13When Elijahאֵלִיָּ֗הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452heardכִּשְׁמֹ֣עַkish.Mo.a'H8085it,he wrappedוַיָּ֤לֶטvai.Ya.letH3874his faceפָּנָיו֙pa.NavH6440in his cloakבְּאַדַּרְתּ֔וֹbe.'a.dar.ToH155and wentH3318outH3318and stoodוַֽיַּעֲמֹ֖דvai.ya.'a.ModH5975in the entranceפֶּ֣תַחPe.tachH6607of the caveהַמְּעָרָ֑הha.me.'a.RahH4631.And beholdוְהִנֵּ֤הve.hi.NehH2009,a voiceק֔וֹלKolH6963cameto him and saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Whatמַה־mah-H4100are you doing hereפֹ֖הfohH6311,Elijahאֵלִיָּֽהוּ׃'e.li.Ya.huH452?”

14Then he saidוַיֹּאמֶר֩vai.yo.MerH559, “I have beenH7065veryH7065zealousH7065for the Lordלַיהוָ֣ה׀la.Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of armiesצְבָא֗וֹתtze.va.'otH6635;for the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478have abandonedעָזְב֤וּ'a.ze.VuH5800Your covenantבְרִֽיתְךָ֙ve.ri.te.KhaH1285,tornהָרָ֔סוּha.Ra.suH2040downH2040Your altarsמִזְבְּחֹתֶ֣יךָmiz.be.cho.Tei.khaH4196,and killedהָרְג֣וּha.re.GuH2026Your prophetsנְבִיאֶ֖יךָne.vi.'Ei.khaH5030with the swordבֶחָ֑רֶבve.Cha.revH2719.And I aloneלְבַדִּ֔יle.va.DiH905am leftוָאִוָּתֵ֤רva.'i.va.TerH3498;and they have soughtוַיְבַקְשׁ֥וּvay.vak.ShuH1245to takeלְקַחְתָּֽהּ׃ סle.kach.TahH3947my lifeנַפְשִׁ֖יnaf.ShiH5315.”

15The Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to him, “Goלֵ֛ךְlekhH1980,returnשׁ֥וּבshuvH7725on your wayלְדַרְכְּךָ֖le.dar.ke.KhaH1870to the wildernessמִדְבַּ֣רָהmid.Ba.rahH4057of Damascusדַמָּ֑שֶׂקda.Ma.sekH1834;and when you have arrivedוּבָ֗אתָu.Va.taH935,you shall anointוּמָשַׁחְתָּ֧u.ma.shach.TaH4886Hazaelחֲזָאֵ֛לcha.za.'ElH2371kingלְמֶ֖לֶךְle.Me.lekhH4428overעַל־'al-H5921Aramאֲרָֽם׃'a.RamH758.

16You shall also anointתִּמְשַׁ֥חtim.ShachH4886Jehuיֵה֣וּאye.Hu'H3058the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Nimshiנִמְשִׁ֔יnim.ShiH5250kingלְמֶ֖לֶךְle.Me.lekhH4428overעַל־'al-H5921Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478;and you shall anointתִּמְשַׁ֥חtim.ShachH4886Elishaאֱלִישָׁ֤ע'e.li.Sha'H477the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Shaphatשָׁפָט֙sha.FatH8202of Abel-meholahH65as prophetלְנָבִ֖יאle.na.Vi'H5030inH8478your placeתַּחְתֶּֽיךָ׃tach.Tei.khaH8478.

17And it shall comeH1961aboutH1961that theone who escapesהַנִּמְלָ֛טha.nim.LatH4422from the swordמֵחֶ֥רֶבme.Che.revH2719of Hazaelחֲזָאֵ֖לcha.za.'ElH2371,Jehuיֵה֑וּאye.Hu'H3058shall putיָמִ֣יתya.MitH4191toH4191deathיָמִ֥יתya.MitH4191,and the one who escapesוְהַנִּמְלָ֛טve.ha.nim.LatH4422from the swordמֵחֶ֥רֶבme.Che.revH2719of Jehuיֵה֖וּאye.Hu'H3058,Elishaאֱלִישָֽׁע׃'e.li.Sha'H477shall putH4191toH4191deathH4191.

18Yet I will leaveוְהִשְׁאַרְתִּ֥יve.hish.'ar.TiH7604sevenשִׁבְעַ֣תshiv.'AtH7651thousandאֲלָפִ֑ים'a.la.FimH505in Israelבְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לve.Yis.ra.'ElH3478,allכָּל־kol-H3605the kneesהַבִּרְכַּ֗יִםha.bir.Ka.yimH1290that have not bowedכָֽרְעוּ֙kha.re.'UH3766to Baalלַבַּ֔עַלla.Ba.'alH1168and everyוְכָ֨ל־ve.kholH3605mouthהַפֶּ֔הha.PehH6310that has notkissedנָשַׁ֖קna.ShakH5401him.”
