2 Kings 12:7-16
7Then KingH4428 JehoashH3060 calledH7121 for JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548, and for the other priestsH3548 and saidH559 to them, “WhyH4069 do you not repairH2388 the damagesH919 of the houseH1004? NowH6258 therefore takeH3947 noH408 more moneyH3701 from your acquaintancesH4378, but payH5414 it for the damagesH919 of the houseH1004.” 8So the priestsH3548 agreedH225 that they would takeH3947 noH1115 more moneyH3701 from the peopleH5971, norH1115 repairH2388 the damagesH919 of the houseH1004.
9But 1JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548 tookH3947 a chestH727 and boredH5344 a holeH2356 in its lidH1817 and putH5414 it besideH681 the altarH4196, on the rightH3225 sideH3225 as oneH376 comesH935 into the houseH1004 of the LordH3068; and the priestsH3548 who guardedH8104 the thresholdH5592 putH5414 in it allH3605 the moneyH3701 which was broughtH935 into the houseH1004 of the LordH3068. 10When they sawH7200 that there was muchH7227 moneyH3701 in the chestH727, 2the king’sH4428 scribeH5613 and the highH1419 priestH3548 cameH5927 up and tiedH6696 it in bags and countedH4487 the moneyH3701 which was foundH4672 in the houseH1004 of the LordH3068. 11They gaveH5414 the moneyH3701 which was weighedH8505 out into the handsH3027 of those who didH6213 the workH4399, who had the oversightH6485 of the houseH1004 of the LordH3068; and they 3paidH3318 it out to the carpentersH2796H6086 and the buildersH1129 who workedH6213 on the houseH1004 of the LordH3068; 12and 4to the masonsH1443 and the stonecuttersH2672H68, and for buyingH7069 timberH6086 and hewnH4274 stoneH68 to repairH2388 the damagesH919 to the houseH1004 of the LordH3068, and for allH3605 that was 5laidH3318 out for the houseH1004 to repairH2388 it. 13But 6there were not madeH6213 for the houseH1004 of the LordH3068 7silverH3701 cupsH5592, snuffersH4212, bowlsH4219, trumpetsH2689, anyH3605 vesselsH3627 of goldH2091, or vesselsH3627 of silverH3701 from the moneyH3701 which was broughtH935 into the houseH1004 of the LordH3068; 14for they gaveH5414 that to those who didH6213 the workH4399, and with it they repairedH2388 the houseH1004 of the LordH3068. 15Moreover, 8they did not requireH2803 an accountingH2803 from the menH376 into whoseH834 handH3027 they gaveH5414 the moneyH3701 to payH5414 to those who didH6213 the workH4399, for they dealtH6213 faithfullyH530. 16The 9moneyH3701 from the guiltH817 offeringsH817 and 10the moneyH3701 from the sinH2403 offeringsH2403 was not broughtH935 into the houseH1004 of the LordH3068; 11it was for the priestsH3548.
