44“Beholdהִנֵּה֙hi.NehH2009,everyoneכָּל־kol-H3605who quotesH4911proverbsהַמֹּשֵׁ֔לha.mo.ShelH4911will quoteH4911thisproverbיִמְשֹׁ֖לyim.SholH4911concerningעָלַ֥יִךְ'a.La.yikhH5921you, sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, ‘Like motherכְּאִמָּ֖הke.'i.MahH517,like daughterבִּתָּֽהּ׃bi.TahH1323.’

45You are the daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of your motherאִמֵּ֣ךְ'i.MekhH517,who loathedגֹּעֶ֥לֶתgo.'E.letH1602her husbandאִישָׁ֖הּ'i.ShahH376and childrenוּבָנֶ֑יהָu.va.Nei.haH1121. 46Now yourolderהַגְּדוֹלָ֤הha.ge.do.LahH1419sisterוַאֲחוֹתֵ֨ךְva.'a.cho.TekhH269is Samariaשֹֽׁמְרוֹן֙sho.me.rOnH8111,who livesהַיּוֹשֶׁ֖בֶתhai.yo.She.vetH3427northשְׂמֹאולֵ֑ךְse.mo.LekhH8040of you with herdaughtersוּבְנוֹתֶ֔יהָu.ve.no.Tei.haH1323;and your youngerהַקְּטַנָּ֣הha.ke.ta.NahH6996sisterוַאֲחוֹתֵ֞ךְva.'a.cho.TekhH269,who livesהַיּוֹשֶׁ֙בֶת֙hai.yo.She.vetH3427southמִֽימִינֵ֔ךְmi.mi.NekhH3225of you, isSodomסְדֹ֖םse.DomH5467with herdaughtersוּבְנוֹתֶֽיהָ׃u.ve.no.Tei.haH1323.

47Yet you have not merely walkedהָלַ֔כְתְּha.LakhtH1980in their waysבְדַרְכֵיהֶן֙ve.dar.khei.HenH1870or doneעָשִׂ֑יתa.si.tiH6213according to their abominationsוּבְתוֹעֲבֽוֹתֵיהֶ֖ןu.ve.to.'a.vo.tei.HenH8441; but, as if that weretooקָ֔טKatH6985littleכִּמְעַ֣טkim.'AtH4592,you actedH7843moreH4480corruptlyוַתַּשְׁחִ֥תִיva.tash.Chi.tiH7843in allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605your conductדְּרָכָֽיִךְ׃de.ra.Kha.yikhH1870thanH4480they.

48As I liveחַי־chai-H2416,”declaresנְאֻם֙ne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068, “Sodomסְדֹ֣םse.DomH5467,your sisterאֲחוֹתֵ֔ךְ'a.cho.TekhH269and her daughtersוּבְנוֹתֶ֑יהָu.ve.no.Tei.haH1323havenot doneעָֽשְׂתָה֙'a.se.TahH6213as you and your daughtersוּבְנוֹתָֽיִךְ׃u.ve.no.Ta.yikhH1323have doneעָשִׂ֔ית'a.SitH6213.

49Beholdהִנֵּה־hi.neh-H2009,thisזֶ֣הzehH2088was the guiltעֲוֹ֖ן'a.VonH5771of your sisterאֲחוֹתֵ֑ךְ'a.cho.TekhH269Sodomסְדֹ֣םse.DomH5467:she and her daughtersוְלִבְנוֹתֶ֔יהָve.liv.no.Tei.haH1323hadH1961arroganceגָּא֨וֹןga.'onH1347,abundantH7654foodלֶ֜חֶםLe.chemH3899andcarelessהַשְׁקֵ֗טhash.KetH8252easeוְשַׁלְוַ֣תve.shal.VatH7962, but she did nothelpוְיַד־ הֶחֱזִֽיקָה׃ve.yad- he.che.Zi.kahH2388 H3027thepoorעָנִ֥י'a.NiH6041and needyוְאֶבְי֖וֹןve.'ev.YonH34.

50Thus they were haughtyוַֽתִּגְבְּהֶ֔ינָהva.tig.be.Hei.nahH1361and committedוַתַּעֲשֶׂ֥ינָהva.ta.'a.Sei.nahH6213abominationsתוֹעֵבָ֖הto.'e.VahH8441beforeלְפָנָ֑יle.fa.NaiH6440Me. Therefore Iremovedוָאָסִ֥ירva.'a.SirH5493themwhenH3512I sawרָאִֽיתִי׃ סra.'I.tiH7200it.

