And hesaidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, As theLORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068liveth, and as thysoulנַפְשְׁךָ֖naf.she.KhaH5315liveth, I willnotאִם־'im-H518leaveאֶעֶזְבֶ֑ךָּ'e.'ez.Ve.kaH5800thee. And theytwoשְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃she.nei.HemH8147went on.

7Andfiftyוַחֲמִשִּׁ֨יםva.cha.mi.ShimH2572menאִ֜ישׁ'ishH376of thesonsמִבְּנֵ֤יmi.be.NeiH1121of theprophetsהַנְּבִיאִים֙ha.ne.vi.'ImH5030wentהָֽלְכ֔וּha.le.KhuH1980, andstoodוַיַּעַמְד֥וּvai.ya.'am.DuH5975overagainstH5921themafarמֵרָח֑וֹקme.ra.ChokH7350offH5921: and theytwoוּשְׁנֵיהֶ֖םu.she.nei.HemH8147stoodעָמְד֥וּ'a.me.DuH5975byJordanהַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃hai.yar.DenH3383.

8AndElijahאֵלִיָּ֨הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452tookH3947hismantleאַדַּרְתּ֤וֹ'a.dar.ToH155, and wrapped ittogetherוַיִּגְלֹם֙vai.yig.LomH1563, andsmoteוַיַּכֶּ֣הvai.ya.KehH5221meH3947watersהַמַּ֔יִםha.Ma.yimH4325, and they weredividedוַיֵּחָצ֖וּvai.ye.cha.TzuH2673hither and thither,soH3947that theytwoשְׁנֵיהֶ֖םshe.nei.HemH8147went over ondryבֶּחָרָבָֽה׃be.cha.ra.VahH2724groundH2724.

9And itcameH1961topassכְעָבְרָ֗םkhe.'a.ve.RamH5674, when they weregoneH1961over, thatElijahוְאֵ֨לִיָּ֜הוּve.'E.li.Ya.huH452saidאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559untoElishaאֱלִישָׁע֙'e.li.Sha'H477,Askשְׁאַל֙she.'AlH7592whatמָ֣הmahH4100I shalldoאֶֽעֱשֶׂה־'e.'e.seh-H6213for thee,beforeבְּטֶ֖רֶםbe.Te.remH2962I betakenאֶלָּקַ֣ח'e.la.KachH3947from thee. 10And hesaidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, Thou hastaskedלִשְׁא֑וֹלlish.'olH7592ahardהִקְשִׁ֣יתָhik.Shi.taH7185thingH3651:neverthelessH3651,ifאִם־'im-H518thouseeתִּרְאֶ֨הtir.'EhH7200meH7200when I amtakenלֻקָּ֤חlu.KachH3947from thee, it shall besoH3651unto thee; butifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518notH3808, it shallnotH3808besoH3651.

11And itcameH1961topassH1961, as they stillwentH1980on, andtalkedוְדַבֵּ֔רve.da.BerH1696, that,beholdוְהִנֵּ֤הve.hi.NehH2009, there appeared achariotרֶֽכֶב־re.khev-H7393offireאֵשׁ֙'eshH784, andhorsesוְס֣וּסֵיve.Su.seiH5483offireאֵ֔שׁ'EshH784,whichH784partedוַיַּפְרִ֖דוּvai.yaf.Ri.duH6504thembothשְׁנֵיהֶ֑םshe.nei.HemH8147asunder; andElijahאֵ֣לִיָּ֔הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452wentH1980upוַיַּ֙עַל֙vai.Ya.'alH5927by a whirlwindintoH1980heavenהַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ha.sha.Ma.yimH8064.

12AndElishaוֶאֱלִישָׁ֣עve.'e.li.Sha'H477sawרֹאֶ֗הro.'EhH7200it, and hecriedמְצַעֵק֙me.tza.'EkH6817, Myfatherאָבִ֣י׀'a.ViH1, myfatherאָבִ֗י'a.ViH1, thechariotsרֶ֤כֶבRe.khevH7393ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478and thehorsemenוּפָ֣רָשָׁ֔יוu.Fa.ra.ShavH6571thereof! And hesawרָאָ֖הוּra.'A.huH7200himnoוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808moreע֑וֹדodH5750: and hetookH2388holdוַֽיַּחֲזֵק֙vai.ya.cha.ZekH2388of hisownH2388clothesבִּבְגָדָ֔יוbiv.ga.DavH899, and rent them intwoלִשְׁנַ֥יִםlish.Na.yimH8147piecesקְרָעִֽים׃ke.ra.'ImH7168.

13Hetookאֶת־'et-H853upוַיָּ֙רֶם֙vai.Ya.remH7311also themantleאַדֶּ֣רֶת'a.De.retH155ofElijahאֵלִיָּ֔הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452thatfellנָפְלָ֖הna.fe.LahH5307from him, andwentH7725backוַיָּ֥שָׁבvai.Ya.shovH7725, andstoodוַֽיַּעֲמֹ֖דvai.ya.'a.ModH5975by thebankשְׂפַ֥תse.FatH8193ofJordanהַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃hai.yar.DenH3383.

14And hetookוַיִּקַּח֩vai.yi.KachH3947themantleאַדֶּ֨רֶת'a.De.retH155ofElijahאֵלִיָּ֜הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452thatfellנָפְלָ֤הna.fe.LahH5307from him, andsmoteוַיַּכֶּ֣הvai.ya.KehH5221thewatersהַמַּ֔יִםha.Ma.yimH4325, andsaidוַיֹּאמַ֕רvai.yo.MarH559,Whereאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834is theLORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068, theGodאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430ofElijahאֵלִיָּ֑הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452? and when he also hadsmittenוַיַּכֶּ֣הvai.ya.KehH5221thewatersהַמַּ֗יִםha.Ma.yimH4325, they weredividedוַיֵּֽחָצוּ֙vai.ye.cha.TzuH2673hither and thither: andElishaאֱלִישָֽׁע׃'e.li.Sha'H477went over.

15And when thesonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of theprophetsהַנְּבִיאִ֤יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834were atJerichoבִּֽירִיחוֹ֙bi.ri.ChoH3405overagainstעַל־'al-H5921himsawוַיִּרְאֻ֨הוּvai.yir.'U.huH7200him, theysaidוַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּvai.Yo.me.RuH559, Thespiritר֥וּחַRu.achH7307ofElijahאֵלִיָּ֖הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452dothrestנָ֛חָהNa.chahH5117onElishaאֱלִישָׁ֑ע'e.li.Sha'H477. And theycameוַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙vai.ya.Vo.'uH935tomeetH7125him, andbowedוַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּ־vai.yish.ta.cha.vu-H7812themselvesH7812to thegroundאָֽרְצָה׃'A.re.tzahH776beforeמִנֶּ֔גֶדmi.Ne.gedH5048him.
