20If ye forsakeתַֽעַזְבוּ֙ta.'az.VuH5800Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,and serveוַעֲבַדְתֶּ֖םva.'a.vad.TemH5647strangeנֵכָ֑רne.KharH5236godsאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430,then he will turnוְשָׁ֨בve.ShavH7725and do you hurtוְהֵרַ֤עve.he.Ra'H7489,and consumeוְכִלָּ֣הve.khi.LahH3615you, afterאַחֲרֵ֖י'a.cha.ReiH310that he hath done you goodהֵיטִ֥יבhei.TivH3190.

21And the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֑עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091,Nay; but we will serveנַעֲבֹֽד׃na.'a.VodH5647Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068.

22And Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto the peopleהָעָ֗םha.'AmH5971, Ye arewitnessesעֵדִ֤ים'e.DimH5707against yourselves that ye have chosenבְּחַרְתֶּ֥םbe.char.TemH977you Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,to serveלַעֲבֹ֣דla.'a.VodH5647him. And they saidוַיֹּאמְר֖וּvai.yo.me.RuH559, We arewitnessesעֵדִֽים׃'e.DimH5707.

23Now therefore put awayהָסִ֛ירוּha.Si.ruH5493, said he,the strangeהַנֵּכָ֖רha.ne.KharH5236godsאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430which areamongבְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑םbe.kir.be.KhemH7130you, and inclineוְהַטּוּ֙ve.ha.TuH5186your heartלְבַבְכֶ֔םle.vav.KhemH3824unto Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

24And the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971saidוַיֹּאמְר֥וּvai.yo.me.RuH559unto Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֑עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091,Yhwhיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068our Godאֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙'e.lo.Hei.nuH430will we serveנַעֲבֹ֔דna.'a.VodH5647,and his voiceוּבְקוֹל֖וֹu.ve.ko.LoH6963will we obeyנִשְׁמָֽע׃nish.Ma'H8085.
