For allH3605 the congregationH5712 are holyH6918, everyH3605 oneH3605 of them, and 9the LordH3068 is in their midstH8432; so whyH4069 do you exaltH5375 yourselves aboveH5921 the assemblyH6951 of the LordH3068?”

12Then MosesH4872 sentH7971 22a summonsH7121 to DathanH1885 and AbiramH48, the sonsH1121 of EliabH446; but they saidH559, “We will not comeH5927 upH5927. 13Is it 23not enoughH4592 that you have broughtH5927 us upH5927 out of a 24landH776 flowingH2100 with milkH2461 and honeyH1706 25to have us dieH4191 in the wildernessH4057, but you would alsoH1571 appointH8323 yourself asH8323 masterH8323 overH5921 us? 14IndeedH637, you have not broughtH935 us 26into a landH776 flowingH2100 with milkH2461 and honeyH1706, norH3808 have you givenH5414 us an inheritanceH5159 of 27fieldsH7704 and vineyardsH3754. And 35the gloryH3519 of the LordH3068 appearedH7200 to allH3605 the congregationH5712.

20Then the LordH3068 spokeH1696 to MosesH4872 and AaronH175, sayingH559, 21“36SeparateH914 yourselves from amongH8432 thisH2088 congregationH5712, 37so that I may consumeH3615 them instantlyH7281.” 22But they fellH5307 on their facesH6440 and saidH559, “GodH410, 38the GodH430 of the spiritsH7307 of 39humanityH3605H1320, 40when oneH259 personH376 sinsH2398, will You beH7107 angryH7107 with the entireH3605 congregationH5712?”

23Then the LordH3068 spokeH1696 to MosesH4872, sayingH559, 24“SpeakH1696 to the congregationH5712, sayingH559, ‘41GetH5927 awayH5927 from the areas aroundH5439 the 42tentsH4908 of KorahH7141, DathanH1885, and AbiramH48.’”

25Then MosesH4872 aroseH6965 and wentH1980 to DathanH1885 and AbiramH48, with the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478 followingH1980H310 him, 26and he spokeH1696 to the congregationH5712, sayingH559, “43GetH5493 awayH5493 nowH4994 from the tentsH168 of theseH428 wickedH7563 menH376, and do not touchH5060 anythingH3605 that belongs to them, 44orH6435 you will be sweptH5595 awayH5595 in allH3605 their sinH2403!” 27So they movedH5927 awayH5927 from the areas aroundH5439 the 45tentsH4908 of KorahH7141, DathanH1885, and AbiramH48; and DathanH1885 and AbiramH48 cameH3318 outH3318 and stoodH5324 at the entrancesH6607 of their tentsH168, along with their wivesH802, 46their sonsH1121, and their littleH2945 onesH2945. 28Then MosesH4872 saidH559, “By thisH2088 you shall knowH3045 that 47the LordH3068 has sentH7971 me to doH6213 allH3605 theseH428 deedsH4639; for it is not 48my doingH4480H3820. 29IfH518 theseH428 menH428 dieH4191 49the deathH4194 of allH3605 mankindH120, or 50if they sufferH6485 the 51fateH6486 of allH3605 mankindH120, then the LordH3068 has not sentH7971 me. 30But 52ifH518 the LordH3068 53bringsH1254 aboutH1254 an entirelyH1278 newH1278 thingH1278 and the groundH127 opensH6475 its mouthH6310 and swallowsH1104 them with everythingH3605 that is theirsH1992, and they 54descendH3381 aliveH2416 into 55SheolH7585, then you will knowH3045 that theseH428 menH376 have beenH5006 disrespectfulH5006 to the LordH3068.”

31And as he finishedH3615 speakingH1696 allH3605 theseH428 wordsH1697, the groundH127 that was underH8478 them splitH1234 openH1234; 32and 56the earthH776 openedH6605 its mouthH6310 and swallowedH1104 them, their householdsH1004, and 57allH3605 the peopleH120 whoH834 belonged to KorahH7141 with allH3605 their possessionsH7399. 33So they and allH3605 that belonged to them wentH3381 downH3381 aliveH2416 to 58SheolH7585; and the earthH776 closedH3680 overH5921 them, and they perishedH6 from the midstH8432 of the assemblyH6951. 34Then allH3605 IsraelH3478 whoH834 were aroundH5439 them fledH5127 at their 59outcryH6963, for they saidH559, “The earthH776 might swallowH1104 us!” 3560FireH784 also cameH3318 outH3318 from the LordH3068 and consumedH398 the 61250H3967H2572 menH376 who were offeringH7126 the incenseH7004.

