1Thusכֹּ֚הkohH3541saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, “Heavenהַשָּׁמַ֣יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064is My throneכִּסְאִ֔יkis.'IH3678and the earthוְהָאָ֖רֶץve.ha.'A.retzH776is My footstoolהֲדֹ֣ם רַגְלָ֑יha.Dom rag.LaiH1916 H7272.Whereאֵי־'ei-H335thenH2088is ahouseבַ֙יִת֙va.yitH1004you could buildתִּבְנוּ־tiv.nu-H1129for Me?And whereוְאֵי־ve.'ei-H335is a placeמָק֖וֹםma.KomH4725thatI may restמְנוּחָתִֽי׃me.nu.cha.TiH4496?

2ForMy handיָדִ֣יya.DiH3027madeעָשָׂ֔תָה'a.Sa.tahH6213allכָּל־kol-H3605theseH428thingsאֵ֙לֶּה֙'e.lehH428,Thus allכָל־khol-H3605theseH428thingsאֵ֖לֶּה'E.lehH428cameH1961into beingH1961,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068. “But to thisH2088oneזֶ֣הzehH2088I will lookאַבִּ֔יט'a.BitH5027,To him whoH6041is humbleH6041andcontriteוּנְכֵה־u.ne.kheh-H5223of spiritר֔וּחַRu.achH7307,and whoH2730tremblesH2730at My wordדְּבָרִֽי׃de.va.RiH1697.

Hypocrisy Rebuked

3“Buthe who killsשׁוֹחֵ֨טsho.ChetH7819an oxהַשּׁ֜וֹרha.ShorH7794is likeone who slaysמַכֵּה־ma.keh-H5221a manאִ֗ישׁ'IshH376;He who sacrificesזוֹבֵ֤חַzo.Ve.achH2076a lambהַשֶּׂה֙ha.SehH7716is likethe one who breaksH6202a dog’sכֶּ֔לֶבKe.levH3611neckעֹ֣רֵֽף'O.refH6202;He who offersמַעֲלֵ֤הma.'a.LehH5927a grain offeringמִנְחָה֙min.ChahH4503is like one who offersswine’sחֲזִ֔ירcha.ZirH2386bloodדַּם־dam-H1818; He whoburnsמַזְכִּ֥ירmaz.KirH2142incenseלְבֹנָ֖הle.vo.NahH3828is likethe one who blessesמְבָ֣רֵֽךְme.Va.rekhH1288an idolאָ֑וֶן'A.venH205.As they have chosenבָּֽחֲרוּ֙ba.cha.RuH977their ownwaysבְּדַרְכֵיהֶ֔םbe.dar.khei.HemH1870,And their soulנַפְשָׁ֥םnaf.ShamH5315delightsחָפֵֽצָה׃cha.Fe.tzahH2654in theirabominationsוּבְשִׁקּוּצֵיהֶ֖םu.ve.shi.ku.tzei.HemH8251,

7“Beforeבְּטֶ֥רֶםbe.Te.remH2962she travailedתָּחִ֖ילta.ChilH2342,she broughtH3205forthH3205;Beforeבְּטֶ֨רֶםbe.Te.remH2962her painחֵ֛בֶלChe.velH2256cameיָב֥וֹאya.Vo'H935,she gaveH4422birthH4422to a boyזָכָֽר׃za.KharH2145.

8Whoמִֽי־mi-H4310has heardשָׁמַ֣עsha.Ma'H8085suchH2088a thingH2088?Whoמִ֤יmiH4310has seenרָאָה֙ra.'AhH7200suchכָּאֵ֔לֶּהka.'E.lehH428things?Can a landאֶ֙רֶץ֙'e.retzH776bebornהֲי֤וּחַלha.Yu.chalH2342in oneאֶחָ֔ד'e.ChadH259dayבְּי֣וֹםbe.YomH3117?Can a nationגּ֖וֹיGoyH1471be broughtH3205forthH3205allH6471at onceאֶחָ֑ת'e.ChatH259 H6471?As soonכִּֽי־ki-H3588as Zionצִיּ֖וֹןtzi.YonH6726travailedחָ֛לָהCha.lahH2342,she alsoגַּם־gam-H1571broughtH3205forthH3205her sonsבָּנֶֽיהָ׃ba.Nei.haH1121.

