1The wordהַדָּבָ֛רha.da.VarH1697which came unto Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֖הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414from Yhwhיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,when Nebuchadnezzarוּנְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֣רu.ne.vu.khad.re.TzarH5019kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֣ל׀ba.VelH894,and all his armyחֵיל֡וֹchei.LoH2428,and all the kingdomsמַמְלְכ֣וֹתmam.le.KhotH4467of the earthאֶרֶץ֩'e.RetzH776of his dominionמֶמְשֶׁ֨לֶת יָד֜וֹmem.She.let ya.DoH4475 H3027,and all the peopleהָעַמִּ֗יםha.'a.MimH5971,foughtנִלְחָמִ֧יםnil.cha.MimH3898against Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֛םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,and against all the citiesעָרֶ֖יהָ'a.Rei.haH5892thereof, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

2Thus saithאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559Yhwhיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478;Goהָלֹךְ֙ha.loKhH1980and speakוְאָ֣מַרְתָּ֔ve.'A.mar.taH559to Zedekiahצִדְקִיָּ֖הוּtzid.ki.Ya.huH6667kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063,and tellוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559him, Thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068;Behold, I will giveנֹתֵ֜ןno.TenH5414this cityהָעִ֤ירha.'IrH5892into the handבְּיַ֣דbe.YadH3027of the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֔לba.VelH894,and he shall burnוּשְׂרָפָ֖הּu.se.ra.FahH8313it with fireבָּאֵֽשׁ׃ba.'EshH784:

3And thou shalt not escape outתִמָּלֵט֙ti.ma.LetH4422of his handמִיָּד֔וֹmi.ya.DoH3027,but shalt surelyתָּפֹ֣שׂta.FosH8610be takenתִּתָּפֵ֔שׂti.ta.FesH8610,and deliveredתִּנָּתֵ֑ןti.na.TenH5414into his handוּבְיָד֖וֹu.ve.ya.DoH3027;and thine eyesוְֽ֠עֵינֶיךָVe.'ei.nei.khaH5869shall beholdתִּרְאֶ֗ינָהtir.'Ei.nahH7200the eyesעֵינֵ֨י'ei.NeiH5869of the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֜לba.VelH894,and he shall speakיְדַבֵּ֖רye.da.BerH1696with thee mouthוּפִ֛יהוּu.Fi.huH6310to mouthפִּ֥יךָPi.khaH6310,and thou shalt goתָּבֽוֹא׃ta.Vo'H935to Babylonוּבָבֶ֥לu.va.VelH894.

4Yet hearשְׁמַ֣עshe.Ma'H8085the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,O Zedekiahצִדְקִיָּ֖הוּtzid.ki.Ya.huH6667kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063;Thus saithאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559Yhwhיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068of thee, Thou shalt not dieתָמ֖וּתta.MutH4191by the swordבֶּחָֽרֶב׃be.Cha.revH2719:

5Butthou shalt dieתָּמ֗וּתta.MutH4191in peaceבְּשָׁל֣וֹםbe.sha.LomH7965:and with the burningsוּֽכְמִשְׂרְפ֣וֹתu.khe.mis.re.FotH4955of thy fathersאֲ֠בוֹתֶיךָ'A.vo.tei.khaH1,the formerהָרִֽאשֹׁנִ֜יםha.ri.sho.NimH7223kingsהַמְּלָכִ֨יםha.me.la.KhimH4428which were beforeלְפָנֶ֗יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440thee, so shall they burnיִשְׂרְפוּ־yis.re.fu-H8313odoursfor thee; and they will lamentיִסְפְּדוּ־yis.pe.du-H5594thee, saying,Ahוְה֥וֹיve.HoH1945lordאָד֖וֹן'a.DonH113!for I have pronouncedדִבַּ֖רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696the wordדָבָ֥רda.VarH1697,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002Yhwhיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.

7When the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylon’sבָּבֶ֗לba.VelH894armyוְחֵ֣ילve.CheilH2428foughtנִלְחָמִים֙nil.cha.MimH3898against Jerusalemיְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םye.Ru.sha.LimH3389,and against all the citiesעָרֵ֥י'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063that were leftהַנּֽוֹתָר֑וֹתha.no.ta.RotH3498,against Lachishלָכִישׁ֙la.KhishH3923,and against Azekahעֲזֵקָ֔ה'a.ze.KahH5825:for these defencedמִבְצָֽר׃ פmiv.TzarH4013citiesבְּעָרֵ֥יbe.'a.ReiH5892remainedנִשְׁאֲר֛וּnish.'a.RuH7604of the citiesעָרֵ֥י'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063.
