1“Hearשִׁמְעוּ־shim.'u-H8085thisH2088,O houseבֵּֽית־beit-H1004of Jacobיַעֲקֹ֗בya.'a.KoH3290,who are namedהַנִּקְרָאִים֙ בְּשֵׁ֣םha.nik.ra.'Im be.ShemH7121 H8034Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478And who cameH3318forthH3318from theloinsוּמִמֵּ֥יu.mi.MeiH4325of Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063, Whoswearהַֽנִּשְׁבָּעִ֣ים׀ha.nish.ba.'ImH7650by the nameבְּשֵׁ֣םbe.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068And invokeיַזְכִּ֔ירוּyaz.Ki.ruH2142the Godוּבֵאלֹהֵ֤יu.ve.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478, Butnot in truthבֶאֱמֶ֖תve.'e.MetH571norH3808inrighteousnessבִצְדָקָֽה׃vitz.da.KahH6666.

2For they callנִקְרָ֔אוּnik.Ra.'uH7121themselves afterH4480theholyהַקֹּ֙דֶשׁ֙ha.Ko.deshH6944cityמֵעִ֤ירme.'IrH5892Andleanנִסְמָ֑כוּnis.Ma.khuH5564on the Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478;The Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of hostsצְבָא֖וֹתtze.va.'otH6635is His nameשְׁמֽוֹ׃ סshe.MoH8034.

3Ideclaredהִגַּ֔דְתִּיhi.Gad.tiH5046the formerהָרִֽאשֹׁנוֹת֙ha.ri.sho.nOtH7223thingsH7223longH3975agoH3975And they wentH3318forthH3318from My mouthוּמִפִּ֥יu.mi.PiH6310,and I proclaimedוְאַשְׁמִיעֵ֑םve.'ash.mi.'EmH8085them.Suddenlyפִּתְאֹ֥םpit.'OmH6597I actedעָשִׂ֖יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213, and theycameH935to passH935.

4BecauseH4480I knowמִדַּעְתִּ֕יmi.da'.TiH3045that you areobstinateקָשֶׁ֖הka.ShehH7186, And yourneckעָרְפֶּ֔ךָ'a.re.Pe.khaH6203is an ironבַּרְזֶל֙bar.ZelH1270sinewוְגִ֤ידve.GidH1517And yourforeheadוּמִצְחֲךָ֖u.mitz.cha.KhaH4696bronzeנְחוּשָֽׁה׃ne.chu.ShahH5154,

5Therefore I declaredוָאַגִּ֤ידva.'a.GidH5046themto you longH3975agoH3975,Beforeבְּטֶ֥רֶםbe.Te.remH2962they tookH935placeH935I proclaimedהִשְׁמַעְתִּ֑יךָhish.ma'.Ti.khaH8085them to you,So that you would not sayתֹּאמַר֙to.MarH559, ‘Myidolעָצְבִּ֣י'a.tze.BiH6090has doneעָשָׂ֔ם'a.SamH6213them,And my gravenH6459imageוּפִסְלִ֥יu.fis.LiH6459and my moltenוְנִסְכִּ֖יve.nis.KiH5262imageH5262have commandedצִוָּֽם׃tzi.VamH6680them.’

6You have heardשָׁמַ֤עְתָּֽsha.Ma'.taH8085;lookחֲזֵה֙cha.ZehH2372at allכֻּלָּ֔הּku.LahH3605this.And you, will you not declareתַגִּ֑ידוּta.Gi.duH5046it?I proclaimהִשְׁמַעְתִּ֤יךָhish.ma'.Ti.khaH8085to younewחֲדָשׁוֹת֙cha.da.shOtH2319thingsH2319from thisH6258timeH6258,Even hiddenH5341thingsH5341which you have not knownיְדַעְתָּֽם׃ye.da'.TamH3045.

7They are createdנִבְרְאוּ֙niv.re.'UH1254nowעַתָּ֤ה'a.TahH6258and not longH3975agoH3975;And beforeוְלִפְנֵי־ve.lif.nei-H6440todayי֖וֹםYomH3117you have not heardשְׁמַעְתָּ֑םshe.ma'.TamH8085them,So that you will not sayתֹּאמַ֖רto.MarH559, ‘Beholdהִנֵּ֥הhi.NehH2009,I knewיְדַעְתִּֽין׃ye.da'.TinH3045them.’