51Furthermore, Samariaוְשֹׁ֣מְר֔וֹןve.Sho.me.RonH8111did not commitחָטָ֑אָהcha.Ta.'ahH2398halfכַּחֲצִ֥יka.cha.TziH2677of your sinsחַטֹּאתַ֖יִךְcha.to.Ta.yikhH2403,for you have multipliedוַתַּרְבִּ֤יva.tar.BiH7235your abominationsתּוֹעֲבוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙to.'a.vo.Ta.yikhH8441moreH4480thanH4480they. Thus you have madeH6663your sistersאֲחוֹתַ֔יִךְ'a.cho.tekhH269appearrighteousוַתְּצַדְּקִי֙va.te.tza.de.KiH6663by allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605your abominationsתּוֹעֲבוֹתַ֖יִךְto.'a.vo.Ta.yikhH8441whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834you have committedעָשִֽׂית׃a.si.tH6213.

52AlsoH1571bearשְׂאִ֣יse.'IH5375your disgraceכְלִמָּתֵ֗ךְkhe.li.ma.TekhH3639in that you havemadeH6419judgmentH6419favorableH6419for your sistersלַֽאֲחוֹתֵ֔ךְla.'a.cho.TekhH269.Because of your sinsבְּחַטֹּאתַ֛יִךְbe.cha.to.Ta.yikhH2403in whichH834you actedH8581moreמִמֵּ֑ךְmi.MekhH4480abominablyהִתְעַ֥בְתְּhit.'AvtH8581thanH4480they, they are moreH4480in the rightH6663thanH4480you. 56As the name ofyour sisterאֲחוֹתֵ֔ךְ'a.cho.TekhH269Sodomסְדֹ֣םse.DomH5467was not heardלִשְׁמוּעָ֖הlish.mu.'AhH8052from your lipsבְּפִ֑יךְbe.FikhH6310in your dayבְּי֖וֹםbe.YomH3117of prideגְּאוֹנָֽיִךְ׃ge.'o.Na.yikhH1347,

57beforeבְּטֶרֶם֮be.te.RemH2962yourwickednessH7463was uncoveredתִּגָּלֶ֣הti.ga.LehH1540,soכְּמ֗וֹke.MoH3644nowעֵ֚ת'etH6256you have become thereproachחֶרְפַּ֣תcher.PatH2781of the daughtersבְּנוֹת־be.not-H1323ofEdomH112and of allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605who are aroundסְבִיבוֹתֶ֖יהָse.vi.vo.Tei.haH5439her, of the daughtersבְּנ֣וֹתbe.NotH1323of the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֑יםpe.lish.TimH6430--those surroundingמִסָּבִֽיב׃mi.sa.VivH5439youwho despiseH7751you.

58You haveborneנְשָׂאתִ֑יםne.sa.TimH5375the penalty ofyour lewdnessזִמָּתֵ֥ךְzi.ma.TekhH2154and abominationsתּוֹעֲבוֹתַ֖יִךְto.'a.vo.Ta.yikhH8441,”the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002.

59For thusכֹ֤הkhohH3541saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068, “I will also doוְעָשִׂ֥יתִיve.'a.sitH6213with you as you have doneעָשִׂ֑ית'a.SitH6213,you whoH834havedespisedבָּזִ֥יתba.ZitH959the oathאָלָ֖ה'a.LahH423by breakingלְהָפֵ֥רle.ha.FerH6565the covenantבְּרִֽית׃be.RitH1285.

60“Nevertheless, I will rememberוְזָכַרְתִּ֨יve.za.khar.TiH2142My covenantבְּרִיתִ֛יbe.ri.TiH1285with you in the daysבִּימֵ֣יbi.MeiH3117of your youthנְעוּרָ֑יִךְne.'u.Ra.yikhH5271,and I will establishוַהֲקִמוֹתִ֥יva.ha.ki.mo.TiH6965aneverlastingעוֹלָֽם׃o.LamH5769covenantבְּרִ֥יתbe.RitH1285with you.

61Then you willrememberוְזָכַ֣רְתְּve.za.KhartH2142your waysדְּרָכַיִךְ֮de.ra.kha.yiKhH1870and be ashamedוְנִכְלַמְתְּ֒ve.nikh.lamTH3637when you receiveבְּקַחְתֵּ֗ךְbe.kach.TekhH3947your sistersאֲחוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙'a.cho.Ta.yikhH269, bothyour olderהַגְּדֹל֣וֹתha.ge.do.LotH1419and your youngerהַקְּטַנּ֖וֹתha.ke.ta.NotH6996;and I will giveוְנָתַתִּ֨יve.na.ta.TiH5414them to you as daughtersלְבָנ֖וֹתle.va.NotH1323,but not becauseH4480of your covenantמִבְּרִיתֵֽךְ׃mi.be.ri.TekhH1285.

62Thus I willestablishוַהֲקִימוֹתִ֥יva.ha.ki.mo.TiH6965My covenantבְּרִיתִ֖יbe.ri.TiH1285with you, and you shallknowוְיָדַ֖עַתְּve.ya.Da.'atH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068,
