12And when Ben-hadadheardכִּשְׁמֹ֙עַ֙kish.Mo.a'H8085thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088messageהַדָּבָ֣רha.da.VarH1697, whilehe was drinkingשֹׁתֶ֛הsho.TehH8354with the kingsוְהַמְּלָכִ֖יםve.ha.me.la.KhimH4428in thetemporaryH5521sheltersH5521,he saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to his servantsעֲבָדָיו֙'a.va.DavH5650, “TakeH7760yourpositionsH7760.”So they tookH7760theirpositionsH7760againstעַל־'al-H5921the cityהָעִֽיר׃ha.'IrH5892.

13Now beholdH2009,a prophetנָבִ֣יאna.Vi'H5030approachedנִגַּשׁ֮ni.GashH5066Ahabאַחְאָ֣ב'ach.'AvH256kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֒Yis.ra.'ElH3478,and saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: ‘Have you seenהְֽרָאִ֔יתָhe.ra.'I.taH7200allכָּל־kol-H3605thisהַזֶּ֑הha.ZehH2088greatהַגָּד֖וֹלha.ga.DolH1419multitudeהֶהָמ֥וֹןhe.ha.MonH1995?BeholdH2009,I am going to handבְיָֽדְךָ֙ve.ya.de.KhaH5414 H3027them overH5414to you todayהַיּ֔וֹםhai.YomH3117, andyou shall knowוְיָדַעְתָּ֖ve.ya.da'.TaH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.’”

14But Ahabאַחְאָב֙'ach.'AvH256saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “By whomבְּמִ֔יbe.MiH4310?”So he saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559, “The Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559thisכֹּֽה־koh-H3541: ‘By the youngבְּנַעֲרֵ֖יbe.na.'a.ReiH5288menH5288of the leadersשָׂרֵ֣יsa.ReiH8269of the provincesהַמְּדִינ֑וֹתha.me.di.NotH4082.’”Then he saidוַיֹּ֛אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Whoמִֽי־mi-H4310will beginיֶאְסֹ֥רye'.SorH631the battleהַמִּלְחָמָ֖הha.mil.cha.MahH4421?”And he saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “You will.”

15So he musteredוַיִּפְקֹ֗דvai.yif.KodH6485the youngנַעֲרֵי֙na.'a.ReiH5288menH5288of the leadersשָׂרֵ֣יsa.ReiH8269of the provincesהַמְּדִינ֔וֹתha.me.di.NotH4082,and there were 232מָאתַ֖יִם שְׁנַ֣יִם וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֑יםma.Ta.yim she.Na.yim u.she.lo.ShimH3967 H8147 H7970;and afterוְאַחֲרֵיהֶ֗םve.'a.cha.rei.HemH310them he musteredפָּקַ֧דpa.KadH6485allכָּל־kol-H3605the peopleהָעָ֛םha.'AmH5971,allכָּל־kol-H3605the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478:sevenשִׁבְעַ֥תshiv.'AtH7651thousandאֲלָפִֽים׃'a.la.FimH505.

16They wentH3318outH3318at noonבַּֽצָּהֳרָ֑יִםba.tzo.ho.Ra.yimH6672, whileBen-hadadH1130was drinkingשֹׁתֶ֨הsho.TehH8354himself drunkשִׁכּ֜וֹרshi.KorH7910in thetemporaryH5521sheltersH5521with the thirty-twoשְׁלֹשִֽׁים־ וּשְׁנַ֥יִםshe.lo.shim- u.she.Na.yimH7970 H8147kingsH4428who were helpingעֹזֵ֥ר'o.ZerH5826him.
