28Howeverבְּרַ֡םbe.RamH1297,thereH383isH383aGodאֱלָ֤הּ'e.LahH426in heavenבִּשְׁמַיָּא֙bish.mai.Ya'H8065whoדִּ֥יdiH1768revealsגָּלֵ֣אga.Le'H1541secretsרָזִ֔יןra.ZinH7328,and He has madeH3046knownH3046to Kingלְמַלְכָּא֙le.mal.Ka'H4430Nebuchadnezzarנְבֽוּכַדְנֶצַּ֔רne.vu.khad.ne.TzarH5020whatמָ֛הmahH4101will takeH1934placeH1934in thelatterבְּאַחֲרִ֣יתbe.'a.cha.RitH320daysיוֹמַיָּ֑אyo.mai.Ya'H3118.Thisדְּנָ֥הde.NahH1836was your dreamחֶלְמָ֨ךְchel.MakhH2493and thevisionsוְחֶזְוֵ֥יve.chez.VeiH2376in your mindרֵאשָׁ֛ךְre.ShakhH7217whileon your bedמִשְׁכְּבָ֖ךְmish.ke.VakhH4903.

29As for you, O kingמַלְכָּ֗אmal.Ka'H4430, whileon your bedמִשְׁכְּבָ֣ךְmish.ke.VakhH4903your thoughtsרַעְיוֹנָךְ֙ra'.yo.noKhH7476turnedסְלִ֔קוּse.Li.kuH5559to whatמָ֛הmahH4101would takeH1934placeH1934in the futureאַחֲרֵ֣י'a.cha.ReiH311; andHe who revealsוְגָלֵ֧אve.ga.Le'H1541secretsרָזַיָּ֛אra.zai.Ya'H7328has madeH3046knownH3046to you whatמָה־mah-H4101will takeH1934placeH1934.

30But as for me, thisדְנָ֖הde.NahH1836secretרָזָ֥אra.Za'H7328has not been revealedגֱּלִ֣יge.LiH1541to me for anywisdomבְחָכְמָה֙ve.cha.khe.MahH2452residingאִיתַ֥י'i.TaiH383in me moreמִן־min-H4481thanH4481inanyכָּל־kol-H3606otherlivingחַיַּיָּ֔אchai.yai.Ya'H2417personH2417,but for the purposeדִּבְרַת֙div.RatH1701of makingיְהוֹדְע֔וּןye.hod.'UnH3046the interpretationפִשְׁרָא֙fish.Ra'H6591knownתִּנְדַּֽע׃tin.Da'H3046to the kingלְמַלְכָּ֣אle.mal.Ka'H4430,and that you may understandH3046thethoughtsוְרַעְיוֹנֵ֥יve.ra'.yo.NeiH7476of yourmindלִבְבָ֖ךְli.VakhH3825.

31“You, O kingמַלְכָּ֗אmal.Ka'H4430,were watchingחָזֵ֤הcha.ZehH2370and beholdוַאֲל֨וּva.'a.LuH431,there was a singleחַד֙chadH2298greatשַׂגִּ֔יאsa.Gi'H7690statueצְלֵ֥םtze.LemH6755;that statueצַלְמָ֨אtzal.Ma'H6755,which was largeרַ֛בravH7229andof extraordinaryיַתִּ֖ירya.TirH3493radianceוְזִיוֵ֥הּve.zi.VehH2122,was standingקָאֵ֣םka.'EmH6966in frontלְקָבְלָ֑ךְle.ka.ve.LakhH6903of you, and its appearanceוְרֵוֵ֖הּve.re.VehH7299wasawesomeדְּחִֽיל׃de.ChilH1763.

32Theheadרֵאשֵׁהּ֙re.ShehH7217of that statueצַלְמָ֗אtzal.Ma'H6755was madeof fineטָ֔בTavH2869goldדְהַ֣בde.HavH1722,its chestחֲד֥וֹהִיcha.Do.hiH2306and its armsוּדְרָע֖וֹהִיu.de.ra.'o.hiH1872of silverכְסַ֑ףkhe.SafH3702,its bellyמְע֥וֹהִיme.'o.hiH4577and its thighsוְיַרְכָתֵ֖הּve.yar.kha.TehH3410of bronzeנְחָֽשׁ׃ne.ChashH5174,

33its legsשָׁק֖וֹהִיsha.Ko.hiH8243of ironפַרְזֶ֑לfar.ZelH6523, andits feetרַגְל֕וֹהִיrag.Lo.hiH7271partlyמִנְּהֵין֙mi.ne.hinH4481of ironפַרְזֶ֔לfar.ZelH6523and partlyוּמִנְּהֵ֖יןu.mi.ne.honH4481of clayחֲסַֽף׃cha.SafH2635.

34Youcontinuedהֲוַ֗יְתָha.Vay.taH1934watchingחָזֵ֣הcha.ZehH2370untilעַ֠ד'adH5705 H1768astoneאֶ֙בֶן֙'e.venH69was brokenהִתְגְּזֶ֤רֶתhit.ge.Ze.retH1505offwithoutלָ֣אla'H3809handsבִידַ֔יִןvi.Da.yinH3028,and it struckוּמְחָ֤תu.me.ChatH4223the statueלְצַלְמָא֙le.tzal.Ma'H6755on its feetרַגְל֔וֹהִיrag.Lo.hiH7271of ironפַרְזְלָ֖אfar.ze.La'H6523and clayוְחַסְפָּ֑אve.chas.Pa'H2635, andcrushedוְהַדֵּ֖קֶתve.ha.De.ketH1855them.

