9And Mosesמֹשֶׁ֤הmo.ShehH4872saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ye.ho.Shu.a'H3091,Choose us outבְּחַר־be.char-H977menאֲנָשִׁ֔ים'a.na.ShimH582,and go outוְצֵ֖אve.Tze'H3318,fightהִלָּחֵ֣םhi.la.ChemH3898with Amalekבַּעֲמָלֵ֑קba.'a.ma.LekH6002:to morrowמָחָ֗רma.CharH4279I will standנִצָּב֙ni.TzavH5324on the topרֹ֣אשׁroshH7218of the hillהַגִּבְעָ֔הha.giv.'AhH1389with the rodוּמַטֵּ֥הu.ma.TehH4294of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֖יםha.'E.lo.HimH430in mine handבְּיָדִֽי׃be.ya.DiH3027.

10So Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֗עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091didוַיַּ֣עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213as Mosesמֹשֶׁ֔הmo.ShehH4872had saidאָֽמַר־'a.mar-H559to him, and foughtלְהִלָּחֵ֖םle.hi.la.ChemH3898with Amalekבַּעֲמָלֵ֑קba.'a.ma.LekH6002:and Mosesוּמֹשֶׁה֙u.mo.ShehH4872,Aaronאַהֲרֹ֣ן'a.ha.RonH175,and Hurוְח֔וּרve.ChurH2354went upעָל֖וּ'a.LuH5927to the topרֹ֥אשׁroshH7218of the hillהַגִּבְעָֽה׃ha.giv.'AhH1389.

11And it came to pass, when Mosesמֹשֶׁ֛הmo.ShehH4872held upיָרִ֥יםya.RimH7311his handיָד֖וֹya.DoH3027,that Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478prevailedוְגָבַ֣רve.ga.VarH1396:and when he let downיָנִ֛יחַya.Ni.achH5117his handיָד֖וֹya.DoH3027,Amalekעֲמָלֵֽק׃'a.ma.LekH6002prevailedוְגָבַ֥רve.ga.VarH1396.

12But Moses’מֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872handsוִידֵ֤יvi.DeiH3027wereheavyכְּבֵדִ֔יםke.ve.DimH3515;and they tookוַיִּקְחוּ־vai.yik.chu-H3947a stoneאֶ֛בֶן'E.venH68,and putוַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּvai.ya.Si.muH7760itunder him, and he satוַיֵּ֣שֶׁבvai.Ye.shevH3427thereon; and Aaronוְאַהֲרֹ֨ןve.'a.ha.RonH175and Hurוְח֜וּרve.ChurH2354stayed upתָּֽמְכ֣וּta.me.KhuH8551his handsבְיָדָ֗יוve.ya.DavH3027,the one on the one sideאֶחָד֙'e.ChadH259,and the other on the other sideאֶחָ֔ד'e.ChadH259;and his handsיָדָ֛יוya.DavH3027were steadyאֱמוּנָ֖ה'e.mu.NahH530until the going downבֹּ֥אbo'H935of the sunהַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃ha.Sha.meshH8121.

13And Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֛עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091discomfitedוַיַּחֲלֹ֧שׁvai.ya.cha.LoshH2522Amalekעֲמָלֵ֥ק'a.ma.LekH6002and his peopleעַמּ֖וֹa.MoH5971with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחָֽרֶב׃ פCha.revH2719.

16For he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Because Yahיָ֔הּYahH3050hath swornיָד֙ כֵּ֣סyad kesH3676 H3027thatYhwhלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068will havewarמִלְחָמָ֥הmil.cha.MahH4421with Amalekבַּֽעֲמָלֵ֑קba.'a.ma.LekH6002from generationמִדֹּ֖רmi.DorH1755to generationדֹּֽר׃ פDorH1755.
