוֹמ֖וֹme.ko.MoH4725אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834he had preparedהֵכִ֥יןhe.KhinH3559for it.

4Then heדָּוִ֛ידda.VidH1732אֶת־'et-H853gathered togetherוַיֶּאֱסֹ֥ףvai.ye.'e.SofH622the descendantsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Aaronאַֽהֲרֹ֖ן'a.ha.RonH175וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853and the Levitesהַלְוִיִּֽם׃hal.vi.YimH3881:

12And he saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to them, “Youאַתֶּ֛ם'a.TemH859are the headsרָאשֵׁ֥יra.SheiH7218of the Leviticalלַלְוִיִּ֑םlal.vi.YimH3881familiesהָאָב֖וֹתha.'a.VotH1.Youאַתֶּ֣ם'a.TemH859and your relativesוַאֲחֵיכֶ֔םva.'a.chei.KhemH251must consecrate yourselvesהִֽתְקַדְּשׁוּ֙hit.ka.de.ShuH6942so that you may bringוְהַֽעֲלִיתֶ֗םve.ha.'a.li.TemH5927אֵ֣ת'etH853the arkאֲר֤וֹן'a.RonH727of the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,toאֶל־'el-H413the placeI have preparedהֲכִינ֖וֹתִיha.khi.No.tiH3559for it.

13It was becauseכִּ֛יkiH3588you Levitesאַתֶּ֑ם'a.TemH859were not with usלֹ֣אlo'H3808the first timeלְמַבָּרִ֥אשׁוֹנָ֖הle.ma.ba.Ri.sho.NahH4100that the LORDיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068our Godאֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙'e.lo.Hei.nuH430burst forth in angerפָּרַ֨ץpa.RatzH6555against us.Forכִּי־ki-H3588we did notלֹ֥אlo'H3808consult Himדְרַשְׁנֻ֖הוּde.rash.Nu.huH1875about the proper orderכַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃ka.mish.PatH4941.”

14So the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֖יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548and Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּ֑םve.hal.vi.YimH3881consecrated themselvesוַיִּֽתְקַדְּשׁ֔וּvai.yit.ka.de.ShuH6942to bring upלְהַעֲל֕וֹתle.ha.'a.LotH5927אֶת־'et-H853the arkאֲר֥וֹן'a.RonH727of the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

15And the Levitesבְנֵֽי־ הַלְוִיִּ֗םve.nei- hal.vi.YimH1121 H3881אֵ֚ת'etH853carriedוַיִּשְׂא֣וּvai.yis.'UH5375the arkאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727of Godהָֽאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430on their shouldersבִּכְתֵפָ֥םbikh.te.FamH3802with the polesבַּמֹּט֖וֹת עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ פba.mo.Tot 'a.lei.HemH4133 H5921,asכַּאֲשֶׁ֛רka.'a.SherH834Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872had commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680in accordance with the wordכִּדְבַ֣רkid.VarH1697of the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068.
