Isaiah 45:5-25

5I am the Lord, and 1there is no one else; 2There is no God except Me. I will 34arm you, though you have not known Me,6So that 5people may know from the rising to the setting of the sun That there is 6no one besides Me. I am the Lord, and there is no one else,7The One 7forming light and 8creating darkness, Causing 9well-being and 10creating disaster; I am the Lord who does all these things.

8“11Drip down, heavens, from above, And let the clouds pour down righteousness; Let the 12earth open up and salvation bear fruit, 13And righteousness sprout with it. I, the Lord, have created it.

9“Woe to the one who 14quarrels with 15his Maker-- A piece of pottery 16among the other earthenware pottery pieces! Will the 17clay say to the 18potter, ‘What are you doing?’ Or the thing you are making say, ‘He has no hands’?10Woe to him who says to a father, ‘What are you fathering?’ Or to a woman, ‘To what are you 19giving birth?’”

11This is what the 20Lord says, the Holy One of Israel and 21his 22Maker: “2324Ask Me about the things to come 25concerning My 26sons, And you shall commit to Me 27the work of My hands.12It is I who 28made the earth, and created mankind upon it. I 29stretched out the heavens with My hands, And I 30ordained 31all their 32lights.13I have stirred him in 33righteousness, And I will 34make all his ways smooth. He will 35build My city and let My exiles go 36free, Without any payment or reward,” says the Lord of armies.

14This is what the Lord says: “The 37products of 38Egypt and the merchandise of 3940Cush And the Sabeans, men of stature, Will 41come over to you and will be yours; They will walk behind you, they will come over in 42chains And will 43bow down to you; They will plead with you: ‘4445God certainly is 46with you, and 47there is no one else, No other God.’”15Truly, You are a God who 48hides Himself, God of Israel, 49Savior!16They will be 50put to shame and even humiliated, all of them; The 51manufacturers of idols will go away together in humiliation.17Israel has been saved by the Lord With an 52everlasting salvation; You 53will not be put to shame or humiliated To all eternity.

18For this is what the Lord says, He who 54created the heavens (He is the God who 55formed the earth and made it, He established it and did not create it 56as a 57waste place, but formed it to be 58inhabited): “I am the Lord, and 59there is no one else.1960I have not spoken in secret, In 61some dark land; I did not say to the 6263offspring of Jacob, ‘64Seek Me in 65a wasteland’; I, the Lord, 66speak righteousness, 67Declaring things that are right.

20“68Gather yourselves and come; Come together, you survivors of the nations! 69They have no knowledge, Who 70carry around 71their wooden idol And 72pray to a god who cannot save.2173Declare and present your case; Indeed, let them consult together. 74Who has announced this long ago? Who has long since declared it? Is it not I, the Lord? And there is 75no other God besides Me, A righteous God and a 76Savior; There is none except Me.2277Turn to Me and 78be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other.2379I have sworn by Myself; The 80word has gone out from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me 81every knee will bow, every tongue will 82swear allegiance.24They will say of Me, ‘Only 83in the Lord are righteousness and strength.’ People will come to Him, And 84all who were angry at Him will be put to shame.25In the Lord all the offspring of Israel Will be 85justified and will 86boast.”