3662Then the LordH3068 spokeH1696 to MosesH4872, sayingH559, 37“TellH559 EleazarH499, the sonH1121 of AaronH175 the priestH3548, that he shall pickH7311 upH7311 the censersH4289 from the midstH996 of the burnedH8316 areaH8316, becauseH3588 they areH6942 holyH6942; and you are to scatterH2219 the 63burningH784 coalsH784 fartherH1973 awayH1973. 38As for the censersH4289 of theseH428 64menH2400 whoH2400 have sinnedH2400 at the cost of their own livesH5315, have them madeH6213 into hammeredH7555 sheetsH6341 as platingH6826 for the altarH4196, sinceH3588 they did presentH7126 them beforeH6440 the LordH3068 and they areH6942 holyH6942; and 65they shall 66serveH1961 as a signH226 to the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478.” 39So the priestH3548 EleazarH499 tookH3947 the bronzeH5178 censersH4289 whichH834 the men who were burnedH8313 had offeredH7126, and they hammeredH7554 them outH7554 as platingH6826 for the altarH4196, 40as a reminderH2146 to the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 soH4616 thatH4616 67noH3808 68laymanH376H2114, anyone whoH834 was not of the 69descendantsH2233 of AaronH175, would approachH7126 70to burnH6999 incenseH7004 beforeH6440 the LordH3068; then he would not becomeH1961 like KorahH7141 and his groupH5712--justH3512 asH3512 the LordH3068 had spokenH1696 to him 71throughH3027 MosesH4872.

Murmuring and Plague

41But on the nextH4283 dayH4283 allH3605 the congregationH5712 of the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 72grumbledH3885 againstH5921 MosesH4872 and AaronH175, sayingH559, “You are the ones who have causedH4191 the deathH4191 of the Lord’sH3068 peopleH5971!” 42It cameH1961 aboutH1961, however, when the congregationH5712 had assembledH6950 againstH5921 MosesH4872 and AaronH175, that they turnedH6437 towardH413 the tentH168 of meetingH4150, and beholdH2009, the cloudH6051 coveredH3680 it and 73the gloryH3519 of the LordH3068 appearedH7200. 43Then MosesH4872 and AaronH175 cameH935 to the frontH6440 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150, 44and the LordH3068 spokeH1696 to MosesH4872, sayingH559, 45“74GetH7426 awayH7426 from amongH8432 thisH2088 congregationH5712 so that I may consumeH3615 them instantlyH7281.” Then they fellH5307 on their facesH6440. 46And MosesH4872 saidH559 to AaronH175, “TakeH3947 your censerH4289 and putH5414 fireH784 in it from the altarH4196, and placeH7760 incenseH7004 on it; then bringH1980 it quicklyH4120 to the congregationH5712 and 75makeH3722 atonementH3722 for them, for 76wrathH7110 has goneH3318 outH3318 from the LordH3068, the plagueH5063 has begunH2490!” 47Then AaronH175 tookH3947 it justH3512 asH3512 MosesH4872 had spokenH1696, and he ranH7323 into the midstH8432 of the assemblyH6951; and beholdH2009, the plagueH5063 had begunH2490 among the peopleH5971. 77So he putH5414 on the incenseH7004 and madeH3722 atonementH3722 for the peopleH5971. 48And he tookH5975 his standH5975 betweenH996 the deadH4191 and the livingH2416, so that the plagueH4046 was broughtH6113 toH6113 aH6113 haltH6113. 4978But those who diedH4191 by the plagueH4046 were 14,700H702H6240H505H7651H3967 in number, besidesH4480H905 those who 79diedH4191 on accountH1697 of KorahH7141. 50Then AaronH175 returnedH7725 to MosesH4872 at the entranceH6607 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150, for the plagueH4046 had been broughtH6113 toH6113 aH6113 haltH6113.
