2 Kings 19:2-20

2Then he sentH7971 EliakimH471 whoH834 was overH5921 the householdH1004 with ShebnaH7644 the scribeH5613 and the eldersH2205 of the priestsH3548, 1coveredH3680 with sackclothH8242, to 2IsaiahH3470 the prophetH5030 the sonH1121 of AmozH531. 3They saidH559 to him, “ThusH3541 saysH559 HezekiahH2396, ‘ThisH2088 dayH3117 is a dayH3117 of distressH6869, rebukeH8433, and rejectionH5007; for childrenH1121 have comeH935 to birthH4866 and thereH369 is noH369 strengthH3581 to deliver. 43PerhapsH194 the LordH3068 your GodH430 will hearH8085 allH3605 the wordsH1697 of RabshakehH7262, whomH834 his masterH113 the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804 has sentH7971 4to reproachH2778 the livingH2416 GodH430, and will rebukeH3198 the wordsH1697 whichH834 the LordH3068 your GodH430 has heardH8085. Therefore, offerH5375 a prayerH8605 for 5the remnantH7611 that is leftH4672.’” 5So the servantsH5650 of KingH4428 HezekiahH2396 cameH935 to IsaiahH3470. 6IsaiahH3470 saidH559 to them, “ThusH3541 you shall sayH559 to your masterH113, ‘ThusH3541 saysH559 the LordH3068, “Do not be afraidH3372 becauseH4480H6440 of the wordsH1697 that you have heardH8085, with whichH834 the 6servantsH5288 of the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804 7have blasphemedH1442 Me. 7BeholdH2009, I will putH5414 a spiritH7307 in him so that 8he will hearH8085 a rumorH8052 and returnH7725 to his own landH776. And 9I will make him fallH5307 by the swordH2719 in his own landH776.”’”

8Then RabshakehH7262 returnedH7725 and foundH4672 the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804 fightingH3898 againstH5921 10LibnahH3841, for he had heardH8085 that 11the king had leftH5265 12LachishH3923. 9When he heardH8085 them sayH559 concerningH413 TirhakahH8640 kingH4428 of 13CushH3568, “BeholdH2009, he has comeH3318 out to fightH3898 againstH854 you,” he sentH7971 messengersH4397 againH7725 to HezekiahH2396 sayingH559, 10“ThusH3541 you shall sayH559 to HezekiahH2396 kingH4428 of 14JudahH3063, ‘Do not 15let your GodH430 in whomH834 you trustH982 deceiveH5378 you sayingH559, “16JerusalemH3389 will not be givenH5414 into the handH3027 of the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804.” 11BeholdH2009, you have heardH8085 whatH834 the kingsH4428 of AssyriaH804 have doneH6213 to allH3605 the landsH776, destroyingH2763 them completelyH2763. So will you be 17sparedH5337? 1218Did the godsH430 of 19those nationsH1471 whichH834 my fathersH1 destroyedH7843 deliverH5337 them, even 20GozanH1470 and 21HaranH2771 and RezephH7530 and 22the sonsH1121 of EdenH5729 whoH834 were in TelassarH8515? 1323WhereH335 is the kingH4428 of HamathH2574, the kingH4428 of ArpadH774, the kingH4428 of the cityH5892 of SepharvaimH5617, and of HenaH2012 and IvvahH5755?’”

14Then 24HezekiahH2396 tookH3947 the 25letterH5612 from the handH3027 of the messengersH4397 and readH7121 it, and he wentH5927 up to the houseH1004 of the LordH3068 and 26spreadH6566 it out beforeH6440 the LordH3068. 15HezekiahH2396 prayedH6419 beforeH6440 the LordH3068 and saidH559, “O LordH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, 27who are 28enthronedH3427 above the cherubimH3742, 29You are the GodH430, You aloneH905, of allH3605 the kingdomsH4467 of the earthH776. You have madeH6213 heavenH8064 and earthH776. 1630InclineH5186 Your earH241, O LordH3068, and hearH8085; 31openH6491 Your eyesH5869, O LordH3068, and seeH7200; and listenH8085 to the wordsH1697 of SennacheribH5576, whichH834 he has sentH7971 32to reproachH2778 the livingH2416 GodH430. 17TrulyH551, O LordH3068, the kingsH4428 of AssyriaH804 have devastatedH2717 the nationsH1471 and their landsH776 18and have castH5414 their godsH430 into the fireH784, 33for they were not godsH430 but the workH4639 of men’sH120 handsH3027, woodH6086 and stoneH68. So they have destroyedH6 them. 19NowH6258, O LordH3068 our GodH430, I prayH4994, deliverH3467 us from his handH3027 34that allH3605 the kingdomsH4467 of the earthH776 may knowH3045 that You aloneH905, O 35LordH3068, are GodH430.”

20Then IsaiahH3470 the sonH1121 of AmozH531 sentH7971 to HezekiahH2396 sayingH559, “ThusH3541 saysH559 the LordH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, ‘BecauseH834 you have prayedH6419 to Me aboutH413 SennacheribH5576 kingH4428 of AssyriaH804, 36I have heardH8085 you.’
