2 Kings 13:14-25
14When ElishaH477 1becameH2470 sickH2470 with the illnessH2483 of whichH834 he was to dieH4191, JoashH3060 the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 cameH3381 downH3381 to him and weptH1058 overH5921 2him and saidH559, “3My fatherH1, my fatherH1, the chariotsH7393 of IsraelH3478 and its horsemenH6571!” 15ElishaH477 saidH559 to him, “TakeH3947 a bowH7198 and arrowsH2671.” So he 4tookH3947 a bowH7198 and arrowsH2671. 16Then he saidH559 to the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, “PutH7392 your handH3027 on the bowH7198.” And he putH7392 his handH3027 on it, then ElishaH477 laidH7760 his handsH3027 on the king’sH4428 handsH3027. 17He saidH559, “OpenH6605 the windowH2474 toward the eastH6924,” and he openedH6605 it. Then ElishaH477 saidH559, “ShootH3384!” And he shotH3384. And he saidH559, “The Lord’sH3068 arrowH2671 of victoryH8668, even the arrowH2671 of victoryH8668 over AramH758; for you will 5defeatH5221 the ArameansH758 at 6AphekH663 untilH5704 you have 7destroyedH3615 them.” 18Then he saidH559, “TakeH3947 the arrowsH2671,” and he tookH3947 them. And he saidH559 to the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, “StrikeH5221 the groundH776,” and he struckH5221 it threeH7969 timesH6471 and 8stoppedH5975. 19So 9the manH376 of GodH430 was angryH7107 with him and saidH559, “You should have struckH5221 fiveH2568 orH176 sixH8337 timesH6471, thenH227 you would have struckH5221 AramH758 untilH5704 you would have 10destroyedH3615 it. But nowH6258 you shall strikeH5221 AramH758 11only threeH7969 timesH6471.”
20ElishaH477 diedH4191, and they buriedH6912 him. Now 12the bandsH1416 of the MoabitesH4124 would invadeH935 the landH776 in the springH935 of the yearH8141. 21As they were buryingH6912 a manH376, beholdH2009, they sawH7200 a maraudingH1416 bandH1416; and they castH7993 the manH376 into the graveH6913 of ElishaH477. And when the manH376 13touchedH5060 the bonesH6106 of ElishaH477 he 14revivedH2421 and stoodH6965 up on his feetH7272.
22Now 15HazaelH2371 kingH4428 of AramH758 had oppressedH3905 IsraelH3478 allH3605 the daysH3117 of JehoahazH3059. 23But the 16LordH3068 was graciousH2603 to them and 17hadH7355 compassionH7355 on them and turnedH6437 to them becauseH4616 of 18His covenantH1285 with AbrahamH85, IsaacH3327, and JacobH3290, and wouldH14 not destroyH7843 them or castH7993 them from His presenceH6440 untilH5704 nowH6258.
24When HazaelH2371 kingH4428 of AramH758 diedH4191, Ben-hadadH1130 his sonH1121 becameH4427 kingH4427 in his placeH8478. 25Then 19JehoashH3060 the sonH1121 of JehoahazH3059 tookH3947 againH7725 from the handH3027 of Ben-hadadH1130 the sonH1121 of HazaelH2371 the citiesH5892 whichH834 he hadH7355 takenH3947 in warH4421 from the handH3027 of JehoahazH3059 his fatherH1. 20ThreeH7969 timesH6471 JoashH3060 21defeatedH5221 him and recoveredH7725 the citiesH5892 of IsraelH3478.
