6So Amnonאַמְנ֖וֹן'am.NonH550layH7901downוַיִּשְׁכַּ֥בvai.yish.KavH7901and pretendedH2470toH2470beH2470illH2470;when the kingהַמֶּ֜לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428cameוַיָּבֹ֨אvai.ya.Vo'H935to seeלִרְאֹת֗וֹlir.'o.ToH7200him, Amnonאַמְנ֤וֹן'am.NonH550saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to the kingהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428, “Pleaseנָ֞אna'H4994have my sisterאֲחֹתִ֗י'a.cho.TiH269Tamarתָּמָ֣רta.MarH8559comeתָּֽבוֹא־ta.Vo'-H935andmakeוּתְלַבֵּ֤בu.te.la.BevH3823me a coupleשְׁתֵּ֣יshe.TeiH8147of pastriesלְבִב֔וֹתle.vi.VotH3834in my sightלְעֵינַי֙le.'ei.NaiH5869,so that I may eatוְאֶבְרֶ֖הve.'ev.RehH1262from her handמִיָּדָֽהּ׃mi.ya.DahH3027.”

7Then Davidדָּוִ֛דda.VidH1732sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֥חvai.yish.LachH7971a messengerto the houseהַבַּ֣יְתָהha.Bay.tahH1004for Tamarתָּמָ֖רta.MarH8559,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, “Goלְכִ֣יle.KhiH1980nowנָ֗אNa'H4994to your brotherאָחִ֔יךְ'a.ChikhH251Amnon’sאַמְנ֣וֹן'am.NonH550houseבֵּ֚יתbeitH1004,and prepareוַעֲשִׂי־va.'a.si-H6213foodהַבִּרְיָֽה׃ha.bir.YahH1279for him.”

8So Tamarתָּמָ֗רta.MarH8559wentוַתֵּ֣לֶךְva.Te.lekhH1980to her brotherאָחִ֖יהָ'a.Chi.haH251Amnon’sאַמְנ֥וֹן'am.NonH550houseבֵּ֛יתbeitH1004,and he was lyingשֹׁכֵ֑בsho.KhevH7901in bed.And she tookוַתִּקַּ֨חva.ti.KachH3947doughהַבָּצֵ֤קha.ba.TzekH1217,kneadedוַתָּ֙לָשׁ֙va.ta.lo.oshH3888it,madeH3823pastriesH3823in his sightלְעֵינָ֔יוle.'ei.NavH5869,and bakedוַתְּבַשֵּׁ֖לva.te.va.ShelH1310the pastriesהַלְּבִבֽוֹת׃ha.le.vi.VotH3834.

9Then she tookוַתִּקַּ֤חva.ti.KachH3947the trayהַמַּשְׂרֵת֙ha.mas.RetH4958and servedוַתִּצֹ֣קva.ti.TzokH3332themto him, but he refusedוַיְמָאֵ֖ןvay.ma.'EnH3985to eatלֶאֱכ֑וֹלle.'e.KholH398.And Amnonאַמְנ֗וֹן'am.NonH550saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Have everyoneכָל־ אִישׁ֙khol- 'ishH3605 H376leaveהוֹצִ֤יאוּho.Tzi.'uH3318me.” So everyoneכָל־ אִ֖ישׁkhol- 'ishH3605 H376leftוַיֵּצְא֥וּvai.ye.tze.'UH3318him.
