Numbers 9:1-14
1Thus the LordH3068 spokeH1696 to MosesH4872 in the wildernessH4057 of SinaiH5514, in 1the firstH7223 monthH2320 of the secondH8145 yearH8141 after they had comeH3318 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, sayingH559, 2“Now, let the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 observeH6213 the PassoverH6453 at 2its appointedH4150 timeH4150. 3On the fourteenthH702H6240 dayH3117 of thisH2088 monthH2320, 3at twilightH6153, you shall observeH6213 it at its appointedH4150 timeH4150; you shall observeH6213 it according to allH3605 its statutesH2708 and according to allH3605 its ordinancesH4941.” 4So MosesH4872 4toldH1696 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 to observeH6213 the PassoverH6453. 55They observedH6213 the PassoverH6453 in the firstH7223 month, on the fourteenthH702H6240 dayH3117 of the monthH2320, at twilightH6153, in the wildernessH4057 of SinaiH5514; 6according to allH3605 that the LordH3068 had commandedH6680 MosesH4872, soH3651 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 didH6213. 6But there were some menH376 whoH834 were 7uncleanH2931 because of the 8deadH5315 personH5315, so that they couldH3201 not observeH6213 PassoverH6453 on that dayH3117; so 9they cameH7126 beforeH6440 MosesH4872 and AaronH175 on that dayH3117. 7ThoseH1992 menH376 saidH559 to him, “Though we are uncleanH2931 because of the 10deadH5315 personH5315, whyH4100 are we restrainedH1639 from presentingH7126 the offeringH7133 of the LordH3068 at its appointedH4150 timeH4150 amongH8432 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478?” 8MosesH4872 therefore saidH559 to them, “1112WaitH5975, and I will listenH8085 to whatH4100 the LordH3068 will commandH6680 concerning you.”
9Then the LordH3068 spokeH1696 to MosesH4872, sayingH559, 10“SpeakH1696 to the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559, ‘IfH3588 anyH376 oneH376 of you orH176 of your generationsH1755 becomesH1961 uncleanH2931 because of a dead 13personH5315, orH176 is on a distantH7350 journeyH1870, he may, however, observeH6213 the PassoverH6453 to the LordH3068. 11In the secondH8145 monthH2320 on the 14fourteenthH702H6240 dayH3117 at twilightH6153, they shall observeH6213 it; they 15shall eatH398 it with unleavenedH4682 breadH4682 and bitterH4844 herbsH4844. 12They 16shall leaveH7604 noneH3808 of it untilH5704 morningH1242, 17norH3808 breakH7665 a boneH6106 of it; according to allH3605 the statuteH2708 of the PassoverH6453 they shall observeH6213 it. 1318But the manH376 whoH834 is cleanH2889 and is not on a journeyH1870, and yet 19neglectsH2308 to observeH6213 the PassoverH6453, that 20personH5315 shall then be cutH3772 offH3772 from his peopleH5971, for he did not presentH7126 the offeringH7133 of the LordH3068 at its appointedH4150 timeH4150. That manH376 21will bearH5375 his sinH2399. 1422IfH3588 an alienH1616 sojournsH1481 amongH854 you and 23observesH6213 the PassoverH6453 to the LordH3068, according to the statuteH2708 of the PassoverH6453 and according to its ordinanceH4941, soH3651 he shall doH6213; you shall haveH1961 24oneH259 statuteH2708, both for the alienH1616 and for the nativeH249 of the landH776.’”
