1 Kings 6:3-23
3The porchH197 in frontH6440 of the mainH1964 roomH1964 of the houseH1004 was 1twentyH6242 cubitsH520 in 2lengthH753, 3correspondingH5921H6440 to the widthH7341 of the houseH1004, and its widthH7341 alongH5921 the frontH6440 of the houseH1004 was tenH6235 cubitsH520. 4Also for the houseH1004 4he madeH6213 windowsH2474 with artistic framesH331H8261. 55AgainstH5921 the wallH7023 of the houseH1004 he builtH1129 storiesH3330 encompassingH5439 the wallsH7023 of the houseH1004 aroundH5439 both the mainH1964 roomH1964 and the 67innerH1687 sanctuaryH1687; so he madeH6213 8sideH6763 chambersH6763 allH5439 aroundH5439. 6The lowestH8481 storyH3330 was 9fiveH2568 cubitsH520 wideH7341, the middleH8484 was sixH8337 cubitsH520 wideH7341, and the thirdH7992 was sevenH7651 cubitsH520 wideH7341; for on the outsideH2351 he 10madeH5414 offsetsH4052 in the wall of the houseH1004 allH5439 aroundH5439 so that the beams would not 11be insertedH270 into the wallsH7023 of the houseH1004.
712The houseH1004, while it was being builtH1129, was builtH1129 of stoneH68 finishedH8003 at the quarryH4551, and neitherH3808 hammerH4717, norH3808 axeH1631, norH3808 anyH3605 ironH1270 toolH3627 was heardH8085 in the houseH1004 while it was being builtH1129.
8The doorwayH6607 for the 13lowestH8481 sideH6763 chamberH6763 was on the rightH3233 sideH3802 of the houseH1004; and they would goH5927 upH5927 by a windingH3883 staircaseH3883 to the middleH8484 story, and from the middleH8484 to the thirdH7992. 9So 14he builtH1129 the houseH1004 and finishedH3615 it; and he coveredH5603 the houseH1004 with beamsH1356 and 15planksH7713 of cedarH730. 10He also builtH1129 the storiesH3330 againstH5921 the wholeH3605 houseH1004, each 16fiveH2568 cubitsH520 highH6967; and they 17were attachedH270 to the houseH1004 with timbersH6086 of cedarH730.
11Now the wordH1697 of the LordH3068 cameH1961 to SolomonH8010, sayingH559, 12“As for thisH2088 houseH1004 whichH834 you are buildingH1129, 18ifH518 you will walkH1980 in My statutesH2708 and executeH6213 My ordinancesH4941 and keepH8104 allH3605 My commandmentsH4687 by walkingH1980 in them, then I will fulfillH6965 My wordH1697 with you whichH834 I spokeH1696 to DavidH1732 your fatherH1. 13And 19I will dwellH7931 amongH8432 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478, and 20will not abandonH5800 My peopleH5971 IsraelH3478.”
1421So SolomonH8010 builtH1129 the houseH1004 and finishedH3615 it. 15He 22builtH1129 the wallsH7023 of the houseH1004 on the insideH4480H1004 with boardsH6763 of cedarH730; from the floorH7172 of the houseH1004 to the 23ceilingH7023H5604 he paneledH6823 the walls on the insideH4480H1004 with woodH6086, and he paneledH6823 the floorH7172 of the houseH1004 with boardsH6763 of juniperH1265. 1624He also builtH1129 25twentyH6242 cubitsH520 on the rearH3411 partH3411 of the houseH1004 with boardsH6763 of cedarH730 from the floorH7172 to the 26ceilingH7023; he builtH1129 them for it on the insideH4480H1004 as an innerH1687 sanctuaryH1687, as 27the MostH6944 HolyH6944 PlaceH6944. 17The houseH1004, that is, the mainH1964 roomH1964 in frontH6440 of the inner sanctuary, was 28fortyH705 cubitsH520 long. 18There was cedarH730 insideH6441 the houseH1004, carvedH4734 in the shape of 29gourdsH6497 and openH6362 flowersH6731; everythingH3605 was cedarH730, thereH369 wasH369 noH369 stoneH68 visibleH7200. 19Then he preparedH3559 an innerH1687 sanctuaryH1687 insideH8432 the houseH1004 in order to placeH5414 thereH8033 the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of the LordH3068. 2030The innerH1687 sanctuaryH1687 was twentyH6242 cubitsH520 in lengthH753, twentyH6242 cubitsH520 in widthH7341, and twentyH6242 cubitsH520 in heightH6967; and he overlaidH6823 it with pureH5458 goldH2091. He also paneledH6823 the altarH4196 with cedarH730. 21So SolomonH8010 overlaidH6823 the insideH4480H6441 of the houseH1004 with pureH5458 goldH2091. And he extendedH5674 chainsH7569 of goldH2091 acrossH5674 the frontH6440 of the innerH1687 sanctuaryH1687, and he overlaidH6823 it with goldH2091. 22He overlaidH6823 the entireH3605 houseH1004 with goldH2091, untilH5704 allH3605 the houseH1004 was finishedH8552. Also 31the entireH3605 altarH4196 whichH834 was by the innerH1687 sanctuaryH1687 he overlaidH6823 with goldH2091.
2332And in the innerH1687 sanctuaryH1687 he madeH6213 twoH8147 33cherubimH3742 of oliveH8081 woodH6086, each 34tenH6235 cubitsH520 highH6967.
