2 Kings 7:6-15
6For 1the LordH136 had caused the armyH4264 of the ArameansH758 to hearH8085 a soundH6963 of chariotsH7393 and a soundH6963 of horsesH5483, even the soundH6963 of a greatH1419 armyH2428, so that they saidH559 to oneH376 anotherH251, “BeholdH2009, the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 has hiredH7936 againstH5921 us 2the kingsH4428 of the HittitesH2850 and 3the kingsH4428 of the EgyptiansH4714, to comeH935 upon us.” 7Therefore they 4aroseH6965 and fledH5127 in the twilightH5399, and leftH5800 their tentsH168 and their horsesH5483 and their donkeysH2543, even the campH4264 justH3512 as it was, and fledH5127 for their lifeH5315. 8When theseH428 lepersH6879 cameH935 to the outskirtsH7097 of the campH4264, they enteredH935 oneH259 tentH168 and ateH398 and drankH8354, and 5carriedH5375 from thereH8033 silverH3701 and goldH2091 and clothesH899, and wentH1980 and hidH2934 them; and they returnedH7725 and enteredH935 anotherH312 tentH168 and carriedH5375 from thereH8033 also, and wentH1980 and hidH2934 them.
9Then they saidH559 to oneH376 anotherH7453, “We are not doingH6213 rightH3653. ThisH2088 dayH3117 is a dayH3117 of good newsH1309, but we are keepingH2814 silentH2814; if we waitH2442 untilH5704 morningH1242 lightH216, punishmentH5771 will 6overtakeH4672 us. NowH6258 therefore comeH1980, let us goH935 and tellH5046 the king’sH4428 householdH1004.” 10So they cameH935 and calledH7121 to the gatekeepersH7778 of the cityH5892, and they toldH5046 them, sayingH559, “We cameH935 to the campH4264 of the ArameansH758, and beholdH2009, thereH369 was noH369 oneH376 thereH8033, norH369 the voiceH6963 of manH120, onlyH3588H518 the horsesH5483 tiedH631 and the donkeysH2543 tiedH631, and the tentsH168 justH3512 as they were.” 11The gatekeepersH7778 calledH7121 and toldH5046 it withinH6441 the king’sH4428 householdH1004. 12Then the kingH4428 aroseH6965 in the nightH3915 and saidH559 to his servantsH5650, “I will nowH4994 tellH5046 you whatH834 the ArameansH758 have doneH6213 to us. They knowH3045 that 7we are hungryH7457; therefore they have goneH3318 from the campH4264 8to hideH2247 themselves in the fieldH7704, sayingH559, ‘WhenH3588 they comeH3318 out of the cityH5892, we will captureH8610 them aliveH2416 and getH935 into the cityH5892.’” 13OneH259 of his servantsH5650 saidH559, “PleaseH4994, let some men takeH3947 fiveH2568 of the horsesH5483 which remainH7604, whichH834 are leftH7604 9in the city. BeholdH2009, they will be in any case like allH3605 the multitudeH1995 of IsraelH3478 whoH834 are leftH7604 in it; beholdH2009, they will be in any case like allH3605 the multitudeH1995 of IsraelH3478 whoH834 have already perishedH8552, so let us sendH7971 and seeH7200.” 14They tookH3947 therefore twoH8147 chariotsH7393 with horsesH5483, and the kingH4428 sentH7971 afterH310 the armyH4264 of the ArameansH758, sayingH559, “GoH1980 and seeH7200.” 15They wentH1980 afterH310 them to the JordanH3383, and beholdH2009, allH3605 the wayH1870 was fullH4392 of clothesH899 and equipmentH3627 whichH834 the ArameansH758 had thrownH7993 awayH7993 in their hasteH2648. Then the messengersH4397 returnedH7725 and toldH5046 the kingH4428.
