1 Chronicles 14
American Standard Version
1And HiramH2438 kingH4428 of TyreH6865 sentH7971 messengersH4397 to DavidH1732, and cedar-trees, and masons, and carpenters, to buildH1129 him a houseH1004. 2And DavidH1732 perceived that Jehovah had establishedH3559 him kingH4428 over IsraelH3478; for his kingdomH4438 was exalted on high, for his peopleH5971 Israel’s sakeH5668.
3And DavidH1732 tookH3947 more wivesH802 at JerusalemH3389; and DavidH1732 begat more sonsH1121 and daughtersH1323. 4And these are the namesH8034 of the childrenH3205 whom he had in JerusalemH3389: ShammuaH8051, and ShobabH7727, NathanH5416, and SolomonH8010, 5and IbharH2984, and ElishuaH474, and Elpelet, 6and NogahH5052, and NephegH5298, and JaphiaH3309, 7and ElishamaH476, and Beeliada, and ElipheletH467.
8And when the PhilistinesH6430 heardH8085 that DavidH1732 was anointedH4886 kingH4428 over all IsraelH3478, all the PhilistinesH6430 wentH3318 up to seekH1245 DavidH1732: and DavidH1732 heardH8085 of it, and wentH3318 out against them. 9Now the PhilistinesH6430 had comeH935 and madeH6584 a raidH6584 in the valleyH6010 of RephaimH7497. 10And DavidH1732 inquired of GodH430, sayingH559, Shall I goH5927 up against the PhilistinesH6430? and wilt thou deliver them into my handH3027? And Jehovah saidH559 unto him, GoH5927 up; for I will deliver them into thy handH3027. 11So they cameH5927 up to Baal-perazimH1188, and DavidH1732 smote them there; and DavidH1732 saidH559, GodH430 hath brokenH6555 mine enemiesH341 by my handH3027, like the breachH6556 of watersH4325. ThereforeH3651 they calledH7121 the nameH8034 of that placeH4725 Baal-perazimH1188. 12And they leftH5800 their godsH430 there; and DavidH1732 gave commandment, and they were burnedH8313 with fireH784.
13And the PhilistinesH6430 yetH5750 againH5750 madeH6584 a raidH6584 in the valleyH6010. 14And DavidH1732 inquired againH5750 of GodH430; and GodH430 saidH559 unto him, Thou shalt not goH935 up after them: turnH5437 away from them, and comeH935 upon them over against the mulberry-trees. 15And it shall beH1961, when thou hearest the soundH6963 of marching in the topsH7218 of the mulberry-trees, that thenH227 thou shalt goH3318 out to battleH4421; for GodH430 is goneH3318 out before thee to smite the host of the PhilistinesH6430. 16And DavidH1732 did as GodH430 commandedH6680 him: and they smote the host of the PhilistinesH6430 from GibeonH1391 even to GezerH1507. 17And the fame of DavidH1732 wentH3318 out into all landsH776; and Jehovah broughtH3318 the fearH6343 of him upon all nationsH1471.
