3“Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֗ם'a.DamH120,theseהָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ha.'E.lehH428menH376havesetהֶעֱל֤וּhe.'e.LuH5927up their idolsגִלּֽוּלֵיהֶם֙gi.lu.lei.HemH1544in their heartsלִבָּ֔םli.BamH3820and haveputנָתְנ֖וּna.te.NuH5414rightH5227beforeH5227their facesפְּנֵיהֶ֑םpe.nei.HemH6440the stumblingוּמִכְשׁ֣וֹלu.mikh.SholH4383blockH4383of their iniquityעֲוֹנָ֔ם'a.vo.NamH5771. Should I beconsultedהַאִדָּרֹ֥שׁha.'i.da.RoshH1875by them at allאִדָּרֵ֖שׁ'i.da.ReshH1875?

4Thereforeלָכֵ֣ןla.KhenH3651speakדַּבֵּר־da.ber-H1696to them and tellוְאָמַרְתָּ֨ve.'a.mar.TaH559them, ‘Thusכֹּה־koh-H3541saysאָמַ֣ר׀'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GodH3068, “Anyאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of the houseמִבֵּ֣יתmi.BeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֡לYis.ra.'ElH3478whoאֲשֶׁר֩'a.SherH834setsיַעֲלֶ֨הya.'a.LehH5927up his idolsגִּלּוּלָ֜יוgi.lu.LavH1544in his heartלִבּ֗וֹli.BoH3820,putsיָשִׂים֙ya.SimH7760rightH5227beforeH5227his faceפָּנָ֔יוpa.NavH6440the stumblingוּמִכְשׁ֤וֹלu.mikh.SholH4383blockH4383of his iniquityעֲוֹנוֹ֙a.vo.NoH5771, and thencomesH935to the prophetהַנָּבִ֑יאha.na.Vi'H5030,I the LordH3068will be broughtH6030to giveH6030him an answerנַעֲנֵ֧יתִיna.'a.Nei.tiH6030in the matter in view of themultitudeבְּרֹ֥בbe.RoH7230of his idolsגִּלּוּלָֽיו׃gi.lu.LavH1544,

7For anyoneH376of the houseמִבֵּ֣יתmi.BeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478or of theimmigrantsוּמֵהַגֵּר֮u.me.ha.GerH1616whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834stayיָג֣וּרya.GurH1481in Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵל֒be.Yis.ra.'ElH3478who separatesוְיִנָּזֵ֣רve.yi.na.ZerH5144himself from Me, setsוְיַ֤עַלve.Ya.'alH5927up his idolsגִּלּוּלָיו֙gi.lu.LavH1544in his heartלִבּ֔וֹli.BoH3820,putsיָשִׂ֖יםya.SimH7760rightH5227beforeH5227his faceפָּנָ֑יוpa.NavH6440the stumblingוּמִכְשׁ֣וֹלu.mikh.SholH4383blockH4383of his iniquityעֲוֹנ֔וֹa.vo.NoH5771, and thencomesוּבָ֤אu.Va'H935to the prophetהַנָּבִיא֙ha.na.Vi'H5030to inquireלִדְרָשׁ־lid.rosh-H1875of Me for himself,I the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068will be broughtH6030to answerנַֽעֲנֶה־na.'a.neh-H6030him in My own person.

8I willsetוְנָתַתִּ֨יve.na.ta.TiH5414My faceפָנַ֜יfa.NaiH6440against that manבָּאִ֣ישׁba.'IshH376and makeוַהֲשִֽׂמֹתִ֙יהוּ֙va.ha.si.mo.Ti.huH7760him asignלְא֣וֹתle.'otH226anda proverbוְלִמְשָׁלִ֔יםve.lim.sha.LimH4912,and I will cutוְהִכְרַתִּ֖יוve.hikh.ra.TivH3772him offH3772from amongמִתּ֣וֹךְmi.TokhH8432My peopleעַמִּ֑י'a.MiH5971.So you will knowוִֽידַעְתֶּ֖םvi.da'.TemH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.

9“But ifכִֽי־khi-H3588the prophetוְהַנָּבִ֤יאve.ha.na.Vi'H5030isprevailedיְפֻתֶּה֙ye.fu.TehH6601upon to speakוְדִבֶּ֣רve.di.BerH1696a wordדָּבָ֔רda.VarH1697,it is I, the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068, who haveprevailedפִּתֵּ֔יתִיpi.Tei.tiH6601upon that prophetהַנָּבִ֣יאha.na.Vi'H5030,and I will stretchוְנָטִ֤יתִיve.na.Ti.tiH5186out My handיָדִי֙ya.DiH3027againstעָלָ֔יו'a.LavH5921him anddestroyוְהִ֨שְׁמַדְתִּ֔יוve.Hish.mad.TivH8045him from amongמִתּ֖וֹךְmi.TokhH8432My peopleעַמִּ֥י'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

10They will bearוְנָשְׂא֖וּve.na.se.'UH5375the punishment oftheir iniquityעֲוֹנָ֑ם'a.vo.NamH5771;as the iniquityכַּֽעֲוֹן֙ka.'a.VonH5771of the inquirerהַדֹּרֵ֔שׁha.do.ReshH1875is, so the iniquityכַּעֲוֹ֥ןka.'a.VonH5771of the prophetהַנָּבִ֖יאha.na.Vi'H5030will be,

11in orderלְ֠מַעַןLe.ma.'anH4616that the houseבֵּֽית־beit-H1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478may noלֹֽא־lo'-H3808longerע֤וֹדodH5750strayיִתְע֨וּyit.'UH8582from Me and noוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808longerע֖וֹדodH5750defileיִטַּמְּא֥וּyi.ta.me.'UH2930themselves with allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605their transgressionsפִּשְׁעֵיהֶ֑םpish.'ei.HemH6588. Thus they will beMy peopleלְעָ֗םle.'AmH5971,and I shall be their Godלֵֽאלֹהִ֔יםle.lo.HimH430,”’declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068.”