35Thenבֵּאדַ֣יִןbe.Da.yinH116the ironפַּרְזְלָא֩par.ze.La'H6523,the clayחַסְפָּ֨אchas.Pa'H2635,the bronzeנְחָשָׁ֜אne.cha.Sha'H5174,the silverכַּסְפָּ֣אkas.Pa'H3702,and the goldוְדַהֲבָ֗אve.da.ha.Va'H1722were crushedH1855toH1855piecesH1855allוְכָל־ve.kholH3606at the sameH2298timeH2298, and they werelike chaffכְּע֣וּרke.'UrH5784from the summerקַ֔יִטKa.yitH7007threshingH147floorsH147;and the windרוּחָ֔אru.Cha'H7308carriedוּנְשָׂ֤אu.ne.Sa'H5376them away so thatnot a traceאֲתַ֖ר'a.TarH870of them was foundהִשְׁתֲּכַ֣חhish.ta.KhachH7912.But the stoneוְאַבְנָ֣א׀ve.'av.Na'H69that struckמְחָ֣תme.ChatH4223the statueלְצַלְמָ֗אle.tzal.Ma'H6755becameH1934a greatרַ֖בravH7229mountainלְט֥וּרle.TurH2906and filledוּמְלָ֥תu.me.LatH4391the entireכָּל־kol-H3606earthאַרְעָֽא׃'ar.'A'H772.

36“Thisדְּנָ֣הde.NahH1836wasthe dreamחֶלְמָ֔אchel.Ma'H2493; and nowwe will tellנֵאמַ֥רne.MarH560its interpretationוּפִשְׁרֵ֖הּu.fish.RehH6591beforeקֳדָם־ko.dom-H6925the kingמַלְכָּֽא׃mal.Ka'H4430.

37You, O kingמַלְכָּ֔אmal.Ka'H4430, are thekingמֶ֖לֶךְMe.lekhH4430of kingsמַלְכַיָּ֑אmal.khai.Ya'H4430,to whomדִּ֚יdiH1768the Godאֱלָ֣הּ'e.LahH426of heavenשְׁמַיָּ֔אshe.mai.Ya'H8065has givenיְהַב־ye.hav-H3052thekingdomמַלְכוּתָ֥אmal.khu.Ta'H4437, thepowerחִסְנָ֛אchis.Na'H2632,the strengthוְתָקְפָּ֥אve.ta.ke.Pa'H8632,and the honorוִֽיקָרָ֖אvi.ka.Ra'H3367;

38and whereverוּבְכָל־u.ve.Khol-H3606 H1768the sonsH1123of mankindאֲ֠נָשָׁא'A.na.sha'H606liveדָֽיְרִ֣יןda.'a.rinH1753, or theanimalsחֵיוַ֨תchei.VatH2423of the fieldבָּרָ֤אba.Ra'H1251,or the birdsוְעוֹף־ve.'of-H5776of the skyשְׁמַיָּא֙she.mai.Ya'H8065,He has handedבִּידָ֔ךְbi.DakhH3052 H3028themoverH3052to you and has made you rulerוְהַשְׁלְטָ֖ךְve.hash.le.TakhH7981over them allבְּכָלְּה֑וֹןbe.kha.le.HonH3606.You are the headרֵאשָׁ֖הre.Shah'H7217of goldדַהֲבָֽא׃da.ha.Va'H1722.

39And afterוּבָתְרָ֗ךְu.va.te.RakhH870you anotherH321kingdomמַלְכ֥וּmal.KhuH4437will ariseתְּק֛וּםte.KumH6966inferiorאֲרַ֣עא'a.Ra'H772to you, then anotherH321thirdתְלִיתָאָ֤הte.li.ta.yaH8523kingdomוּמַלְכ֨וּu.mal.KhuH4437of bronzeנְחָשָׁ֔אne.cha.Sha'H5174,whichH1768will ruleתִשְׁלַ֖טtish.LatH7981over allבְּכָל־be.kholH3606the earthאַרְעָֽא׃'ar.'A'H772.

40Then there will be afourthרְבִ֣יעָאָ֔הre.vi.'a.yahH7244kingdomוּמַלְכוּ֙u.mal.KhuH4437as strongתַקִּיפָ֖הta.ki.FahH8624as ironכְּפַרְזְלָ֑אke.far.ze.La'H6523;justקֳבֵ֗לko.VelH6903 H1768as ironפַרְזְלָא֙far.ze.La'H6523smashesמְהַדֵּ֤קme.ha.DekH1855and crushesוְחָשֵׁל֙ve.cha.ShelH2827everythingכֹּ֔לָּאKo.la'H3606,so, like ironוּֽכְפַרְזְלָ֛אu.khe.far.ze.La'H6523that crushesמְרָעַ֥עme.ra.'A'H7490,it will smashתַּדִּ֥קta.DikH1855and crushוְתֵרֹֽעַ׃ve.te.Ro.a'H7490allכָּל־kol-H3606theseאִלֵּ֖ין'i.LeinH459things.
