New American Standard Bible 1995
1 Timothy 2:9-15
9LikewiseG5615, I want 1womenG1135 to adornG2885 themselvesG1438 with properG2887 clothingG2689, 2modestlyG127 and discreetlyG4997, not with braidedG4117 hairG4117 and goldG5553 orG2228 pearlsG3135 orG2228 costlyG4185 garmentsG2441,
10but ratherG235 by meansG1223 of goodG18 worksG2041, as is properG4241 for womenG1135 makingG1861 a claimG1861 to godlinessG2317.
113A womanG1135 must quietlyG2271 receiveG3129 instructionG3129 with entireG3956 submissivenessG5292.
124But I do not allowG2010 a womanG1135 to teachG1321 orG3761 exerciseG831 authorityG831 overG831 a manG435, but to remainG1510 quietG2271.
135For it was AdamG76 who was firstG4413 6createdG4111, and thenG1534 EveG2096.
14And it was not AdamG76 who was deceivedG538, but 7the womanG1135 being deceivedG1818, 8fellG1096 into transgressionG3847.
15But women will be 9preservedG4982 throughG1223 the bearingG5042 of childrenG5042 ifG1437 they continueG3306 in 10faithG4102 and loveG26 and sanctityG38 with 11self-restraintG4997.
