15He saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Blessedבָּר֤וּךְba.RukhH1288be the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,whoאֲשֶׁר֙'a.SherH834spokeדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696with His mouthבְּפִ֔יוbe.FivH6310to my fatherאָבִ֑י'a.ViH1Davidדָּוִ֣דda.VidH1732,and fulfilledמִלֵּ֖אmi.Le'H4390itwith His handsוּבְיָד֥וֹu.ve.ya.DoH3027,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

16‘Sinceמִן־min-H4480the dayהַיּ֗וֹםhai.YomH3117that I broughtהוֹצֵ֜אתִיho.Tze.tiH3318My peopleעַמִּ֣י'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֮Yis.ra.'ElH3478from Egyptמִמִּצְרַיִם֒mi.mitz.ra.YimH4714,I did not chooseבָחַ֣רְתִּיva.Char.tiH977a cityבְעִ֗ירve.'IrH5892out of allמִכֹּל֙mi.KolH3605the tribesשִׁבְטֵ֣יshiv.TeiH7626of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478in whichto buildלִבְנ֣וֹתliv.NotH1129a houseבַּ֔יִתBa.yitH1004so thatMy nameשְׁמִ֖יshe.MiH8034would be thereשָׁ֑םShamH8033, butI choseוָאֶבְחַ֣רva.'ev.CharH977Davidבְּדָוִ֔דbe.da.VidH1732to be overעַל־'al-H5921My peopleעַמִּ֥י'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.’

17Now it wasin the heartלְבַ֖בle.VavH3824of my fatherאָבִ֑י'a.ViH1Davidדָּוִ֣דda.VidH1732to buildלִבְנ֣וֹתliv.NotH1129a houseבַּ֔יִתBa.yitH1004for the nameלְשֵׁ֥םle.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

18But the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to my fatherאָבִ֔י'a.ViH1Davidדָּוִ֣דda.VidH1732, ‘Becauseיַ֗עַן אֲשֶׁ֤רYa.'an 'a.SherH3282 H834it wasin your heartלְבָ֣בְךָ֔le.Va.ve.khaH3824to buildלִבְנ֥וֹתliv.NotH1129a houseבַּ֖יִתBa.yitH1004for My nameלִשְׁמִ֑יlish.MiH8034,you didH2895wellהֱטִיבֹ֔תָhe.ti.Vo.taH2895that it wasin your heartלְבָבֶֽךָ׃le.va.Ve.khaH3824.

19NeverthelessH7534you shall not buildתִבְנֶ֖הtiv.NehH1129the houseהַבָּ֑יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,but your sonבִּנְךָ֙bin.KhaH1121whowill be bornהַיֹּצֵ֣א מֵחֲלָצֶ֔יךָhai.yo.Tze' me.cha.la.Tzei.khaH3318 H2504to you, he will buildיִבְנֶ֥הyiv.NehH1129the houseהַבַּ֖יִתha.Ba.yitH1004for My nameלִשְׁמִֽי׃lish.MiH8034.’

20Now the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068has fulfilledוַיָּ֣קֶםvai.Ya.kemH6965His wordדְּבָר֖וֹde.va.RoH1697whichH834He spokeדִּבֵּ֑רdi.BerH1696; forI have risenוָאָקֻ֡םva.'a.KumH6965inH8478placeתַּחַת֩ta.ChatH8478ofH8478my fatherאָבִ֜י'a.ViH1Davidדָּוִ֨דda.VidH1732and I sitוָאֵשֵׁ֣בva.'e.ShevH3427on the throneכִּסֵּ֣אki.Se'H3678of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068promisedדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696,and I have builtוָאֶבְנֶ֣הva.'ev.NehH1129the houseהַבַּ֔יִתha.Ba.yitH1004for the nameלְשֵׁ֥םle.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

21And thereH8033I have setוָאָשִׂ֨םva.'a.SimH7760a placeמָקוֹם֙ma.kOmH4725for the arkלָֽאָר֔וֹןla.'a.RonH727,in whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834is the covenantבְּרִ֣יתbe.RitH1285of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,whichאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834He madeכָּרַת֙ka.RatH3772with our fathersאֲבֹתֵ֔ינוּ'a.vo.Tei.nuH1when He broughtH3318them outH3318of the landמֵאֶ֥רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃ סmitz.Ra.yimH4714.”

22ThenSolomonשְׁלֹמֹ֗הshe.lo.MohH8010stoodוַיַּעֲמֹ֣דvai.ya.'a.ModH5975beforeלִפְנֵי֙lif.NeiH6440the altarמִזְבַּ֣חmiz.BachH4196of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068in the presenceנֶ֖גֶדNe.gedH5048of allכָּל־kol-H3605the assemblyקְהַ֣לke.HalH6951of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478, and hespreadוַיִּפְרֹ֥שׂvai.yif.RosH6566outH6566his handsכַּפָּ֖יוka.PavH3709toward heavenהַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ha.sha.Ma.yimH8064.

23And he saidוַיֹּאמַ֗רvai.yo.MarH559, “Lordיְהוָ֞הYah.wehH3068,Godאֱלֹהֵ֤י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478,thereH369isH369noH369Godאֱלֹהִ֔ים'E.lo.HimH430likeכָּמ֣וֹךָka.Mo.khaH3644You in heavenבַּשָּׁמַ֣יִםba.sha.Ma.yimH8064aboveמִמַּ֔עַלmi.Ma.'alH4480 H4605or on earthהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776beneathמִתָּ֑חַתmi.Ta.chatH4480 H8478,keepingשֹׁמֵ֤רsho.MerH8104the covenantהַבְּרִית֙ha.be.RitH1285and showingfaithfulnessוְֽהַחֶ֔סֶדve.ha.Che.sedH2617to Your servantsלַעֲבָדֶ֕יךָla.'a.va.Dei.khaH5650who walkהַהֹלְכִ֥יםha.ho.le.KhimH1980beforeלְפָנֶ֖יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440You with allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605their heartלִבָּֽם׃li.BamH3820,

24You whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834have keptשָׁמַ֗רְתָּsha.Mar.taH8104with Your servantלְעַבְדְּךָ֙le.'av.de.KhaH5650,my fatherאָבִ֔י'a.ViH1Davidדָּוִ֣דda.VidH1732,that whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834Youpromisedדִּבַּ֖רְתָּdi.Bar.taH1696him; You have spokenוַתְּדַבֵּ֥רva.te.da.BerH1696with Your mouthבְּפִ֛יךָbe.Fi.khaH6310and have fulfilledמִלֵּ֖אתָmi.Le.taH4390it with Your handוּבְיָדְךָ֥u.ve.ya.de.KhaH3027, as it isthisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088dayכַּיּ֥וֹםkai.YomH3117.
