1 Samuel 2:12-18

12Now the sonsH1121 of EliH5941 were 12uselessH1100 menH1121; they did not knowH3045 the LordH3068. 133And this was the customH4941 of the priestsH3548 with the peopleH5971: when anyoneH3605H376 was offeringH2076 a sacrificeH2077, the priest’sH3548 servantH5288 would comeH935 while the meatH1320 was cookingH1310, with a three-prongedH7969H8127 forkH4207 in his handH3027. 14And he would thrustH5221 it into the panH3595, orH176 kettleH1731, orH176 caldronH7037, orH176 potH6517; everythingH3605 that the forkH4207 broughtH5927 upH5927, the priestH3548 would takeH3947 for himself. They didH6213 soH3602 in ShilohH7887 to allH3605 the IsraelitesH3478 who cameH935 thereH8033. 15AlsoH1571, beforeH2962 4they 5burnedH6999 the fatH2459, the priest’sH3548 servantH5288 would comeH935 and sayH559 to the manH376 who was sacrificingH2076, “GiveH5414 the priestH3548 meatH1320 for roastingH6740, as he will not takeH3947 cookedH1310 meatH1320 from you, onlyH3588H518 rawH2416.” 16And if the manH376 saidH559 to him, “They mustH6999 6burnH6999 the fatH2459 7firstH3117, then takeH3947 as muchH3512 asH3512 8you desireH183,” then he would sayH559, “NoH3808, but you must giveH5414 it to me nowH6258; and ifH518 not, I am takingH3947 it by forceH2394!” 17And so the sinH2403 of the youngH5288 menH5288 was veryH3966 greatH1419 beforeH6440 the LordH3068, for the menH376 9treatedH5006 the offeringH4503 of the LordH3068 disrespectfullyH5006.

18Now 10SamuelH8050 was ministeringH8334 beforeH6440 the LordH3068, as a boyH5288 11wearingH2296 a linenH906 ephodH646.