8You have notheardשָׁמַ֗עְתָּsha.Ma'.taH8085,you have not knownיָדַ֔עְתָּya.Da'.taH3045.EvenH1571from longH3975agoH3975your earאָזְנֶ֑ךָ'a.ze.Ne.khaH241has not been openפִתְּחָ֣הfi.te.ChahH6605,Becauseכִּ֤יkiH3588I knewיָדַ֙עְתִּי֙ya.Da'.tiH3045that you would dealH898veryH898treacherouslyH898;And you have been calledקֹ֥רָאKo.ra'H7121arebelוּפֹשֵׁ֥עַu.fo.She.a'H6586frombirthמִבֶּ֖טֶןmi.Be.tenH990.

9For the sakeלְמַ֤עַןle.Ma.'anH4616of My nameשְׁמִי֙she.MiH8034Idelayאַאֲרִ֣יךְ'a.'a.RikhH748My wrathאַפִּ֔י'a.PiH639, And forMy praiseוּתְהִלָּתִ֖יu.te.hi.la.TiH8416I restrainאֶחֱטָם־'e.che.tom-H2413it for you,In order not to cutהַכְרִיתֶֽךָ׃hakh.ri.Te.khaH3772you offH3772.

10Beholdהִנֵּ֥הhi.NehH2009,I have refinedצְרַפְתִּ֖יךָtze.raf.Ti.khaH6884you, butnot as silverבְכָ֑סֶףve.Kha.sefH3701;I have testedבְּחַרְתִּ֖יךָbe.char.Ti.khaH977you in thefurnaceבְּכ֥וּרbe.KhurH3564of afflictionעֹֽנִי׃'O.niH6040.

11For My own sakeלְמַעֲנִ֧יle.ma.'a.NiH4616,for My own sakeלְמַעֲנִ֛יle.ma.'a.NiH4616,I will actאֶעֱשֶׂ֖ה'e.'e.SehH6213;For howאֵ֣יךְ'eikhH349can My namebe profanedיֵחָ֑לye.ChalH2490? And Mygloryוּכְבוֹדִ֖יu.khe.vo.DiH3519I will not giveאֶתֵּֽן׃ ס'e.TenH5414to anotherלְאַחֵ֥רle.'a.CherH312.

12“Listenשְׁמַ֤עshe.Ma'H8085to Me, O Jacobיַֽעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290,even Israelוְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לve.Yis.ra.'ElH3478whom I calledמְקֹרָאִ֑יme.ko.ra.'IH7121; I am He,I am the firstרִאשׁ֔וֹןri.ShonH7223,I am alsoאַ֖ף'afH637the lastאַחֲרֽוֹן׃'a.cha.RonH314.

13Surelyאַף־'af-H637My handיָדִי֙ya.DiH3027foundedיָ֣סְדָהYa.se.dahH3245the earthאֶ֔רֶץ'E.retzH776,And My rightוִֽימִינִ֖יvi.mi.NiH3225handH3225spreadטִפְּחָ֣הti.pe.ChahH2946out the heavensשָׁמָ֑יִםsha.Ma.yimH8064; When Icallקֹרֵ֥אko.Re'H7121to them, they standיַעַמְד֥וּya.'am.DuH5975togetherH3164.

14Assembleהִקָּבְצ֤וּhi.ka.ve.TzuH6908,allכֻלְּכֶם֙khu.le.KhemH3605of you, and listenוּֽשֲׁמָ֔עוּu.sha.Ma.'uH8085!Whoמִ֥יmiH4310among them has declaredהִגִּ֣ידhi.GidH5046theseH428thingsאֵ֑לֶּה'E.lehH428?The Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068lovesאֲהֵב֔וֹ'a.he.VoH157him; he willcarryיַעֲשֶׂ֤הya.'a.SehH6213out His goodH2656pleasureחֶפְצוֹ֙chef.TzoH2656onBabylonבְּבָבֶ֔לbe.va.VelH894,And His armוּזְרֹע֖וֹu.ze.ro.'OH2220will be againstthe Chaldeansכַּשְׂדִּֽים׃kas.DimH3778.

15I, even I, have spokenדִּבַּ֖רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696;indeedאַף־'af-H637I havecalledקְרָאתִ֑יוke.ra.TivH7121him,I have broughtהֲבִיאֹתִ֖יוha.vi.'o.TivH935him, and He will makeוְהִצְלִ֥יחַve.hitz.Li.achH6743his waysדַּרְכּֽוֹ׃dar.KoH1870successfulH6743.

