40But as it is, 3you are seekingG2212 to killG615 Me, a ManG444 whoG3739 has 4toldG2980 you the truthG225, whichG3739 I heardG191 from GodG2316; thisG3778 AbrahamG11 did not doG4160.
41You are doingG4160 the deedsG2041 of 5your fatherG3962.” They saidG3004 to Him, “We were not bornG1080 as a resultG1537 of sexualG4202 immoralityG4202; 6we haveG2192 oneG1520 FatherG3962: GodG2316.”
42JesusG2424 saidG3004 to them, “IfG1487 GodG2316 were your FatherG3962, 7you would loveG25 Me, 8for I cameG1831 forthG1831 from GodG2316 and amG2240 hereG2240; for I have 9not evenG3761 comeG2064 10on My ownG1683, but 1112He sentG649 Me.
