Ezekiel 3:1-11
1Then He saidH559 to me, “SonH1121 of manH120, eatH398 whatH834 you findH4672; 1eatH398 thisH2088 scrollH4039, and goH1980, speakH1696 to the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478.” 2So I 2openedH6605 my mouthH6310, and He fedH398 me thisH2088 scrollH4039. 3He saidH559 to me, “SonH1121 of manH120, feedH398 your stomachH990 and 3fillH4390 your 4bodyH4578 with thisH2088 scrollH4039 whichH834 I am givingH5414 you.” Then I 5ateH398 it, and it was sweetH4966 as 6honeyH1706 in my mouthH6310.
4Then He saidH559 to me, “SonH1121 of manH120, 7goH1980H935 to the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 and speakH1696 with My wordsH1697 to them. 5For 8you are not being sentH7971 to a peopleH5971 of 910unintelligibleH6012 speechH8193 or difficultH3515 languageH3956, but to the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, 6norH3808 to manyH7227 peoplesH5971 of 11unintelligibleH6012 speechH8193 or difficultH3515 languageH3956, whoseH834 wordsH1697 you cannotH3808 understandH8085. 12But I have sentH7971 you to them 13who should listenH8085 to you; 7yet the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 will not be willingH14 to listenH8085 to you, sinceH3588 they are 14not willingH14 to listenH8085 to Me. SurelyH3588 the wholeH3605 houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 is 15stubbornH2389H4696 and obstinateH7186H3820. 8BeholdH2009, I have madeH5414 your faceH6440 as hardH2389 as their facesH6440 and your foreheadH4696 as hardH2389 as their foreheadsH4696. 9Like 16emeryH8068 harderH2389 thanH4480 flintH6864 I have madeH5414 your foreheadH4696. Do not be afraidH3372 of them or be dismayedH2865 beforeH4480H6440 them, thoughH3588 they are a rebelliousH4805 houseH1004.” 10Moreover, He saidH559 to me, “SonH1121 of manH120, takeH3947 into your heartH3824 allH3605 My 17wordsH1697 whichH834 I will speakH1696 to you and listenH8085 18closelyH241. 1119GoH1980 to the exilesH1473, to the sonsH1121 of your peopleH5971, and speakH1696 to them and tellH559 them, whetherH518 they listenH8085 orH518 20not, ‘ThusH3541 saysH559 the LordH136 21GodH3068.’”
