2 Kings 9:25-37

25Then Jehu saidH559 to BidkarH920 his officerH7991, “TakeH5375 him up and 1castH7993 him into the 2propertyH2513 of the fieldH7704 of NabothH5022 the JezreeliteH3158, for I rememberH2142 when 3you and I were ridingH7392 togetherH6776 afterH310 AhabH256 his fatherH1, that the 4LordH3068 laidH5375 thisH2088 5oracleH4853 againstH5921 him: 26‘SurelyH518H3808 6I have seenH7200 yesterdayH570 the bloodH1818 of NabothH5022 and the bloodH1818 of his sonsH1121,’ saysH5002 the LordH3068, ‘and 7I will repayH7999 you in thisH2088 8propertyH2513,’ saysH5002 the LordH3068. NowH6258 then, takeH5375 and castH7993 him into the 9propertyH2513, according to the wordH1697 of the LordH3068.”

2710When AhaziahH274 the kingH4428 of JudahH3063 sawH7200 this, he fledH5127 by the wayH1870 of the gardenH1588 houseH1004. And JehuH3058 pursuedH7291 him and saidH559, “11ShootH5221 him tooH1571, in the chariotH4818.” So they shot him at the ascentH4608 of GurH1483, whichH834 is at 12IbleamH2991. But he fledH5127 to MegiddoH4023 and diedH4191 thereH8033. 2813Then his servantsH5650 carriedH7392 him in a chariotH7392 to JerusalemH3389 and buriedH6912 him in his graveH6900 with his fathersH1 in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732.

29Now in 14the eleventhH259H6240 yearH8141 of JoramH3141, the sonH1121 of AhabH256, AhaziahH274 becameH4427 kingH4427 overH5921 JudahH3063.

30When JehuH3058 cameH935 to JezreelH3157, JezebelH348 heardH8085 of it, and 15she paintedH7760H6320 her eyesH5869 and adornedH3190 her headH7218 and lookedH8259 out the windowH2474. 31As JehuH3058 enteredH935 the gateH8179, she saidH559, “16Is it 17wellH7965, ZimriH2174, 18your master’sH113 murdererH2026?” 32Then he liftedH5375 up his faceH6440 to the windowH2474 and saidH559, “WhoH4310 is on my sideH854? WhoH4310?” And twoH8147 or threeH7969 officialsH5631 lookedH8259 downH8259 at him. 33He saidH559, “ThrowH8058 her downH8058.” So they threwH8058 her downH8058, and someH4480 of her bloodH1818 was sprinkledH5137 on the wallH7023 and on the horsesH5483, and he trampledH7429 her under foot. 34When he cameH935 in, he ateH398 and drankH8354; and he saidH559, “SeeH6485 nowH4994 to 19thisH2088 cursedH779 womanH779 and buryH6912 her, for 20she is a king’sH4428 daughterH1323.” 35They wentH1980 to buryH6912 her, but they foundH4672 nothingH3808 moreH3588H518 of her thanH3588H518 the skullH1538 and the feetH7272 and the palmsH3709 of her handsH3027. 36Therefore they returnedH7725 and toldH5046 him. And he saidH559, “ThisH1931 is the wordH1697 of the LordH3068, whichH834 He spokeH1696 by His servantH5650 ElijahH452 the TishbiteH8664, sayingH559, ‘21In the 22propertyH2506 of JezreelH3157 the dogsH3611 shall eatH398 the fleshH1320 of JezebelH348; 37and 23the corpseH5038 of JezebelH348 will be as dungH1828 on the faceH6440 of the fieldH7704 in the 24propertyH2506 of JezreelH3157, soH834 they cannotH3808 sayH559, “ThisH2088 is JezebelH348.”’”