16ComeH7126nearH7126to Me, listenשִׁמְעוּ־shim.'u-H8085to thisH2088:From the firstמֵרֹאשׁ֙me.roShH7218I havenot spokenדִּבַּ֔רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696in secretבַּסֵּ֣תֶרba.Se.terH5643,From the timeמֵעֵ֥תme.'EtH6256it tookH1961placeH1961,I was thereשָׁ֣םshamH8033.And nowוְעַתָּ֗הve.'a.TahH6258the Lordאֲדֹנָ֧י'a.do.NaiH136GodH3068has sentשְׁלָחַ֖נִיshe.la.Cha.niH7971Me, and His Spiritוְרוּחֽוֹ׃ פve.ru.ChoH7307.”

17Thusכֹּֽה־koh-H3541saysאָמַ֧ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068, yourRedeemerגֹּאַלְךָ֖go.'al.KhaH1350,the Holyקְד֣וֹשׁke.Do.oshH6918OneH6918of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478, “I am the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙'e.lo.Hei.khaH430,who teachesמְלַמֶּדְךָ֣me.la.med.KhaH3925you to profitלְהוֹעִ֔ילle.ho.'IlH3276, Wholeadsמַדְרִֽיכֲךָ֖mad.ri.kha.KhaH1869you in the wayבְּדֶ֥רֶךְbe.De.rekhH1870you should goתֵּלֵֽךְ׃te.LekhH1980.

18IfH3863onlyH3863you hadpaidH7181attentionהִקְשַׁ֖בְתָּhik.Shav.taH7181to My commandmentsלְמִצְוֹתָ֑יle.mitz.vo.TaiH4687! Then yourwell-beingשְׁלוֹמֶ֔ךָshe.lo.Me.khaH7965would have beenוַיְהִ֤יvay.HiH1961like a riverכַנָּהָר֙kha.na.HarH5104, And yourrighteousnessוְצִדְקָתְךָ֖ve.tzid.ka.te.ChaH6666like the wavesכְּגַלֵּ֥יke.ga.LeiH1530of the seaהַיָּֽם׃hai.YamH3220.

19Yourdescendantsזַרְעֶ֔ךָzar.'E.khaH2233would have beenוַיְהִ֤יvay.HiH1961like the sandכַחוֹל֙kha.chOlH2344, Andyour offspringוְצֶאֱצָאֵ֥י מֵעֶ֖יךָve.tze.'e.tza.'Ei me.'Ei.khaH6631 H4578like its grainsכִּמְעֹתָ֑יוkim.'o.TavH4579;Their nameשְׁמ֖וֹshe.MoH8034would neverH3808be cutיִכָּרֵ֧תyi.ka.RetH3772offH3772or destroyedיִשָּׁמֵ֛דyi.sha.MedH8045from My presenceמִלְּפָנָֽי׃mi.le.fa.NaiH6440.”

20GoH3318forthH3318from Babylonמִבָּבֶל֮mi.ba.VelH894!Fleeבִּרְח֣וּbir.ChuH1272from the Chaldeansמִכַּשְׂדִּים֒mi.kas.DimH3778!Declareהַגִּ֤ידוּha.Gi.duH5046with the soundבְּק֣וֹלbe.KolH6963ofjoyfulH7440shoutingרִנָּ֗הri.NahH7440,proclaimהַשְׁמִ֙יעוּ֙hash.Mi.'uH8085thisH2088,SendH3318it out to the endקְצֵ֣הke.TzehH7097of the earthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776;Sayאִמְר֕וּ'im.RuH559, “The Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068has redeemedגָּאַ֥לga.'AlH1350His servantעַבְדּ֥וֹav.DoH5650Jacobיַעֲקֹֽב׃ya.'a.KoH3290.”

21They did notthirstצָמְא֗וּtza.me.'UH6770when He ledהֽוֹלִיכָ֔םho.li.KhamH1980them through the desertsבָּחֳרָבוֹת֙bo.cho.ra.VotH2723. Hemade the waterמַ֥יִםMa.yimH4325flowהִזִּ֣ילhi.ZilH5140out of the rockמִצּ֖וּרmi.TzurH6697for them;He splitוַיִּ֨בְקַע־vai.Yiv.ka'-H1234the rockצ֔וּרTzurH6697andthe waterמָֽיִם׃Ma.yimH4325gushedוַיָּזֻ֖בוּvai.ya.Zu.vuH2100forth.

22“ThereH369is noH369peaceשָׁל֔וֹםsha.LomH7965for the wickedלָרְשָׁעִֽים׃ סla.re.sha.'ImH7563,”saysאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068.