10“Bejoyfulשִׂמְח֧וּsim.ChuH8055with Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֛םye.ru.sha.LimH3389and rejoiceוְגִ֥ילוּve.Gi.luH1523for her, allכָּל־kol-H3605you wholoveאֹהֲבֶ֑יהָ'o.ha.Vei.haH157her;Be exceedinglyמָשׂ֔וֹשׂma.SosH4885gladשִׂ֤ישׂוּSi.suH7797with her, allכָּל־kol-H3605you who mournהַמִּֽתְאַבְּלִ֖יםha.mit.'a.be.LimH56overעָלֶֽיהָ׃'a.Lei.haH5921her,

11That you may nurseתִּֽינְקוּ֙ti.ne.KuH3243andbe satisfiedוּשְׂבַעְתֶּ֔םu.se.va'.TemH7646with her comfortingתַּנְחֻמֶ֑יהָtan.chu.Mei.haH8575breastsמִשֹּׁ֖דmi.ShodH7699,That you may suckתָּמֹ֛צּוּta.Mo.tzuH4711and be delightedוְהִתְעַנַּגְתֶּ֖םve.hit.'a.nag.TemH6026with herbountifulמִזִּ֥יזmi.ZizH2123bosomכְּבוֹדָֽהּ׃ סke.vo.DahH3519.”

12For thusכֹ֣ה׀khohH3541saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068, “BeholdH2009,I extendנֹטֶֽה־no.teh-H5186peaceשָׁל֜וֹםsha.LomH7965to her like a riverכְּנָהָ֨רke.na.HarH5104, And thegloryכְּב֥וֹדke.VodH3519of the nationsגּוֹיִ֖םgo.YimH1471like an overflowingשׁוֹטֵ֛ףsho.TefH7857streamוּכְנַ֧חַלu.khe.Na.chalH5158; And you willbe nursedוִֽינַקְתֶּ֑םvi.nak.TemH3243, you will becarriedתִּנָּשֵׂ֔אוּti.na.Se.'uH5375on thehipצַד֙tzadH6654and fondledתְּשָׁעֳשָֽׁעוּ׃te.sho.'o.Sha.'uH8173on the kneesבִּרְכַּ֖יִםbir.Ka.yimH1290.

13As oneכְּאִ֕ישׁke.'IshH376whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834his motherאִמּ֖וֹ'i.MoH517comfortsתְּנַחֲמֶ֑נּוּte.na.cha.Me.nuH5162,soכֵּ֤ןkenH3651I willcomfortאֲנַ֣חֶמְכֶ֔ם'a.Na.chem.KhemH5162you;And you will be comfortedתְּנֻחָֽמוּ׃te.nu.Cha.muH5162in Jerusalemוּבִירֽוּשָׁלִַ֖םu.vi.ru.sha.LimH3389.”

14Then you willseeוּרְאִיתֶם֙u.re.'i.TemH7200this, and yourheartלִבְּכֶ֔םli.be.KhemH3820will be gladוְשָׂ֣שׂve.SasH7797, And yourbonesוְעַצְמוֹתֵיכֶ֖םve.'atz.mo.tei.KhemH6106will flourishתִפְרַ֑חְנָהtif.Rach.nahH6524like the newH1877grassכַּדֶּ֣שֶׁאka.De.she'H1877; And thehandיַד־yad-H3027of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068will be madeH3045knownH3045to His servantsעֲבָדָ֔יו'a.va.DavH5650, But He will beindignantוְזָעַ֖םve.za.'AmH2194towardאֶת־'et-H854His enemiesH340.

15For beholdהִנֵּ֤הhi.NehH2009,the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068will comeיָב֔וֹאya.Vo'H935infireבָּאֵ֣שׁba.'EshH784And Hischariotsמַרְכְּבֹתָ֑יוmar.ke.vo.TavH4818like the whirlwindוְכַסּוּפָ֖הve.kha.su.FahH5492,To renderלְהָשִׁ֤יבle.ha.ShivH7725His angerאַפּ֔וֹ'a.PoH639with furyבְּחֵמָה֙be.che.MahH2534,And His rebukeוְגַעֲרָת֖וֹve.ga.'a.ra.ToH1606with flamesבְּלַהֲבֵי־be.la.ha.vei-H3851of fireאֵֽשׁ׃'EshH784.

16For the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068will executeH8199judgmentנִשְׁפָּ֔טnish.PatH8199byfireבָאֵשׁ֙va.'EshH784And by Hisswordוּבְחַרְבּ֖וֹu.ve.char.BoH2719on allכָּל־kol-H3605fleshבָּשָׂ֑רba.SarH1320,And those slainחַֽלְלֵ֥יcha.LeiH2491by the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068will be manyוְרַבּ֖וּve.ra.BuH7231.

17“Those who sanctifyהַמִּתְקַדְּשִׁ֨יםha.mit.ka.de.ShimH6942and purifyוְהַמִּֽטַּהֲרִ֜יםve.ha.mi.ta.ha.RimH2891themselves to go to thegardensהַגַּנּ֗וֹתha.ga.NotH1593,Followingאַחַ֤ר'a.CharH310oneאַחַת֙'e.chadH259in the centerבַּתָּ֔וֶךְba.Ta.vekhH8432,Who eatאֹֽכְלֵי֙'o.khe.LeiH398swine’sהַחֲזִ֔ירha.cha.ZirH2386fleshבְּשַׂ֣רbe.SarH1320,detestableוְהַשֶּׁ֖קֶץve.ha.She.ketzH8263thingsH8263and miceוְהָעַכְבָּ֑רve.ha.'akh.BarH5909, Willcomeיָסֻ֖פוּya.Su.fuH5486to an endH5486altogetherH3164,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

