8‘Thusכֹּ֥הkohH3541saysאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068, “Becauseיַ֗עַןYa.'anH3282Moabמוֹאָב֙mo.'AvH4124and Seirוְשֵׂעִ֔ירve.se.'IrH8165sayאֲמֹ֤ר'a.MorH559, ‘Beholdהִנֵּ֥הhi.NehH2009,the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of Judahיְהוּדָֽה׃ye.hu.DahH3063is like allכְּכָֽל־ke.khal-H3605the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֖םha.go.YimH1471,’

9thereforeלָכֵן֩la.KhenH3651,beholdH2009, I am going todepriveפֹתֵ֜חַfo.Te.achH6605the flankכֶּ֤תֶףKe.tefH3802of Moabמוֹאָב֙mo.'AvH4124of itscitiesמֵהֶ֣עָרִ֔יםme.He.'a.RimH5892,of its citiesמֵֽעָרָ֖יוme.'a.RavH5892which are on itsfrontiersמִקָּצֵ֑הוּmi.ka.Tze.huH7097,the gloryצְבִ֗יtze.ViH6643of the landאֶ֚רֶץ'E.retzH776,Beth-jeshimothH1020,Baal-meonH1186andKiriathaimוְקִרְיָתָֽיְמָה׃ve.kir.ya.te.mahH7156,

10and I will giveוּנְתַתִּ֖יהָu.ne.ta.Ti.haH5414it for a possessionלְמֽוֹרָשָׁ֑הle.mo.ra.ShahH4181alongעַל־'al-H5921with the sonsלִבְנֵי־liv.nei-H1121of Ammonעַמּ֔וֹןa.MonH5983to thesonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of the eastקֶ֙דֶם֙ke.demH6924,soלְמַ֛עַןle.Ma.'anH4616that the sonsבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Ammonעַמּ֖וֹןa.MonH5983will not be rememberedתִזָּכֵ֥רti.za.KherH2142among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִֽם׃ba.go.YimH1471.

11Thus I will executeאֶעֱשֶׂ֣ה'e.'e.SehH6213judgmentsשְׁפָטִ֑יםshe.fa.TimH8201on Moabוּבְמוֹאָ֖בu.ve.mo.'AvH4124,and they will knowוְיָדְע֖וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.”

12‘Thusכֹּ֤הkohH3541saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068, “Becauseיַ֣עַןYa.'anH3282EdomH112has actedעֲשׂ֥וֹתa.SotH6213against the houseלְבֵ֣יתle.VeitH1004of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063by takingבִּנְקֹ֥םbin.KomH5358vengeanceנָקָ֖םna.KamH5359,and has incurredH816grievousH816guiltH816,and avengedוְנִקְּמ֥וּve.ni.ke.MuH5358themselves upon them,”

13thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651thusכֹּ֤הkohH3541saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068, “I will alsostretchוְנָטִ֤תִיve.na.Ti.tiH5186out My handיָדִי֙ya.DiH3027againstעַל־'al-H5921EdomH112andcutוְהִכְרַתִּ֥יve.hikh.ra.TiH3772offH3772manאָדָ֣ם'a.DamH120and beastוּבְהֵמָ֑הu.ve.he.MahH929from it. And I will layוּנְתַתִּ֤יהָu.ne.ta.Ti.haH5414it wasteחָרְבָּה֙cha.re.BahH2723; fromTemanמִתֵּימָ֔ןmi.tei.ManH8487even toDedanוּדְדָ֖נֶהu.de.Da.nehH1719they will fallיִפֹּֽלוּ׃yi.Po.luH5307by the swordבַּחֶ֥רֶבba.Che.revH2719.

14I will layוְנָתַתִּ֨יve.na.ta.TiH5414My vengeanceנִקְמָתִ֜יnik.ma.TiH5360on EdomH112by the handבְּיַד֙be.YadH3027of My peopleעַמִּ֣י'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478.Therefore, they will actוְעָשׂ֣וּve.'a.SuH6213in EdomH112according to My angerכְּאַפִּ֖יke.'a.PiH639and according to My wrathוְכַחֲמָתִ֑יve.kha.cha.ma.TiH2534;thus they will knowוְיָֽדְעוּ֙ve.ya.de.'UH3045My vengeanceנִקְמָתִ֔יnik.ma.TiH5360,”declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068.

15‘Thusכֹּ֤הkohH3541saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068, “Becauseיַ֛עַןYa.'anH3282the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖יםpe.lish.TimH6430have actedעֲשׂ֥וֹתa.SotH6213inrevengeבִּנְקָמָ֑הbin.ka.MahH5360and have takenוַיִּנָּקְמ֤וּvai.yi.na.ke.MuH5358vengeanceנָקָם֙na.KamH5359with scornבִּשְׁאָ֣טbish.'AtH7589of soulבְּנֶ֔פֶשׁbe.Ne.feshH5315to destroyלְמַשְׁחִ֖יתle.mash.ChitH4889with everlastingעוֹלָֽם׃o.LamH5769enmityאֵיבַ֥ת'ei.VatH342,”

16thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651thusכֹּ֤הkohH3541saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068, “BeholdH2009, I willstretchנוֹטֶ֤הno.TehH5186out My handיָדִי֙ya.DiH3027againstעַל־'al-H5921the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔יםpe.lish.TimH6430,even cutוְהִכְרַתִּ֖יve.hikh.ra.TiH3772offH3772theCherethitesכְּרֵתִ֑יםke.re.TimH3774and destroyוְהַ֣אֲבַדְתִּ֔יve.Ha.'a.vad.TiH6the remnantשְׁאֵרִ֖יתshe.'e.RitH7611of the seacoastח֥וֹף הַיָּֽם׃Chof hai.YamH3220 H2348.

17I will executeוְעָשִׂ֤יתִיve.'a.Si.tiH6213greatגְּדֹל֔וֹתge.do.LotH1419vengeanceנְקָמ֣וֹתne.ka.MotH5360on them with wrathfulחֵמָ֑הche.MahH2534rebukesבְּתוֹכְח֖וֹתbe.tokh.ChotH8433; and they willknowוְיָֽדְעוּ֙ve.ya.de.'UH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068when I layבְּתִתִּ֥יbe.ti.TiH5414My vengeanceנִקְמָתִ֖יnik.ma.TiH5360on them.”’”
