Revised Version 1895
Kings 6:3-23
And the porchH197 beforeH6440 the templeH1004 of the houseH1004, twentyH6242 cubitsH520 was the lengthH753 thereof, accordingH5921 to the breadthH7341 of the houseH1004; and tenH6235 cubitsH520 was the breadthH7341 thereof beforeH6440 the houseH1004.
And for the houseH1004 he madeH6213 windowsH2474 of fixed lattice-work.
And againstH5921 the wallH7023 of the houseH1004 he builtH1129 storiesH6763 roundH5439 aboutH5439, againstH5921 the wallsH7023 of the houseH1004 roundH5439 aboutH5439, bothH5921 of the templeH1004 and of the oracle: and he madeH6213 side-chambers roundH5439 aboutH5439:
The nethermost story was fiveH2568 cubitsH520 broad, and the middleH8484 was sixH8337 cubitsH520 broad, and the thirdH7992 was sevenH7651 cubitsH520 broad: for on the outsideH2351 he madeH5414 rebatements in the wallH7023 of the houseH1004 roundH5439 aboutH5439, that the beams should notH1115 have holdH270 in the wallsH7023 of the houseH1004.
And the houseH1004, when it was in buildingH1129, was builtH1129 of stoneH68 madeH3605 ready at the quarry: and there was neitherH3808 hammerH4717 norH3808 axeH1631 norH3808 anyH3605 toolH3627 of ironH1270 heardH8085 in the houseH1004, whileH1004 it was in buildingH1129.
The doorH6607 for the middleH8484 side-chambers was in the rightH3233 sideH3802 of the houseH1004: and they wentH5927 upH5927 by windingH3883 stairsH3883 intoH413 the middleH8484 chambersH6763, and outH4480 of the middleH8484 intoH413 the thirdH7992.
SoH853 he builtH1129 the houseH1004, and finishedH3615 it; and he coveredH5603 the houseH1004 with beams and planksH7713 of cedar.
And he builtH1129 the stories againstH5921 allH3605 the houseH1004, eachH3605 fiveH2568 cubitsH520 highH6967: and they rested on the houseH1004 with timberH6086 of cedarH730.
And the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 cameH1961 to SolomonH8010, sayingH559,
Concerning this houseH1004 whichH834 thou art in buildingH1129, ifH518 thou wilt walk in my statutesH2708, and execute my judgmentsH4941, and keepH8104 allH3605 my commandmentsH4687 to walk in them; then will I establishH6965 my wordH1697 with thee, whichH834 I spake unto DavidH1732 thy fatherH1.
And I will dwellH7931 among the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, and will notH3808 forsakeH5800 my peopleH5971 IsraelH3478.
SoH853 SolomonH8010 builtH1129 the houseH1004, and finishedH3615 it.
And he builtH1129 the wallsH7023 of the houseH1004 withinH1004 with boardsH6763 of cedarH730; from the floorH7172 of the houseH1004 unto the wallsH7023 of the cieling, he covered them on the insideH1004 with woodH6086: and he covered the floorH7172 of the houseH1004 with boardsH6763 of firH1265.
And he builtH1129 twentyH6242 cubitsH520 on the hinder partH3411 of the houseH1004 with boardsH6763 of cedarH730 from the floorH7172 unto the wallsH7023: he evenH5704 builtH1129 them for it withinH1004, for an oracle, evenH5704 for the mostH6944 holyH6944 placeH6944.
And the houseH1004, that is, the templeH1004 before the oracle, was fortyH705 cubitsH520 long.
And there was cedarH730 on the houseH1004 withinH6441, carvedH4734 with knops and open flowers: allH3605 was cedarH730; there was noH369 stoneH68 seenH7200.
And he preparedH3559 an oracle in the midstH8432 of the houseH1004 withinH8432, to setH5414 there the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of the LORDH3068.
And within the oracle was a space of twentyH6242 cubitsH520 in lengthH753, and twentyH6242 cubitsH520 in breadthH7341, and twentyH6242 cubitsH520 in the heightH6967 thereof; and he overlaidH6823 it with pureH5462 goldH2091: and he covered the altarH4196 with cedarH730.
SoH5674 SolomonH8010 overlaidH6823 the houseH1004 withinH6441 with pureH5462 goldH2091: and he drew chainsH7572 of goldH2091 acrossH5674 beforeH6440 the oracle; and he overlaidH6823 it with goldH2091.
And the wholeH3605 houseH1004 he overlaidH6823 with goldH2091, untilH5704 allH3605 the houseH1004 was finishedH8552: also the wholeH3605 altarH4196 that belonged to the oracle he overlaidH6823 with goldH2091.
And in the oracle he madeH6213 twoH8147 cherubimH3742 of oliveH8081 woodH6086, eachH8147 tenH6235 cubitsH520 highH6967.
