10Speakדַּבֵּר֙da.BerH1696to thechildrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478, andsayוְאָמַרְתָּ֖ve.'a.mar.TaH559to them, When ye have passedoverעֹבְרִ֥ים'oe.RimH5674Jordanהַיַּרְדֵּ֖ןhai.yar.DenH3383into thelandאַ֥רְצָה'Ar.tzahH776ofCanaanכְּנָֽעַן׃ke.Na.'anH3667;

15Thesesixשֵׁשׁ־shesh-H8337citiesהֶעָרִ֥יםhe.'a.RimH5892shall be arefugeלְמִקְלָ֑טle.mik.LatH4733, both for thechildrenלִבְנֵ֣יliv.NeiH1121ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478, and for thestrangerוְלַגֵּ֤רve.la.GerH1616, and for thesojournerוְלַתּוֹשָׁב֙ve.la.to.ShavH8453amongבְּתוֹכָ֔םbe.to.KhamH8432them: that every one thatkillethמַכֵּה־ma.keh-H5221anypersonנֶ֖פֶשׁNe.feshH5315unintentionallyבִּשְׁגָגָֽה׃bish.ga.GahH7684mayfleeלָנ֣וּסla.NusH5127there.

16And if he shallsmiteהִכָּ֛הוּhi.Ka.huH5221him with aninstrumentבִּכְלִ֨יbikh.LiH3627ofironבַרְזֶ֧ל׀var.ZelH1270, so that he shalldieוַיָּמֹ֖תvai.ya.MotH4191, he is amurdererרֹצֵ֣חַֽro.Tze.achH7523: themurdererהָרֹצֵֽחַ׃ha.ro.Tze.achH7523shallsurelyמ֥וֹתMotH4191be put todeathיוּמַ֖תyu.MatH4191.

17And if he shallsmiteהִכָּ֛הוּhi.Ka.huH5221him bythrowingיָד֩yadH3027astoneבְּאֶ֣בֶןbe.'E.venH68, by which he maydieיָמ֨וּתya.MutH4191, and he shalldieוַיָּמֹ֖תvai.ya.MotH4191, he is amurdererרֹצֵ֣חַֽro.Tze.achH7523: themurdererהָרֹצֵֽחַ׃ha.ro.Tze.achH7523shallsurelyמ֥וֹתMotH4191be put todeathיוּמַ֖תyu.MatH4191.

19Theavengerגֹּאֵ֣לgo.'ElH1350ofbloodהַדָּ֔םha.DamH1818himself shallslayיָמִ֖יתya.MitH4191themurdererהָרֹצֵ֑חַha.ro.Tze.achH7523: when hemeetethבְּפִגְעוֹ־be.fig.'ov-H6293him,heH1931shallslayיְמִיתֶֽנּוּ׃ye.mi.Te.nuH4191him.

20But if he shallthrustיֶהְדָּפֶ֑נּוּyeh.da.Fe.nuH1920him ofhatredבְּשִׂנְאָ֖הbe.sin.'AhH8135, orhurlהִשְׁלִ֥יךְhish.LikhH7993at him by laying inwaitבִּצְדִיָּ֖הbitz.di.YahH6660, that hedieוַיָּמֹֽת׃vai.ya.MotH4191;

21Or inenmityבְאֵיבָ֞הve.'ei.VahH342shallsmiteהִכָּ֤הוּhi.Ka.huH5221him with hishandבְיָדוֹ֙ve.ya.DoH3027, that hedieוַיָּמֹ֔תvai.ya.MotH4191: he thatsmoteהַמַּכֶּ֖הha.ma.KehH5221him shallsurelyמֽוֹת־mot-H4191be put todeathיוּמַ֥תyu.MatH4191; for he is amurdererרֹצֵ֣חַֽro.Tze.achH7523: theavengerגֹּאֵ֣לgo.'ElH1350ofbloodהַדָּ֗םha.DamH1818shallslayיָמִ֛יתya.MitH4191themurdererהָרֹצֵ֖חַha.ro.Tze.achH7523, when hemeetethבְּפִגְעוֹ־be.fig.'ov-H6293him.

23Or with anystoneאֶ֜בֶן'E.venH68, by which a man maydieיָמ֥וּתya.MutH4191,seeingרְא֔וֹתre.'otH7200himnotH3808, and shallcastוַיַּפֵּ֥לvai.ya.PelH5307it upon him, that hedieוַיָּמֹ֑תvai.ya.MotH4191, and was not hisenemyאוֹיֵ֣ב'o.YevH341, neithersoughtמְבַקֵּ֖שׁme.va.KeshH1245hisharmרָעָתֽוֹ׃ra.'a.ToH7451:

26But if theslayerהָרֹצֵ֑חַha.ro.Tze.achH7523shall at anytimeיָצֹ֥אya.Tzo'H3318comeיֵצֵ֖אye.Tze'H3318outside theborderגְּבוּל֙ge.VulH1366of thecityעִ֣יר'irH5892of hisrefugeמִקְלָט֔וֹmik.la.ToH4733, where he hadfledיָנ֖וּסya.NusH5127;

27And theavengerגֹּאֵ֣לgo.'ElH1350ofbloodהַדָּ֔םha.DamH1818findוּמָצָ֤אu.ma.Tza'H4672himoutsideמִח֕וּץmi.ChutzH2351thebordersלִגְב֖וּלlig.VulH1366of thecityעִ֣יר'irH5892of hisrefugeמִקְלָט֑וֹmik.la.ToH4733, and theavengerגֹּאֵ֤לgo.'ElH1350ofbloodהַדָּם֙ha.DamH1818shallkillוְרָצַ֞חve.ra.TzachH7523theslayerהָ֣רֹצֵ֔חַha.ro.Tze.achH7523; he shall not be guilty ofbloodדָּֽם׃DamH1818:

30Whoeverkillethמַ֨כֵּה־Ma.keh-H5221anypersonנֶ֔פֶשׁNe.feshH5315, themurdererיִרְצַ֖חyir.TzachH7523shall be put todeathהָרֹצֵ֑חַha.ro.Tze.achH7523by themouthלְפִ֣יle.FiH6310ofwitnessesעֵדִ֔ים'e.DimH5707: butoneאֶחָ֔ד'e.ChadH259witnessוְעֵ֣דve.'EdH5707shall nottestifyיַעֲנֶ֥הya.'a.NehH6030against anypersonבְנֶ֖פֶשׁve.Ne.feshH5315to cause him todieלָמֽוּת׃la.MutH4191.
