Jeremiah 27:12-18

12I spokeH1696 wordsH1697 like allH3605 theseH428 to 1ZedekiahH6667 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, sayingH559, “BringH935 your necksH6677 under the yokeH5923 of the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 and serveH5647 him and his peopleH5971, and liveH2421! 13WhyH4100 should you 2dieH4191, you and your peopleH5971, by the swordH2719, famineH7458, and plagueH1698, as the LordH3068 has spokenH1696 to the nationH1471 that will not serveH5647 the kingH4428 of BabylonH894? 14So 3do not listenH8085 to the wordsH1697 of the prophetsH5030 who talkH559 to you, sayingH559, ‘You will not serveH5647 the kingH4428 of BabylonH894,’ for they are prophesyingH5012 a 4lieH8267 to you; 15for 5I have not sentH7971 them,” declaresH5002 the LordH3068, “but they are 6prophesyingH5012 falselyH8267 in My nameH8034, soH4616 thatH4616 I will 7driveH5080 you awayH5080 and that you will perishH6, 8you and the prophetsH5030 who prophesyH5012 to you.”

16Then I spokeH1696 to the priestsH3548 and to allH3605 thisH2088 peopleH5971, sayingH559: “ThisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH3068 saysH559: ‘Do not listenH8085 to the wordsH1697 of your prophetsH5030 who prophesyH5012 to you, sayingH559, “BeholdH2009, the 9vesselsH3627 of the Lord’sH3068 houseH1004 will nowH6258 shortlyH4120 be broughtH7725 backH7725 from BabylonH894”; for they are prophesyingH5012 a 10lieH8267 to you. 17Do not listenH8085 to them; serveH5647 the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, and liveH2421! WhyH4100 should thisH2088 cityH5892 11becomeH1961 a placeH2723 ofH2723 ruinsH2723? 18But 12ifH518 they are prophetsH5030, and ifH518 the wordH1697 of the LordH3068 is with them, have them nowH4994 13pleadH6293 withH6293 the LordH3068 of armiesH6635 that the vesselsH3627 which are leftH3498 in the houseH1004 of the LordH3068 and the houseH1004 of the kingH4428 of JudahH3063 and in JerusalemH3389 do not goH935 to BabylonH894.
