1 Kings 20:13-25
13And, behold, a prophetH5030 came near unto AhabH256 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, and saidH559, ThusH3541 saith Jehovah, Hast thou seenH7200 all this greatH1419 multitudeH1995? behold, I will deliver it into thy handH3027 this dayH3117; and thou shalt knowH3045 that I am Jehovah. 14And AhabH256 saidH559, By whom? And he saidH559, ThusH3541 saith Jehovah, By the youngH5288 menH5288 of the princesH8269 of the provincesH4082. Then he saidH559, Who shall begin the battleH4421? And he answered, Thou. 15Then he musteredH6485 the youngH5288 menH5288 of the princesH8269 of the provincesH4082, and they wereH1961 twoH8147 hundredH3967 and thirty-two: and after them he musteredH6485 all the peopleH5971, even all the children of IsraelH3478, being sevenH7651 thousandH505.
16And they wentH3318 out at noonH6672. But Ben-hadadH1130 was drinkingH8354 himself drunkH8354 in the pavilions, he and the kingsH4428, the thirtyH7970 and twoH8147 kingsH4428 that helpedH5826 him. 17And the youngH5288 menH376 of the princesH8269 of the provincesH4082 wentH3318 out firstH7223; and Ben-hadadH1130 sentH7971 out, and they toldH5046 him, sayingH559, There are menH376 comeH3318 out from SamariaH8111. 18And he saidH559, Whether they are comeH3318 out for peaceH7965, take them aliveH2416; or whether they are comeH3318 out for warH4421, take them aliveH2416. 19So these wentH3318 out of the cityH5892, the youngH5288 menH5288 of the princesH8269 of the provincesH4082, and the armyH2428 which followed them. 20And they slew every oneH376 his manH376; and the Syrians fledH5127, and IsraelH3478 pursuedH7291 them: and Ben-hadadH1130 the kingH4428 of Syria escapedH4422 on a horseH5483 with horsemenH6571. 21And the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 wentH3318 out, and smote the horsesH5483 and chariotsH7393, and slew the Syrians with a greatH1419 slaughterH4347.
22And the prophetH5030 cameH5927 near to the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, and saidH559 unto him, GoH5927, strengthenH2388 thyself, and mark, and seeH7200 what thou doest; for at the returnH8666 of the yearH8141 the kingH4428 of Syria will comeH5927 up against thee. 23And the servantsH5650 of the kingH4428 of Syria saidH559 unto him, Their godH430 is a godH430 of the hillsH2022; thereforeH3651 they were strongerH2388 than we: but let us fightH3898 against them in the plainH4334, and surely we shall be strongerH2388 than they. 24And do this thingH1697: take the kingsH4428 awayH5493, every manH376 out of his placeH4725, and putH7760 captains in their roomH4725; 25and numberH4487 thee an armyH2428, like the armyH2428 that thou hast lost, horseH5483 for horseH5483, and chariotH7393 for chariotH7393; and we will fightH3898 against them in the plainH4334, and surely we shall be strongerH2388 than they. And he hearkened unto their voiceH6963, and did soH3651.
