Read 1 Chronicles 15 in the Bible1 Chronicles 15:1-3
The first attempt to bring the ark to Jerusalem (1 Chronicles 13:1–14) failed due to improper procedure (see 15:13). This time, David prepared a place for the ark in Jerusalem and organized the Levites to carry it, as this was their responsibility (Deuteronomy 10:8; 18:5). The special tent David prepared for the ark was not the tabernacle, which was located at Gibeon at that time (see 1 Chronicles 16:39; 21:29).

This is the first of three lists of Levitical musicians (see 1 Chronicles 15:19–22; 16:4–6). This list provides the names of the three leaders (Heman, Asaph, and Ethan; see 1 Chronicles 6:33–47) along with their assistants.

The second list of Levitical musicians highlighted their musical skills instead of their rank.

harps according to Alamoth: Alamoth is likely a melody sung in a soprano range. The word may be related to the Hebrew word ‘almah,’ which means “young woman.”
1 Chronicles 15:21
lyres according to the Sheminith: Sheminith might relate to a term meaning “octave,” suggesting a lower vocal range.
1 Chronicles 15:29
Michal's contempt for David (compare 2 Samuel 6:16–23) contrasts with God's blessing on the celebration (1 Chronicles 15:26). Her description as Saul's daughter suggests her attitude reflected her father's disregard for the Lord (see 1 Samuel 10:10–12; 13:7–14; 15:10–23; 28:1–25).
