Romans 3:20-31
20because 1by the works 2of the Law 3none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for 45through the Law comes 6knowledge of sin.
21But now apart 7from the Law 8the righteousness of God has been revealed, being 9witnessed by the 10Law and the Prophets, 22but it is the 11righteousness of God through 12faith 13in Jesus Christ for 14all those 15who believe; for 16there is no distinction, 23for all 1718have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24being justified as a gift 19by His grace through 20the redemption which is in Christ Jesus, 25whom God displayed publicly as 21a 22propitiation 2324in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, 25because in God’s merciful 26restraint He 27let the sins previously committed go unpunished; 26for the demonstration, that is, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who 28has faith in Jesus.
27Where then is 29boasting? It has been excluded. By 30what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith. 2831For 32we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from works 33of the Law. 29Or 34is God the God of Jews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, 30since indeed 35God 36who will justify the 37circumcised 38by faith and the 39uncircumcised through faith 40is one.
31Do we then nullify 41the Law through faith? 42Far from it! On the contrary, we 43establish the Law.
