1 Samuel 4:18-22
18When he mentionedH2142 the arkH727 of GodH430, 12Eli fellH5307 offH4480H5921 the seatH3678 backwardH322 besideH5704H3027 the gateH8179, and his neckH4665 was brokenH7665 and he diedH4191, for 3he wasH2204 oldH2204 and heavyH3515. And so he judgedH8199 IsraelH3478 for fortyH705 yearsH8141.
19Now his daughter-in-lawH3618, Phinehas’H6372 wifeH802, was pregnantH2030 and about to giveH3205 birthH3205; and when she heardH8085 the newsH8052 that the arkH727 of GodH430 had been takenH3947 and that her father-in-lawH2524 and her husbandH376 had diedH4191, she kneeledH3766 downH3766 and gaveH3205 birthH3205, becauseH3588 her painsH6735 cameH2015 upon her. 20And about the timeH6256 of her deathH4191 the women who were standingH5324 by her saidH1696 to her, “4Do not beH3372 afraidH3372, for you have givenH3205 birthH3205 to a sonH1121.” But she did not answerH6030 or payH7896 attentionH3820. 21And she namedH7121 the boyH5288 5IchabodH350, sayingH559, “6The gloryH3519 has departedH1540 from IsraelH3478,” becauseH413 7the arkH727 of GodH430 had been takenH3947 and becauseH413 of her father-in-lawH2524 and her husbandH376. 22So she saidH559, “The gloryH3519 has departedH1540 from IsraelH3478, becauseH3588 the arkH727 of GodH430 has been takenH3947.”