19I will setוְשַׂמְתִּ֨יve.sam.TiH7760asignא֗וֹת'otH226among them and will sendוְשִׁלַּחְתִּ֣יve.shi.lach.TiH7971survivorsפְּ֠לֵיטִיםPe.lei.timH6412from them to the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֞םha.go.YimH1471:Tarshishתַּרְשִׁ֨ישׁtar.ShishH8659,PutH6316,Ludוְל֛וּדve.LudH3865,MeshechH4902,Tubalתֻּבַ֣לtu.ValH8422andJavanוְיָוָ֑ןve.ya.VanH3120,to the distantהָרְחֹקִ֗יםha.re.cho.KimH7350coastlandsהָאִיִּ֣יםha.'i.YimH339that have neitherלֹא־lo'-H3808heardשָׁמְע֤וּsha.me.'UH8085My fameשִׁמְעִי֙shim.'IH8088norוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808seenרָא֣וּra.'UH7200My gloryכְּבוֹדִ֔יke.vo.DiH3519. 20Then they shallbringוְהֵבִ֣יאוּve.he.Vi.'uH935allכָּל־kol-H3605your brethrenאֲחֵיכֶ֣ם'a.chei.KhemH251from allמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֣ם׀ha.go.YimH1471as a grain offeringמִנְחָ֣ה׀min.ChahH4503to the Lordלַֽיהוָ֡הla.Yah.wehH3068,on horsesבַּסּוּסִ֡יםba.su.SimH5483,in chariotsוּ֠בָרֶכֶבU.va.re.khevH7393,in littersוּבַצַּבִּ֨יםu.va.tza.BimH6632,on mulesוּבַפְּרָדִ֜יםu.va.pe.ra.DimH6505and on camelsוּבַכִּרְכָּר֗וֹתu.va.kir.ka.RotH3753, to Myholyקָדְשִׁ֛יkod.shiH6944mountainהַ֥רharH2022Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֖םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,”saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068, “justH3512as the sonsבְנֵ֨יve.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֧לYis.ra.'ElH3478bringיָבִיאוּ֩ya.vi.'UH935their grain offeringהַמִּנְחָ֛הha.min.ChahH4503in acleanטָה֖וֹרta.HorH2889vesselבִּכְלִ֥יbikh.LiH3627to the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

21I will alsoוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571takeאֶקַּ֛ח'e.KachH3947someH4480of them forpriestsלַכֹּהֲנִ֥יםla.ko.ha.NimH3548andfor Levitesלַלְוִיִּ֖םlal.vi.YimH3881,”saysאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

22“For justH3512as thenewהַ֠חֳדָשִׁיםHa.cho.da.shimH2319heavensהַשָּׁמַ֣יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064and the newהַחֲדָשָׁ֜הha.cha.da.ShahH2319earthוְהָאָ֨רֶץve.ha.'A.retzH776WhichH834I makeעֹשֶׂ֛ה'o.SehH6213will endureעֹמְדִ֥ים'o.me.DimH5975beforeלְפָנַ֖יle.fa.NaiH6440Me,” declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068, “Soכֵּ֛ןkenH3651youroffspringזַרְעֲכֶ֖םzar.'a.KhemH2233and yournameוְשִׁמְכֶֽם׃ve.shim.KhemH8034will endureיַעֲמֹ֥דya.'a.ModH5975.

23And it shall be fromnewחֹ֙דֶשׁ֙cho.deshH2320moonבְּחָדְשׁ֔וֹbe.cha.de.ShoH2320to newH2320moonH2320And from sabbathשַׁבָּ֖תsha.BatH7676to sabbathבְּשַׁבַּתּ֑וֹbe.sha.ba.ToH7676,Allכָל־khol-H3605mankindבָּשָׂ֛רba.SarH1320will comeיָב֧וֹאya.Vo'H935tobowלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֹ֥תle.hish.ta.cha.VotH7812downH7812beforeלְפָנַ֖יle.fa.NaiH6440Me,” saysאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

24“Then they will goוְיָצְא֣וּve.ya.tze.'UH3318forthH3318and lookוְרָא֔וּve.ra.'UH7200On thecorpsesבְּפִגְרֵי֙be.fig.ReiH6297of the menH376Who havetransgressedהַפֹּשְׁעִ֖יםha.po.she.'ImH6586against Me. For theirwormH8439will not dieתָמ֗וּתta.MutH4191And their fireוְאִשָּׁם֙ve.'i.ShamH784will not be quenchedתִכְבֶּ֔הtikh.BehH3518; And they will be anabhorrenceדֵרָא֖וֹןde.ra.'onH1860to allלְכָל־le.kholH3605mankindבָּשָֽׂר׃ba.SarH1320.”
