1Now DavidH1732 was old and full of daysH3117; and he made SolomonH8010 his sonH1121 kingH4427 over IsraelH3478. 2And he gatheredH622 together all the princesH8269 of IsraelH3478, with the priestsH3548 and the LevitesH3881. 3And the LevitesH3881 wereH1961 numbered from thirtyH7970 yearsH8141 old and upwardH4605: and their numberH4557 by their polls, manH1397 by manH1397, wasH1961 thirtyH7970 and eightH8083 thousandH505. 4Of these, twentyH6242 and fourH702 thousandH505 were to oversee the workH4399 of the houseH1004 of Jehovah; and sixH8337 thousandH505 were officersH7860 and judgesH8199; 5and fourH702 thousandH505 were doorkeepers; and fourH702 thousandH505 praisedH1984 Jehovah with the instrumentsH3627 which I madeH6213, said David, to praiseH1984 therewith. 6And DavidH1732 dividedH2505 them into courses according to the sonsH1121 of LeviH3878: Gershon, KohathH6955, and MerariH4847.

7Of the Gershonites: LadanH3936 and ShimeiH8096. 8The sonsH1121 of LadanH3936: JehielH3171 the chiefH7218, and ZethamH2241, and JoelH3100, threeH7969. 9The sonsH1121 of ShimeiH8096: ShelomothH8013, and Haziel, and HaranH2039, threeH7969. These were the headsH7218 of the fathers’H1housesof LadanH3936. 10And the sonsH1121 of ShimeiH8096: JahathH3189, Zina, and JeushH3266, and BeriahH1283. These fourH702 were the sonsH1121 of ShimeiH8096. 11And JahathH3189 wasH1961 the chiefH7218, and Zizah the secondH8145: but JeushH3266 and BeriahH1283 had not manyH7235 sonsH1121; therefore they becameH1961 a fathers’H1 houseH1004 in oneH259 reckoning.

12The sonsH1121 of KohathH6955: AmramH6019, IzharH3324, HebronH2275, and UzzielH5816, fourH702. 13The sonsH1121 of AmramH6019: AaronH175 and MosesH4872; and AaronH175 was separatedH914, that he should sanctifyH6942 the most holyH6944 thingsH6944, he and his sonsH1121, for everH5769, to burn incenseH6999 before Jehovah, to minister unto him, and to blessH1288 in his nameH8034, for everH5769. 14But as for MosesH4872 the manH376 of GodH430, his sonsH1121 were named among the tribeH7626 of LeviH3878. 15The sonsH1121 of MosesH4872: GershomH1647 and EliezerH461. 16The sonsH1121 of GershomH1647: ShebuelH7619 the chiefH7218. 17And the sonsH1121 of EliezerH461 wereH1961: RehabiahH7345 the chiefH7218; and EliezerH461 had no otherH312 sonsH1121; but the sonsH1121 of RehabiahH7345 wereH1961 very manyH7235. 18The sonsH1121 of IzharH3324: ShelomithH8019 the chiefH7218. 19The sonsH1121 of HebronH2275: JeriahH3404 the chiefH7218, AmariahH568 the secondH8145, JahazielH3166 the thirdH7992, and JekameamH3360 the fourthH7243. 20The sonsH1121 of UzzielH5816: MicahH4318 the chiefH7218, and IsshiahH3449 the secondH8145.
